  1. pretty sad that the 11th overall pick from last year is still playing during garbage time
  2. Trent does remind me of Joe Ferguson with his tendency to get too discouraged too quickly. When TE starts off bad, it usually means he will be bad the whole game. I don't know how a guy shakes that tendency off. Maybe Gailey will be able to help him with that.
  3. I told myself that I will not let the Bills make me miserable this year. I tell myself that I know they will be terrible and to just sit back and enjoy football this year. But I know when I watch the opening game, I will put my whole heart into it again, get all riled up at the bad calls, the bad coaching(hoping Gailey is not like the last two), the errors, the mental mistakes, etc. So my mind says no chance they can make the playoffs, but my heart has hope, as always.
  4. Yes but it's not like he's a free agent. What would we have to give up to get him?
  5. ahh..ok..sorry I misunderstood
  6. you think Brohm is the only QB to play this week? really? http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/bills/2010-08-26-trent-edwards_N.htm
  7. You make a good point. He came out early so that fact probably buys him a little bit more time. I'm hoping you're right about next year. It did concern me to see him playing deep into the fourth quarter when all the "scrubs" are in the game. Maybe Gailey thinks he needs the reps.
  8. On a seperate topic, if anyone cares http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...ml?hpid=topnews
  9. LOL, yes, I do remember..maybe that will work out the same for the Jets
  10. too bad, Bills fans could use a little good news
  11. Smart man Rob...you're not wrong
  12. Good post...I agree that Kelsay may get cut. I just don't see him transitioning to outside linebacker. First time i have heard Drunkenmiller's name in the Bills ownership convo. Did you actually hear something or is it pure conjecture on your part?
  13. He definately has an education from the school of Hard Knock Ups
  14. Sanchez definately benefited from playing on a team with a very good defense. The Jets might have won the superbowl with a healthy Favre. I think Sanchez has a lot to prove this year. I for one didn't think he was worth the price the Jets paid to get him, but the jury is still out on him. Ryan said Sanchez worked as hard as anyone he as ever seen during the off season but that's all talk untill the player translates the hard work into results on the field.
  15. Great point. No one should ask another person to leave the board because they don't like their opinion. I am glad there are optimistis fans on the board, butI can't help but feel somewhat less than optimistic about this team, this year. Nothing wrong with both sides being here.
  16. I think Buddy cares, but I think he knows this isn't a one year fix. This will take at least three years to build if they are going to do it the way they originally claimed. Buddy clearly said he would build this team through the draft and a few middle of the road free agents. He never promised any big splashes in free agency. So if they do it right, it will take at least 3 years. If their draft picks don't pan out, the misery will continue. At least Buddy seems to be a good evaluator of talent, which is what the Bills will need to make this plan work. In any event, this year will be hard on Bills fans, in my opinion.
  17. I agree. We would be hiring a new coach every year with that standard.
  18. This ieatCrayonz person is just playing this board. He or she says what they say to get a reaction. I think he or she should just be ignored.
  19. My advice to Bills fans this year..have plenty of beer in the fridge.
  20. Yes i agree. Howard Simon should be embarrassed to admit that he didn't do his job. He reminds me of Billy Joe Hobert when he admitted he hadn't studied the playbook. We all know what happened to Billy Joe. I like Howard Simon, but that's just awful. he did his listeners a disservive. His boss needs to call him in and give him a wake up call. He didn't do his job.
  21. I think Kelsay might actually get cut. I don't see him transitioning very well to outside linebacker. Plus he makes too much money to be a part time player. Also the injury puts him way behind. Maybe they trade him, maybe he gets cut is my thinking
  22. How much will they save after they cut Chris Kelsay? I don't see him transitioning very well to outside linebacker in the 3-4.
  23. They are definately going to take some lumps this year. This team is not very good. Maybe they are anticipating a new Labor deal with a rookie salary cap. Then the huge risk factor in taking a QB early in the draft would be alleviated. This organization, with RW leading the way, does think about money first in most matters. Maybe they have to, because of the market their in. I don't know how much this team makes bottom line, but I do think decisions are made based on the bottom line. I do know they don't have the kind of money teams like Dallas have, so maybe it's a survival issue.
