    This seems a bit overwrought. The posts in reference, if they're what I've seen, have quite a bit more nuance to them than what's paraphrased. In other words, I doubt anyone thinks that Stevenson has the starting returner job locked up. It would be a big surprise to see him out there as returner against the Steelers.

    I get it, and in some ways, tempered like you. Preseason has seen a number of one sided beatdowns, and ours came against two bad teams. I'm so curious to see how we look in the regular season - obviously we are justifiably thinking about ourselves as contenders, but in terms of individual player development.

    That would not result in a suspension in the regular season. You can see Smith bending his head away from Fields' helmet, yet it's not enough and he makes helmet to facemask contact. According to modern rules he was appropriately flagged for it, but that would not get a suspension. Also, I don't know if I've seen a helmet that loose since...who was it? McNabb?

    I'm not advocating for it, and wouldn't have guessed it before the off-season, but I don't think he's a "lock." I still think he'll make the 53, but I'm less certain than a month ago.

    I don't think he has those, with or without the environment. That said he looks good in early action and there's no reason to believe he doesn't have a high ceiling.

    Butler only makes it if Phillips is IR'd, imo. (To be fair you point out such a scenario).

    Just praying Brown and Phillips have mild injuries. From what I saw of Brown on the sidelines and the initial designation of Phillips as "questionable" to return, I'm holding out hope.

    I'm in favor of trading Addison. I don't think we lose much if any production, and we get to hang on to future potential, as well.

    Sounds like we had a couple offensive tackles and a DT tweak their knees.

    I had also heard Brown was injured, and I thought it was a knee but I'm not positive.

    Boogie almost looks like he'd make a more immediate impact at 3 tech DT. Knee injury I believe.

    Phillips was originally listed as questionable to return after his knee injury, and was eventually declared out. Hopefully the initial designation means his injury is not long-term. Fingers crossed
