  1. I wouldn't classify it as Nix being scared. That's just not how he rolls. Many share your frustration. But if you are expecting the Bills to do something radical either in FA or the draft, you are setting yourself up for more frustration.
  2. Actually I appreciate that in general. It hurts my ears listening to the talking heads while GMs sit around and waste time knowing full well who they are going to pick. I agree with you that Fitz is the man for the foreseeable future (at least as long as ChaNix are calling the shots). I also think that even if Nix didn't think Fitz was his guy and he thought that Griffin was, he could not force himself to make the kind of deal it would take for the Bills to get Griffin. I actually agree with you about something , well after you strip out the negativity in your post that is.
  3. Well, it IS business as usual at OBD. Keep the seasons numbers reasonable, a modest decline year to year is acceptable. Maybe throw in something once in a while to generate some enthusiasm among the fan base to boost sales. As long as Mr. Wilson continues to make money (and given his 0 debt load, ability to keep payroll reasonable, and no money outlay into the Ralph, I don't see how he could possibly lose money regardless of ticket sales), and there is an extraordinary fan base willing to support the team no matter what, why go all in and get a player who may make your payroll unreasonable someday? Try and keep the team competitive (or at least close enough where your fans think you are close to being competitive with a few breaks) as to make the team profitable. Mr. Wilson is not a multimillionaire by accident.
  4. This being the worst one of them all.
  5. He has only had 2 drafts as a GM ever, and he is a old school kind of a guy. Not surprising. In fact I think I remember about this time last year Nix making statements about not liking to trade down or up.
  6. This line sums up Fitz perfectly in my opinion. As to the rest of your well thought out post, I can't disagree in theory with what you are saying. But a couple of points if I may ... 1) It is not in Nix's DNA, in my opinion, to go all-in and make this kind of a deal. 2) This is year 3 of the ChaNix era. Years 1 and 2 being utterly underwhelming. I suspect a SB isn't even entering Nix's mind. He is thinking about making the playoffs and staying a GM in the NFL. You make good points, but come draft day I expect to see the Bills picking 10th, or there abouts, and picking whomever they feel is the best player available at the time. For better or for worse.
  7. I just don't think it is in Nix's DNA to make the kind of all-in trade it would take to get RG. He is a stay the course kind of a guy, not a wheeler-dealer. Plus it is not outside the realm of possibility that he thinks Fitz is his guy.
  8. Mortgage 2 drafts for him? No. If the Bills were close to being a complete team and only needed a QB then maybe, but not with the laundry list of needs that they have now.
  9. The only reason Atlanta is ahead of Buffalo is because they have 5 teams to suck and Buffalo only has 3. Otherwise we'd kick their ass.
  10. Only when you compare him to W or Romney.
  11. Unless the DC Cheerleaders perform topless I doubt that would be an issue
  12. A Jill, absolutely. A Cowboy Cheerleader, no way.
  13. You should email that to King Roger.
  14. The same way some people here are projecting the Bills to make the playoffs next season before the draft and FA. You just polish up the ole crystal ball ...
  15. And what about the "F the future, I want playoffs NOW" crowd. They will be calling for Nix to be run out of town if the playoff drought increases to lucky number 13. And the people that believe Fitz is a top tier QB. There would be a lot of people pissed at ole Buddy if he did that.
  16. So this would imply that WannaStache was not intense last season?
  17. I agree. Not in Buddy Nix's character to mortgage even 1 draft for 1 player, much less 2 drafts.
  18. At the end of the day not that much pressure. Spiller scored a 10 and got taken at #9. This test does not seem to matter much overall.
  19. Why would they make a definitive statement either way at this point?
  20. Maybe I can settle this Fitz versus Eli thing. Fitz is a Bill. Eli is not a Bill. Therefore, Fitz is a better QB than Eli.
  21. I sure hope that's what he did! But one number he kicks my ass in is the net worth number. Go figure
  22. I saw several people reference Spillers score so I looked it up. 10 !!!!!!! Are you kidding me For simplicity, assuming 50 questions with half of them being being multiple choice with 4 possible answers and answering each one randomly: 25 * .25 = 6.25 So CJ didn't do much better than marking only the multiple choice questions randomly. Nice.
  23. I don't think anyone would argue against that the D played poorly and contributed significantly to the last half of the season. But that isn't the only reason in my opinion. Teams figured out (Jets being the first) that if you crowd the line and take away the short game, you take away the Bills only serious offensive weapons. Fitz throwing deep does not scare anyone but Bills fans. The challenge for Gailey this season will be to figure out a way to combat what teams did to the Bills the last half of last season. The challenge for the Stache is somewhat more daunting. Figure out a way not to suck ass.
  24. I am going to give it to my 13 year old and 11 year olds tonight just to see how they do. I expect them to miss those 2 word problems but I suspect they will get most of the others right.
  25. I have seen those before or it probably would have gotten me as well. Things like swapping of "ie" and "ei" are easy to overlook if you don't know to specifically look for stuff like that.
