I don't think I have ever seen fans turn on a HC so quickly. Generally they are given more than 10 games before being run out of town.

Bills' Blackout Threats Are a Joke
CodeMonkey replied to patfitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is always hope because there are a lot of Miami fans in the area. But then again, they are all smart enough to get their tickets for half face value or less on stubhub. -
If the sky is not falling, then it must be God taking a dump on Bills fans.

Like it or not, Marrone et.al. have anointed Manuel as the QB of the future. The took him with their first draft pick. Even if the Bills managed to win yesterday with Lewis it was unlikely the Bills would make it into the post season with the players they have now. And even if that minor miracle did happen due to the soft remaining schedule, they would have gotten crushed in the first playoff game. The important thing now is to see if Manuel has what it takes to be a NFL QB. Not to appease fans who want to see a playoff game, not matter how pointless. The only way to know is to see him play in live games.

Why isn't anyone talking about Stevie?
CodeMonkey replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly the reason why no one would trade anything of value for him. He gets open but drops the big ones, he does not have the speed to be a game changing WR (but probably OK for a slot receiver), seems to have chronic groin and hamstring issues and can't stay on the field (or shouldn't be on the field). What would you think if the Bills traded a decent draft pick to another team for a SJ13 clone? -
I said the same thing when I watched the presser. Gailey had that same look as well. But Gailey WAS old to begin with.

I still believe in EJ Manuel
CodeMonkey replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe so. And I know that Marrone and the FO reached at least a little for Manuel at least in most peoples (outside of hardcore Bills fans maybe ) opinions so admitting that was a mistake would be very difficult. But to Marrones credit, he does not seem to shy away from admitting his shortcomings. This particular one would be a BIG one to admit however. All of the above presupposes that Manuel does not show steady improvement over the remainder of the season, which I am still hopeful that he does. -
Why would anyone stress over a game that they have no investment other than being a fan of the team? If I was Marrone, Hackett, Brandon, or any number of players who will more than likely be working in the fast food industry this time next year then yeah, I'd be stressed. But just a fan??

Like i said, if Manuel sucks the rest of the way then yeah they certainly have to consider a QB in the first or at least very early. But they need receivers, OL, at least one LB, Spiller seems to be just a situational back and FredEX ain't getting any younger, and they will probably lose Byrd this offseason. There are plenty of positions other than QB to spend high draft picks on. OL upgrades being at the top of my personal list (but I say that not being a college football fan so I don't know if any good ones are coming out this year or not). -
One thing that bothered me a little yesterday was watching this Gragg guy celebrate the TD in garbage time. I understand him being happy due to the fact that he probably won't be getting many in his career, but come on. Your team got its ass handed to it all day and in every way and you are celebrating making the score a little closer with a few seconds left? The fact that I was still watching the game at that point bothers me as well

Anyone who was expecting Manuel to be Andrew Luck was deluding themselves. I never understood the decision to draft Manuel in the first round, but hoped that Marrone and company knew what they were doing. Manuel may or may not pan out in the NFL. But all the "EJ3" proclaimers were always just kidding themselves.

Boy I don't know. Yesterdays performance by Manuel sucked in epic proportions to be sure. Lewis, and even Tuel played better than Manuel did yesterday. The only thing he did well was to get out of bounds or slide on his runs. But to say now that the Bills should take another QB with their first round pick when there are so many needs on the team? If Manuel sucks the rest of the season and shows no signs of getting better, I suppose that's a consideration. But to say it now seems very premature to me. -
So, are we going to see a new "run the table?" thread each week now?

My concern with SJ13 is that he seems to have chronic groin and hamstring issues.

Marrone was asked that in the presser too and apparently it was never a consideration. -

I prefer tangibles, but that's just me. -
I absolutely LOVE Doug Marrone
CodeMonkey replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was asked about that in the presser linked above. He basically said he didn't believe the offense could get the 1st and thought the defense had a better chance to get the ball back quick. The way the offense was playing I can't say I disagree with his assessment of them, but down by 14 you would think the Bills were in 4 down territory. I was half expecting a fake punt so I was watching the Stillers D and they were ready for that.leaving 3 I think LBs ready to make a play. Out played and out coached. So now onto Sexy Rexy and the Jets, who are now very much in the running for a wildcard spot. -
Enough with the clown pants already

Wow what a piece of **** PC. My personal favorite: "We are going to continue to build a winning mindset. And that's very difficult to do when you don't win" Christ. And I thought the game was embarrassing to watch. -
All Bills fans that traveled to witness that turd deserve something.
