The Dolphins and Jaguars Unveil New Uniforms Today
ExWNYer replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's just something about Florida and $h!tty uniforms that seem to go hand in hand. Tampa Bay should go back to the creamsicle orange unis. -
Ian Rapoport - Bills not going after 2nd pick
ExWNYer replied to Ittakestime's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I went to school with Jimmy thru most of middle school. He moved to Florida to train during our 8th grade year and my family and I moved to Virginia with a month to go in my 8th grade year. He was in several classes with me growing up. -
So, what you're saying then...is that the choice is between one of these two?
-
I don't think that anyone will convince you that he won't suck if you believe that he will. So many people are so firmly entrenched on their opinions on these QBs, good & bad, that no amount of video, stats, or politicking will change anything. If they take him & you still aren't convinced, I hope you can learn how to deal with it. No matter who we like or dislike, one thing is certain...they're taking THEIR guy. GO BILLS!!!

1) If Pace is stupid enough to do something like that then he'll be out of a job in no time. Maybe Payton should ask Pace for Trubisky if they're so tight. I'm sure he'd get a nice friends and family discount. 2) Did you buy the team from Benson's wife after he passed? 3) Doubtful, especially not because of a "fear" of the Saints moving up. 4) Welcome to the board.

One, two, three of four QBs for the Bills?
ExWNYer replied to dtgolder's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Your post count indicates that you've been around long enough to know that's not the way things work around here. Rational thought has no place on this board at this time of year. Now here is a guy who gets it. -
At least they kept their tradition of having a $h!tty uniform... And the numbers are ridiculously bad.

Good God, the draft can't get here fast enough. The Jest didn't give up three 2nd Round picks to take a a RB, no matter how good. They're grabbing their franchise QB. Deal with it.

Lauletta or Rudolph? Who is the better prospect?
ExWNYer replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's like asking if you'd rather be shot or stabbed. That being said... To me , it's scenario #2. -
Lauletta or Rudolph? Who is the better prospect?
ExWNYer replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
FWIW, the University of Richmond football coach was on local radio here a few weeks back and said that he is hoping that Kyle Lauletta goes to the Pats*. Said that he compares Lauletta to Jimmy Garoppolo and would fit perfectly with Belichick. -
As a Mets fan, I love this. As a Bills fan, I hate it...

Report: Bills Release DE Ryan Davis

Maybe, but the fact remains that they've never executed a trade. History is on the side of the Bills here. Unless the Giants just don't want to move out of the top 3, they could get much more from the Broncos or the Bills then they would swapping one spot with the Jest. If they swap to 3 and then come to the Bills, I tell them that the offer is greatly reduced because I'm not taking sloppy seconds behind my division rival.
-
I don't see this happening unless the Jest blow their socks off with a huge over payment. No way the G-men want to allow the Jest to get their choice (2nd at worst) of QBs. The franchises have never made a deal in their histories. This is Mets-Yankees, NFL style. I just don't believe it...but who knows? This is one weird off-season.

Jets just traded with Colts for #3 pick in first round
ExWNYer replied to Hurricane's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't worry. By the time you read this, it will already have been taken care of... -
Don't sell yourself short, dude. Tall is a state of mind. Carry yourself like Beane. He'd tell you that you're tall...but would it just be an elaborate smokescreen to throw you off of the fact that you really ARE short in order to lull another board into taking you ahead of TBD?? Brilliant!

I agree. They're in a big market which doesn't have the patience for a rebuild and everything they've done this off season points to a win now mentality. I think they either take Barkley or trade out for a boatload of picks, winning now while retooling on the fly for the future. They can also get another stud RB like Chubb or Michel, if they don't take Barkley.

They just restructured Tannehill and the deal makes it much more difficult to cut him loose. They are not coming up to #2. Not in this or any other universe. -

This, in a nutshell, is a flawed approach, IMO. Every amateur armchair GM on this board has their favorite or favorites and thinks that if the Bills don't agree, don't take said player, or fail to pull off a trade for said player then they don't know what they're doing. Odds are that two or all three of these QBs are more likely not to be franchise QBs than all three of them hitting. Posters get so wrapped up in their own convictions on a player(s) that they can't allow for the possibility that they just could be wrong. I like all three of those QBs and I agree that they will probably be good players but the truth is that I honestly don't know...and neither do you or anyone else. The Bills' brain trust is paid to figure out these things and have the time and resources available to them to make the best decision that we as fans do not. The chess match has begun and the Bills end game will be critical. Here's to hoping that they get it right...whether that means trading up or staying put. -

That's for the front office of the team trading up to decide. You're not going to mortgage the farm to get to #1 unless you have the conviction that your guy is a franchise QB for the next 10-15 years. Just because fans or pundits don't believe that there is a clear cut number one does not mean that NFL front offices feel that way. They are paid handsomely to figure that out. -

ExWNYer replied to Hurricane's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone wanting to trade up for a QB and within striking distance of #1 would be foolish not to try for #1...it's the only way to ensure you get the guy you definitely want. I don't think the Browns are moving. They have to get it right this time. -

ExWNYer replied to Hurricane's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. The Bills had the ammo to beat the Jest's offer and can still get ahead of them if the NYG are willing to deal. Beane was worried about trading into #3 and having the Jest jump him at #2, IMO. There is no way that the Giants want their NJ rivals to make the big splash in this draft. This is a Mets vs. Yankees type of situation. If Gettleman wants a QB, he still gets his choice (at least his second choice). If he doesn't, I think he deals with his pal, Beane, to screw the Jest. Imagine the headlines in the Big Apple: 'Giants Deal #2 Pick to Jets Division RIval' or maybe the NY Post: 'Bills Come Due For Jets in Giant Deal'.
