  1. Just for the hell of it, I completely concur with the below statement: Gailey has endured .... I was unhappy when Gailey was announced as head coach, but he has won me over. I think he is the right coach to turn the Bills around. Call me crazy, but I think there are more than a few fans who feel the way I do. Also, last year's draft was not awful, even if Spiller didn't produce (hopefully he turns it around this year). Am I just a homer, incapable of recognizing "bad moves" by our beloved organization? No. In fact, I am often quite pessimistic about the Bills, but Chan Gailey and his tenure so far have me believing that our team could be on the right track.
  2. Not at all the case. I lived in Denver for years (up until last year), and I can tell you the views its citizens hold are not inline with your thinking. Also, Tebow is idolized in colorado, those fans ADORE him. Wow, hard to believe we watched the same games haha. Well, what are ya gonna do, to each their own, we saw very different things out on the field. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if he succeeds, but I also wouldn't be surprised if he's just mediocre for a couple years then falls into a backup role somewhere.
  3. Having watched the games, I wasn't impressed with his QB play. No, I'm not hating, but I just wasn't convinced he'll make it. It is certainly possible that he could, but the jury is still out. -With regards to Ponder, I hope he lasts into the 2nd, I think he could be a very special quarterback (I guess my hope of stealing him in the 3rd is delusional)
  4. Yeah I have to think Ponder is their guy, and I'm ok with that. I've watched him for a few years and really like his style and tenacity. I'd like to take him in the third, but doubt he falls that far, and I bet we take him with #34.
  5. I just don't get all the excitement about Kaepernick. I watched most of UNR's games this year, and I didn't see an NFL qb. I guess only time will tell.
  6. As much as i think Ponder will be better than Gabbert, I have to agree with a few posters on here that 34 is a bit high for him. I think that several qbs will fall into the third. What I'd really like to see is a defensive draft (although i'd like an OT, perhaps at 34) until the 5th when we take ricky stanzi. USA #1.
  7. If we take a quarterback this year, I want it to be ponder in the 2nd. (I'd love it to be in the third, but not sure he falls that far).
  8. Man what an odd year for QBs. I'm also not sold on the 'top' prospects (especially Gabbert...hype job). Ponder and Stanzi have just as much potential with a lower risk imo. We all have our opinions.
  9. I'm a fan of Stanzi. I wouldn't mind taking him as long as it s at a reasonable pick
  10. jw- I never called you condescending or boorish, and was under the assumption that all of my posts were civil. I thought we were having "reasonable discourse." I understand that you are responding to many posters who disagree or take umbrage with your initial post, so I assume that some of those remarks were not directed at me. My "teasing" comment wasn't a personal attack, I was just surprised at your choice of words ("style over substance"), after you acknowledged the 'not mutually exclusive' point/statements. I hope you didn't take it as such. I don't view this as a win/lose game, I just enjoy talking about the Bills. I hope no one actually insinuated that you needed to apologize for anything? EDIT: It just boils down to our disagreement over this, obviously . Agree to disagree. I'm excited to have (hopefully) better looking/more classic Bills jerseys than the current ones. You're not excited, and that's fine. Go Bills.
  11. Though I, along with many of the posters, have pointed out that getting new uniforms and achieving substantive change on the football field are not mutually exclusive, you continue to make remarks like this. Yes, the uniform change is a stylistic change. It is not, however, style over substance. If that were the case, this uniform change would take the place of any attempts to get better during this offseason. Apparently you don't like the uniform change, fair enough. I know that as a writer, especially one that goes on public record, you're going to make your argument and have every right to back it up. That's a good thing, and adds to what makes this forum great. At this point, however, you're just teasing us. You know that a changed uniform has no impact on what the Bills will do to get better. It will neither help them nor hurt them in any significant manner. I'm happy the Bills are changing uniform designs. I want the Bills to improve on the field even more. Hope you stick around, I have enjoyed many of your posts in the past.
  12. +1! Oh god, I can recall everything from that fateful day
  13. +1 Thanks for compiling these, the first one is great. The rest are a bit too...i dunno
  14. For those who missed the above link: The "later Simpson-era" design: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5258/5430804953_ff52f915ca_o.png I'm trying to imagine a navy trim, but I just can't imagine in on the home jerseys. Maybe it's only on the white pants/away jersey. Food for thought.
  15. Unfortunately, I'm thinking this way as well. I wish they'd just give us something simple like the OP's design. Can't wait until they're unveiled
  16. Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part to imagine them being released prior to the draft. As we have the 3rd pick though, I was under the impression that we might want to give our top pick (if he is invited to the draft) a new uniform.
  17. I would have to imagine it should be before the draft. Per Fred Jackson the date has been set but he doesn't know if he is authorized to release it.
  18. I don't care what they're wearing if they win the Super Bowl. Given the choice, I'd prefer a classic Bills uniform in this hypothetical scenario in which where the Bills win the Super Bowl. Not given this choice, I'd still die a happy man as the Bills, in electric pink duds, will have won the Super Bowl. I fail to see how being excited that our beloved Bills are changing uniforms from the current ones that are disliked almost unanimously is not understandable.
  19. It certainly does, and I don't think anyone is disagreeing with that. Again, as on the field production and new uniforms aren't mutually exclusive, why isn't changing to a new (hopefully more classic) uniform reason for excitement?
  20. I think it goes without saying that any Bills fan would undoubtedly prefer a better Bills football team than a new uniform. However, as they're not mutually exclusive, changing from our current/awful uniforms is reason to be excited/interested in my book.
  21. Fred Jackson: "I can honestly say this. In the 5 yrs I've been in Buff, there hasn't been a guy (including myself) that liked the current Uni's!!" Also, I never wear jerseys, so I don't have a dog in that fight. I just want the Bills to look like they once did (uniforms, and more importantly, on-field production)
