  1. EJ impressions: First few drives: internal clock a bit too sped up. Made the right reads (except for one play that still should have been a completion), but the throws were more sped up (and hence, slightly off target) than they should have been. Next drive: Pocket presence much better. You better believe someone just told him to calm down a bit. He listened. 2-min drill: Not much needs to be said. He was great. Takeaway: I want him to start. He has a very quick release (sometimes, too quick). Hopefully it will mask our LG spot.
  2. Some very nice plays. Woods over the middle and the TD throw were great.
  3. Is that sarcastic? I think our inside run defense has been pretty poor.
  4. Buffalo is awesome. While I was born here (currently on my annual pilgrimage to Buffalo), I grew up in a surf town on the California coast and live in the Bay Area now. Places people often think of as 'hip' or 'cool' towns. Every time I come back to Buffalo I'm struck by how fantastic it is. Beauty, history, activities - I have a phenomenal time (as does my girlfriend from out West) whenever I'm back. I think it just has an undeserved reputation by those who haven't spent time here.
  5. We know that EJ thought Woods was going to come inside when he turned out.
  6. always look forward to these notes
  7. Perhaps. Though Marquise has impressed the hell out of me. As for the OLine, I'm tremendously worried about it, and am convinced it will be our weakest unit all year. I'm concerned it will damage EJ's development.

  9. OLine is far and away the most concerning group for me. I'm fully in support of finding a way to bring in a vet.
  10. I though Marrone was direct and professional. I wouldn't have asked the "so is he excused?" question if I were JW, but I'm not, so I suppose that's unfair. Tim Graham's article is ridiculous, though not entirely unexpected.
  11. Glad to hear EJ is targeting Stevie. Don't think I've heard/seen much of that.
  12. Notes: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-2/Practice-Notes---July-29th/0a167900-4858-4dec-8d2a-1ce4dfce675c
  13. I assume that's correct, but at the same time any coach would want to downplay large differences in performance this early in the competition.
  14. Just doing my best to f__cking adapt.
  15. Many tweets saying the same thing. Buffalo Bills ‏@buffalobills1m Marrone: Mario Williams to be evaluated off-campus by doctors for sore foot reported to team staff yesterday.
  16. I typed this, then deleted it for fear of jinxing it. On another note, I wonder how Stahovich is doing.
  17. Mario not in attendance today (Monday) per Chris Brown. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/07/29/mario-williams-not-in-attendance/
  18. So whose tweets should we look toward for live coverage? EDIT: I guess there's this official blog too: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-2/Training-Camp-Live-Blog-729/6c926557-fc14-4647-9300-155fddacfd1e
  19. Phenomenal scene. Mine is the ridiculous mascot at Stanford. I'm certain it's the best in college sports. It's awesome when we play someone like USC, who has a very organized and precise band/mascot, then we send out our dancing tree and 40 or 50 stoned and drunk "musicians". Fear the Tree...
  20. Essentially. I find him unbearable to listen to, and my opinion of him as a host has nothing to do with his coverage of the Bills (because I never make it far enough in to hear him talk about them).
  21. I can't speak for others, but I wouldn't care if he picked us to go 16-0 last year. It doesn't change how horrible his shows are.
  22. Good for Naaman. Hope he makes the squad.
  23. I admit I'm trying to play a bit of devil's advocate here, but quite honestly, people are looking at his potential earning power as a reason for him not to do the same things as a normal 20 year old. I fully recognize that this is a completely rational and logical stance to hold. It's essentially telling a young man who is wildly popular that he cannot use his social status for the activities he apparently enjoys - the same activities that most young men his age enjoy - because it might hurt his professional career. It's excellent career advice, but I think we're seeing people react to the question of whether or not it's fair, or a reasonable demand to put on someone his age. For now, I'm not convinced his behavior is indicative of a systemic problem. Put another way, I imagine his on-field performance will be the only thing determining the trajectory of his professional career. I've been wrong before, though. Call me crazy but I'm surprised there haven't been more issues with the constant microscope on him and the availability of unfiltered media like twitter. There does exist a tradeoff between enjoying one's life and behaving in a manner that will yield maximum earnings, despite life circumstance. (Respectfully, I would also hesitate to make assumptions about the circumstances of posters during their time in college. Some surprising experiences have been had by many on tbd.) I'm not entirely sure if I have an end point. I guess I'm just desperate for Bills news and this is one of the only threads going EDIT: although, sadly, this is not even Bills news.
