  1. I brought my son to his first game when he was 10 or 11, spent all morning at the Pinto and it was fine. In fact all of the people there, before as well as after the game, went out of their way to make sure he was well fed (his favorites were the pizza and the bacon cooked on the Pinto, and still are! ) and taken care of. Of course you will see drunks there, it is a Bills home game after all. If you tailgate at all you are bound to see that. And the ketchup ceremony, how could any father not let his son experience that at least once
  2. The biggest thing is to set your weather app for Orchard Park, not Buffalo. The weather can be fairly different, believe it or not. But when the temp is in the low 40's with a 80% chance of precipitation, what you tend to end up with is a mix of rain sleet and maybe a few snow flakes. Not as bad as it sounds, IF you are dressed appropriately. If you are not it can be a miserable experience (not unlike losing badly to the Pats ).
  3. Cue Dr. FeelGood with his magic needle
  4. And make sure your family is dressed properly ... "wintery mix" rain/sleet/a-few-flakes and cold (by Virginia standards anyway) is forecast so they will need to stay dry and warm
  5. Yeah the Buffalo weather could come to the aid of the Bills if that "wintery mix" shows up like they are saying it will. Take Dalton right out of the game. If that weather does hit, and Karlos can play it really helps the Bills chances. Holding off on my prediction until I can get a better feel for both of those factors (yeah I'm a chicken ****, I know )
  6. People are going to try and talk themselves into whatever they like, that's human nature. But Roman and Ryan picked Taylor over Manuel for a reason, that reason being that in their opinion Taylor gives them the better chance of winning overall. Period. Even when Taylor was obviously banged up Sunday after the pseudo horse collar, they put Manuel in for one play only and it was a simple hand off. Even now after signing a QB off the street, Ryan is still holding out hope that Taylor can still play Sunday. It is exceptionally clear that Roman and Ryan don't view Manuel as an upgrade ... in any regard.
  7. I didn't like any of the choices so I didn't vote, For me, he is the Bills starting QB this weekend so he has my support.
  8. Signing another QB is Rex playing games?
  9. Not 100% sure but I think it was most rushing yards by a QB.
  10. Not even close. Shady out. Sammy out. Rookie QB (in experience anyway) New HC New OC New DC All new schemes on both sides of the ball. And no matter what, TBD will always have this one ... horrible refs that always are biased against the Bills. EDIT: Add TT out
  11. He will NEED Karlos at the very least. But apparently he is uncertain as well.
  12. Most Bills fans prefer Bills homer announcers. They will gladly put up with sucking at the job for the pro Bills bias. Probably the same for most teams fans.
  13. To my knowledge none of the models take individual players into account. Plus the later in the season the better it generally does.
  14. This graph shows how several of them are doing this season so far. I would expect the models to get better as the season goes on because every week gives them more data.
  15. CBS with Spread (Bills +2.5) : 6 take the Bengals and 2 take the Bills. (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/features/writers/expert/picks/against-the-spread/6) CBS Straight Up: 7 take the Bengals and 1 took the Bills.(http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/features/writers/expert/picks/straight-up/6) ESPN: 12 picking the Bengals and 1 picked the Bills. (http://espn.go.com/nfl/picks) Microsoft Cortana (Went 10-4 in week 5): Bengals 52% chance to win. (http://www.cortanapredictions.com/) FiveThirtyEight: (Went 12-2 in week 5): Bengals 53% chance to win. (http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2015-nfl-predictions/) Amos: (Went 10-4 in week 5) Bills 55% chance to win. (http://trevorbischoff.com/nfl-2015-week-6-predictions/) FiveThirtyEight predicts a 9-7 record for the Bills this season with a 45% (up from 38%) chance of making the playoffs and a 1% (unchanged) chance of winning it all. Amos predicts a 10-6 record for the Bills this season. SportsClubStats (http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NFL/AFC/AFCEast/Buffalo.html) predicts a record of 9-7 with a 53% chance of making the playoffs.
  16. The FiveThirtyEight ELO spread is Bills +1. Gambling line will undoubtedly be higher to get people to bet the Bills.
  17. I would have liked to have had a receiver hooked up to hear what Rex was saying after that play
  18. I have always had trouble with Chromecast as well with HD streams. It comes to a device in my house (desktop) over the wifi, then over to the chromecast also via wifi. It ends up being just too much. I will probably just get it to my laptop then to the TV via HDMI.
  19. Really, not the massive collective Titan defensive brain fart that allowed the only offensive Bill player that had any success all day, TT, to run and convert a 3rd and 26?
  20. Apparently there is no chromecast app for this yet. You would be forced to display the page in chrome and cast the entire tab. Which has really sucked every time I have tried it and was unwatchable.
  21. Curse you and your confounded logic. We will have none of that during a "refs are out to get the Bills" thread. Good day to you sir!
  22. Concussions are neither of these.
  23. Added SportsClubStats and a request for help and enlightenment
