  1. I have never been one to give Nix or anyone else in the front office a free pass on anything. I don't necessarily agree with every pick, but overall I think this was the best Bills draft that I can remember. Add that to what I feel is the best FA I can remember, and the Bills had one hell of an offseason. Just my opinion, but I don't think you need to be a Kool Aid drinker to like this offseason.
  2. Better in January than now.
  3. I'd give this draft a B+ and the offseason as a whole a A+. Only a B+ because of the first pick. Overall I couldn't be happier with what the front office has done. The success of the Bills this season depends upon Fitz and Gaileys play calling in my opinion.
  4. I'd take him over pigpen if the price was right. If he ends up better than Fitz, use him. If not, he is the backup. All predicated on getting him for a good price though.
  5. That's what I was thinking when they showed his film after the pick and used the words "high motor" and "one trick pony".
  6. A running back??? A little running back????? WTF are they thinking!!! Oh wait I'm having a flashback to two drafts ago
  7. I think there aren't even any leaks. These writers have to fill up a column and there is nothing going on right now in the football world. So they make all this leak BS up. Nix must have his plan figured out by now so how about ignoring all these draft "experts" and guys with the alleged inside info and just wait 36 hours and see what he has in mind.
  8. Should have had that conversation head-coach to asst. head-coach a year earlier.
  9. Having the offense actually adjust like you stated needs to happen as well. I didn't see that at all last season. Hopefully we will this season.
  10. The way some people whine around here about anything and everything it's like they expect King Roger to give the Bills a free pass into the playoffs each season.
  11. They used to have a channel available well before opening weekend that you could tune to and verify if they had you marked as a subscriber or not. It was right before the sunday ticket channels in the guide.
  12. Southwest actually You need a fairly clear view of the southern sky.
  13. Based on how flexible others have said DTV is, I would give that a shot.
  14. Stupid? Tell that to Mr. Wilsons accountant. I suspect he would strongly disagree with you
  15. Sunday Ticket is still subject to blackouts though, just like cable or over-the-air TV. But 40% is a sweet deal. Imagine how much money they have made on the ticket in the past if they can afford to give an across the board 40% discount to everyone.
  16. It is not unusual to see short term anomalies like this. But they generally smooth out when you look at a larger sample, like this has. Additionally, teams in the AFC east would have a better chance of this happening than non AFCE teams simply because of the fact that they play the Bills twice a season, every season. Bottom line, I know there is not a lot else to talk about right now, but this is a non-issue.
  17. I sure hope you are right. But for now I'm still waiting.
  18. I didn't like the Spiller pick then or now. This past season certainly did not prove the wisdom of the pick to me. Spiller clearly improved certain aspects of his game as the season went on, but his overall performance was not one of a first round running back in his second season in my opinion. I'm not ready to call him a bust (yet). But I am also nowhere near ready to call it a wise pick either. How many years until he realizes the potential?
  19. Tough schedule???? Bills schedule is a gift from the heavens With the offseason additions and this cupcake schedule (yeah a lot of early games on the road, but look at the overall) the Bills really have no excuses at all for not posting an impressive record this season.
  20. Not many in recent years. "uncomfortable and inconvenient" isn't necessary to change. Not saying it is a bad idea, just not mandatory. If it was deemed dangerous then it would be mandatory, not called "modernizing". So apparently the state disagrees with your assessment that it is dangerous. From everything I have read to date, no one is saying any of these renovations are required. Or did I miss something? If they are things that the Bills want for fan comfort or whatever and the Bills deem them as badly needed then fine, fund them with fan money. That's all I'm saying.
  21. I don't think the point of the renovations is revenue. But I'm not positive because I don't really understand the point of these renovations in the first place. I see the word "modernize" thrown around and some seem to think its critical to keeping the Bills in Buffalo for some reason. But none of it makes any sense to me. It feels like a $200 million boondoggle. Bottom line for me is as long as it is self-funded by subsidies on ticket prices, concessions, parking, etc. I'm good with it. But since it has no bearing on fan safety, to me that makes it unnecessary. So I don't want any public money going into it at all. Not that my opinion on the matter amounts to squat
  22. Just got a text from the Bills. Schedule on BB.com Tuesday at 7pm.
