Anyone know how ticket sales are going?
CodeMonkey replied to K-No's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think it's fair to call anyone a band wagon jumper after the decade of **** the Bills FO has shoveled onto the field. But I do agree with you about ticket sales. Bills fans are by and large loyal (to a fault). Plus to a large group of people it is less about winning and more about the game day experience anyway. -
Any season ticket holders...

It might depend on how games 1-10 go -
Can brain damaged be considered a injury?

There are so many "if's" on this team predicting #19 or predicting #29 is all the same to me. It would be unreasonable to pick the Bills to be #32 or in the top half at the end of the season. If the switch to a 3-4 isn't a disaster like it generally has been for most teams making the switch ... If Gailey can manage to get something that doesn't suck out of one of our QBs ... If said QB doesn't end up in the hospital for half of the season from getting pummeled trying to pass ... If the O-line can provide adequate pass protection ... If the O-line can provide enough run blocking to let our "waterbugs" dance around and make some yardage ... If beastmode can return to his rookie season form (and eligible to play) ... If Evans steps up and shows he CAN be a #1 WR ... and so on ... Then the #21 (and maybe even higher) seems reasonable. If not, then #29 seems more likely. Too many If's to make any kind of accurate prediction in my opinion.

First of all you are making a big assumption ... that Lynch can read. And secondly I believe your Jackson/Spiller assessment is way off the mark. In your scenario we would essentially have 2 "scatbacks" with not much of a OL, no up the gut running threat, no #1 WR and no QB to throw to a #1 WR if we had one. Thus turning a suspect offense into a weak offense. I know Lynch dissed the B-Lo in some peoples eyes, but trading Lynch for anything less than a 2nd is a BAD move for the Bills in my opinion.

How the Bills might fit in the NFL this year
CodeMonkey replied to sllib olaffub's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for the laughs. They were needed today. Nobodies on a fan(boy) forum know more than analysts on the NFL Network, Gailey a "offensive Juggernaut". Classic stuff -

Nfl sunday ticket; Who's signing up?

Even more of a difference is watching hockey in HD. If I watch it now in SD I have trouble following the puck. I think for anyone who watches sports, HD is a great investment. -
No matter if you think he was great, good, or overrated. I think most will agree that the Bills have no one better or even as good to take his place. So by definition the defense is weaker without him.

You must be clairvoyant to know who is telling the truth (PigBen or the girl). I was not there and I am not clairvoyant so therefore I can't say who is telling the truth.

Or the Orchard Park Bills.

Like I said, I understand having fun with the name. Just wonder what people see in him as a Bill is all because I don't see much so far to get excited about. (yeah yeah, excited wang ...)

Three and out. -
I am amazed by the fascination with this guy (besides his name i mean). Didn't look like a whole lot to me at the open practice and I mean physically as well as in the drills. Doesn't mean he won't develop into something someday, but why all the interest now?

Nfl sunday ticket; Who's signing up?

How is going to a sports bar a competitor to watching the game(s) that you want, be it the bills and lions or colts and cards, and switch between them or watching them picture in picture and switching games when one gets boring? You go to sports bars where people get their own TVs? So that is not a competitor. But why does the NFL give DTV the monopoly? What's wrong with allowing all the cable and sat providers the option of offering the ticket to their customers like all the other major sports do with theirs like MLB, NBA, NHL, and even MLS? -

I suspect he is talking about the fact that DTV has the monopoly on the ticket and that neither Dish or any cable providers can offer it. -
Who's at the practice??????????
CodeMonkey replied to Bill Cowher's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought Brohm looked like the starter to me. Built better that TE and carried himself with confidence. TE was always shaking his head when he missed a pass in the 7 on 7 for example and walking with his head down. Brohm was hitting his targets downfield and looked like a leader. Lots of fans? A few thousand I'd guess which was fine by me. Got to sit in the first row after standing by the tunnel. And drove right in and more important, right out after. No line at all. We loved it. -

Actually I have some tools that can look at compression in the sat signals and generally now Dish has a slightly better picture quality than DTV. Dish has been adding sats at a good pace and in fact are testing another one now that should go live soon that, at least currently, is being used for almost all HD content. The bottom line on quality is this. Cable is horrible because they have to compress the **** out of their HD because of their limited bandwidth. But the sat providers are pretty equal quality wise. However I believe Dish now has more HD content and soon should have a bit more. But for now at least if you want the sunday ticket there is only one place to go and that's DTV. -
Wow my 11 year old son and I walked away with the completely opposite opinion! 1) Season ticket holders got a coupon for a free dog, drink and popcorn ... one per ticket. 2) Entrance and parking all free. 3) Not sure what open practice you were at, but there were nowhere near 20000 people there. Drop a zero and you would be a lot closer to reality 4) They had bouncy house stuff outside for the smaller kids ... free. 5) They took pictures of us with the field as a background they we can look at online and use on facebook if we like ... free. 6) Yeah it was only 2 hours, but it was a full 2 hours. Got to sit in the first row and watch all 4 QBs run drills and work the 7 on 7's for example. I thought overall is was very well done ... and did I mention free ... and we are definitely planning on going next year if they do it again! We cooked in the parking lot too so if you are upset about not getting a cheap pretzel try that next time. Seems stupid to go there in June for a two hour practice and spend any of it getting food.

Dish Network and cable do not have the ticket. DirecTV has exclusive rights in the US. That's the main reason they can keep the price high plus the fee they pay the NFL (those greedy !@#$s) keeps going up every year as well. If you want the ticket you have to get it through them. People who live in the buffalo market get all the Bills games on network TV anyway. If you only watch the Bills it is a high price to pay. I'd get a PC/Laptop with a HDMI out and show the online games on the TV myself. -
He was interested in sportscasting if memory serves. Maybe he got an offer in that area.
