  1. Like i said, if Manuel sucks the rest of the way then yeah they certainly have to consider a QB in the first or at least very early. But they need receivers, OL, at least one LB, Spiller seems to be just a situational back and FredEX ain't getting any younger, and they will probably lose Byrd this offseason. There are plenty of positions other than QB to spend high draft picks on. OL upgrades being at the top of my personal list (but I say that not being a college football fan so I don't know if any good ones are coming out this year or not).
  2. One thing that bothered me a little yesterday was watching this Gragg guy celebrate the TD in garbage time. I understand him being happy due to the fact that he probably won't be getting many in his career, but come on. Your team got its ass handed to it all day and in every way and you are celebrating making the score a little closer with a few seconds left? The fact that I was still watching the game at that point bothers me as well
  3. Anyone who was expecting Manuel to be Andrew Luck was deluding themselves. I never understood the decision to draft Manuel in the first round, but hoped that Marrone and company knew what they were doing. Manuel may or may not pan out in the NFL. But all the "EJ3" proclaimers were always just kidding themselves.
  4. Boy I don't know. Yesterdays performance by Manuel sucked in epic proportions to be sure. Lewis, and even Tuel played better than Manuel did yesterday. The only thing he did well was to get out of bounds or slide on his runs. But to say now that the Bills should take another QB with their first round pick when there are so many needs on the team? If Manuel sucks the rest of the season and shows no signs of getting better, I suppose that's a consideration. But to say it now seems very premature to me.
  5. So, are we going to see a new "run the table?" thread each week now?
  6. My concern with SJ13 is that he seems to have chronic groin and hamstring issues.
  7. Marrone was asked that in the presser too and apparently it was never a consideration.
  8. I prefer tangibles, but that's just me.
  9. He was asked about that in the presser linked above. He basically said he didn't believe the offense could get the 1st and thought the defense had a better chance to get the ball back quick. The way the offense was playing I can't say I disagree with his assessment of them, but down by 14 you would think the Bills were in 4 down territory. I was half expecting a fake punt so I was watching the Stillers D and they were ready for that.leaving 3 I think LBs ready to make a play. Out played and out coached. So now onto Sexy Rexy and the Jets, who are now very much in the running for a wildcard spot.
  10. Also neglects draft order every year based on finishing position which attempts to level the playing field as well.
  11. They played like that should have been wearing pink tutus today.
  12. You are obviously a much kinder person than I am
  13. Wow what a piece of **** PC. My personal favorite: "We are going to continue to build a winning mindset. And that's very difficult to do when you don't win" Christ. And I thought the game was embarrassing to watch.
  14. Huh? Spiller had 8 runs for 23 yards with a long of 7. "every good run"? Please.
  15. All Bills fans that traveled to witness that turd deserve something.
  16. He sure didn't show it today. He was flat out horrible. I don't mind the bad throws by Manuel. He hasn't played in a month. But the multiple terrible decisions are a real concern. I'm hoping it's just because he is a rookie. But it is still concerning. I said earlier in this week that I didn't see how the Steelers could win that game. Man was I wrong. As bad as the Steelers may be this season, the Bills looked far far worse today. Very disappointing. The Bills were out played and out coached across the board. That sure was a difficult game to stomach.
  17. I could see a "cut EJ now, tank the season, and draft a QB with the first round pick" thread getting some traction.
  18. Yes but for me at least, this is the only time that I can remember that it is at least within the realm of possibility that they could get close to running the table.
  19. The way it reads, he is free to play this season for anyone but Buffalo.
  20. I have never been a fan of tax money going to a corporation, the NFL in this case, that already makes almost obscene amounts of money. The NFL should be free to get as much money as they can from TV contracts, merchandise, ticket prices, concessions, etc. because football is their product to market as they see fit. But to give them public (tax) money, paid by a great many people who could not care less about a football team, is insane.
  21. The Bills positioned themselves with regards to the QB situation. Including keeping a #2 on the roster that Marrone seemed deathly afraid to start when Manuel was injured. I know that the Bills have sucked for a long time and Rome was not built in a day. And I also like the apparent trajectory of the team more now than any time in the past 13 years and am very hopeful not only for the remainder of this season, but the upcoming seasons as well. But stating "the season starts now" is ludicrous, at least to me.
  22. Damn zebras cost the Bills 65.9% of those losses!
  23. I agree with you except that even though LAX is popular as well, soccer fields, at least here, and not being converted to LAX fields. And kids 4-17 are STILL playing. I think that the main reason the games popularity in the US has not significantly increased with adults is due to the lack of a a good quality professional league here. The MLS bringing in a few big name players at the end of their careers when they can't cut it in the top European leagues any more is a joke. Soccer is wildly popular in the rest of the world, it is an interesting phenomenon that it is not here.
  24. A healthy Spiller is going to be critical this week.
