  1. Not quite always true. Employers have the right to fire employees for just cause, meaning there was a good reason to fire you. But if you were fired without just cause, you have the right to advance notice, or severance pay if you don't get notice. If the employer doesn't give you notice or pay, it's called a wrongful dismissal. However NY is a fire at-will state so assuming this guy works in NY, then his employer is free to fire him for being a dumbass,
  2. That's what pretty much always happens. The lawyer is counting on the Bills not wanting any more bad press and willing to pay to keep it out of the press any more than it already is. It only goes to court if the entity being sued (The Bills here) doesn't offer enough compensation to satisfy the other party.
  3. A week is not enough time to make any significant contribution to the team. So I would probably see how much swag I could get my hands on and get autographed by Kiko, Mario, and EJ while I still had access to the locker room. Plus I'd try to use my new title to see how far I could get with some Jills.
  4. Ahhhh Potsdam, I remember it well. I went to Clarkson back in the day The Bills ARE the only true NY team.
  5. He was explaining how Lee Harvey Oswald could not possibly have been the lone shooter and how the NFL is involved in the coverup. (Everything else on TV this month is JFK related, why not that).
  6. Casinos have had facial recognition via camera at entrances working extremely well for years. They even deal with disguises. Pretty impressive stuff. The technology certainly exists if the Bills felt it was worthwhile to implement it.
  7. If you guys think putting up a 100% jump ball is a good pass then we can agree to disagree. It reminded me of every deep ball Losman threw. It went up and then straight down like a punt (and no, I am not saying Manuel throws deep like Losman, just that one pass ). I don't know if the DB was looking at a Jills butt or whatever during that play instead of where he should have been looking, but it was lucky for Manuel that he was.
  8. No no no no hell no. Manuel had a great day I thought hitting the slants and outs, largely due to the Jets DBs playing off so far (and Manuel and the WRs recognizing it). But that long ball was very horrifying. Manuel did not put the ball up for Graham to use his speed to run under it. He put up a jump ball into the wind that should never have been thrown, much less completed. Any competent DB is able to at least defend it or even intercept. Manuel deserves a lot of praise for his play yesterday, but not that particular one.
  9. Toronto is a great city to be sure. But drive the extra distance (WNY out of towners is even worse), the expensive tickets, and no tailgating to watch a Bills "home game" in front of a largely neutral small crowd would be depressing.
  10. Did anyone see any mention as to the blood alcohol content of the jumper? If he was hammered that opens up a whole other avenue of lawsuits against the Bills.
  11. I disagree. If a coach has to design specific plays simply to get a RB into space and cannot hand the ball off to him and have him find the space, then that person is not a NFL caliber RB. If Jackson can make positive yards with this line (he couldn't yesterday, but the Jets specifically were in "stop the run" mode) then any quality running back should, Spiller included.
  12. Unless you were at the game and were specifically watching Mario I'm not sure how you can state he took the game off. He may have been double teamed all day which created openings for others, like say maybe Hughes. I wasn't at the game and also did not key on watching Williams so I can't say one way or the other. But there are a great many more factors than tackles and sacks to consider. Did you mean Fred instead of EJ on your last statement? I didn't think EJ's stats should look bad but I didn't check. Fred and Spiller had bad days to be sure. Ryan figured his DBs could cover the Bills #3 and #4 WRs so he shut down the run. Fortunately for the Bills, his DBs could not deliver. But the poor running stats are a direct reflection of the defensive gameplan Ryan had in place.
  13. Yes sir ... evolution / survival of the fittest!
  14. Perhaps, but I have little tolerance for these things when other people get hurt. And I am a big believer in survival of the fittest.
  15. I think this week it was the Jets turn to play like screw ups along with the Bills playing much better. Geno was every bit as bad as Manuel was the week before, maybe even worse. And for the life of me I can't figure out why the Jets DBs were playing so far off the Bills WRs with the top 2 WRs out of the game. I saw some of Sexy Rexy's presser after and he basically said was if his DBs can't cover backup WRs any better than what they showed today he might have to use a cover-2 for the rest of the season. He cited the "jump ball" (Ryans words) touchdown that Manuel put up early in the game with particular disgust when talking about his DBs that game. He also was asked about Dave and Busters and basically said no comment I must admit to a little perverse joy watching Rexy squirm a little
  16. It's a shame the faller didn't land on the concrete in the 100 level on his head and die. Now he will have the chance to procreate and pass on his stupidity gene for generations to come.
  17. You get what you pay for?
  18. Six games and you have closed the book on Manuel huh. Damn you are good when so many people who evaluate players for a living say it is too early for them to tell.
  19. That just means Vegas looked at how the money was being bet and felt they needed to entice people a little to bet on the Bills.
  20. i was channel surfing last night and ended up on a Jets homer show on MSG I think and they were talking about Sundays game. Of course all the Jets homers pick the Jets to win "easily" (struck me as funny because they sounded like a lot of posters here last week before the Stillers game ). Their reasoning being all the Bills can do is run, and the only reason they ran successfully in the first game was due to missed tackles by Jets defenders (and showed examples). So assuming the Jets tackle correctly this time, easy Jets win. Then the place I had lunch today had ESPN on and they were talking about the game as well. They also picked the Jets unanimously. Their reasoning was it is going to be a defense dominated game on both sides and be low scoring. EJ Manuel can't pass well to begin with, and add to that the fact that Woods and SJ13 were out means the Bills would have to run. Ryan knowing this stops the run and the Bills struggle to score. The Jets manage to score a little and win the game. The Jets homers were funny and it is easy to discount them. But what the ESPN guys said seemed accurate to me. I guess we will need some good breaks and a pic-6 or two from the D.
  21. Ahhhh grasshopper, you are now truly a Buffalo Bills fan
  22. Interesting. This is game 11 of a 16 game season. I wonder when he plans on using these "better ways".
  23. I do, every week. You learn to deal with it.
  24. So Spiller has shown no capability to be consistent when being handed the ball, can't pass protect to save his life, and Marrone does not want to use him in the passing game. Awesome. I still believe he would be better as a slot receiver, but Marrone should know more than me so lets hope he is right.
  25. Mr. Wilson guaranteed a sellout and very cheap tickets are on sale in the area and even the Rochester area (2 for $25, can't beat that).
