Speaking of which, while watching 'NFL Total Access - Free Agency Frenzy' and hoping to see that Mario has signed with our beloved Bills, it caught my attention what a nice rack Lindsay (Soto) Rhodes has. Kudos, Lins.

Haha! I thought the same thing when I heard it. Only the Bills. No problem. Indeed...let's hope. I disagree. Lombardi is a former GM so I think that his statement carries more weight than your run-of-the-mill 'talking head'.

FWIW...shortly before 5:00PM today: - ESPN's 'NFL Live' said the Bears were moving on from Mario Williams. - On NFL Network, Jason LaCanfora & Mike Lombardi were talking to Rich Eisen. Lombardi said that "obviously Buffalo is now in the driver's seat and it would take something for them to mess it up not to get Mario Williams as they bring him on a visit. The visit really is just about getting a deal done...it's really not about, 'hey, we're gonna check it out, how's the locker room, what's the field look like', it's about money and it's about signing a contract." Eisen then proceeded to so, "So...you think Mario Williams will eventually wind up a Buffalo Bill?" Lombardi: "I think if somebody else doesn't come in...I think the one thing announcing you're going on a visit does to all the other teams, it alerts them that they could potentially sign...it's an advertisement for you to find out as an agent to see if someone else might be actually coming up to cough up the coin. But once the price is established, a lot of teams say, 'wait a minute..hold on...we're out on that one, we need to go somewhere else.' So I think, ultimately, the first visit is usually the best one." LaCanfora agreed. Here's to hoping they're right!

I'd gladly take either Garcon or Robinson. I'm not sure why people are so enamored with Meachem. The guy's a bum. A first round bust who's never lived up to the hype. I want no part of him. Do the right thing Buffalo and say "no" to Robert Meachem - a total waste of money.

Me, too. I want a dominant pass rush in the worst way. I'm so tired of the secondary getting eaten alive due to lack of pressure on the opposing QB. The Bills have a ton of draft picks to address other needs plus they could likely add depth/help with a solid, low cost FA or two. Go all in on Mario. If he isn't interested of appears far too pricey, switch gears and move on to 'plan B'.

Agree with all of the above. I love RGIII's potential and think the kid has a great demeanor but this was an irresponsible deal by Washington, IMHO. They're not going to win with him this year, anyway. Had they held off on this deal, they likely would have been drafting in the top 5 next year (not that they won't anyway). There are several "franchise" QBs entering the draft next year. The deadskins would probably have been able to land one of them at their own slot in '13 rather than pay the king's ransom that they did. Seems like the typical, splashy, knee-jerk move by 'Little Dummy' Snyder. Only time will tell whether or not this trade works out for them but their history says, "no".

Agreed. I'm thrilled Chandler's back. Color me unimpressed with Bennett who in all likelihood would've been a much pricier option without a major upgrade at the position. Dallas really likes John Phillips who's been breathing down Bennett's neck and making a real push to be the #2 TE behind Jason Witten. Good move by the FO...welcome back, Scott. Again, spot on. These "they better not spend too much on player X" whiners are the inbred cousins of the "Ralph's cheap" crowd. Bingo. The Bills got their guys in Stevie & Chandler at a price they deemed fair to both the team and the players. They're inked...that's what matters. The "Jr. capologist wannabes" need to let it go.
