  1. I know it doesn't seem likely, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Browns or Cardinals took him. To be honest, though, I'm just shooting from the hip.
  2. If we get Glennon, and Barkley is taken just a few spots before, I am going to very angry. I really want to be excited with who we pick, right away. Please Bills, don't make me do the convince-myself-XXXX-is-a-good-prospect song and dance. I agree. I actually think there is a real shot he gets taken before pick #8.
  3. I'm not arguing for or against Nassib, but are people watching the USC film beyond the first few plays? I understand it's not a highlight reel, but it's not bad for a so-called "bad" performance. He was jittery on the first few pass attempts with the interception being the one "horrible" play. Playing the #2 team in the second week of the season? I thought he settled down and through the ball decently after the first couple series....
  4. I think the cold weather factor is a non-issue. I'm not saying there aren't issues with taking Barkley, but as for him not being able to "handle" the cold...c'mon.
  5. Teams really need to stop messing with weird looking sleeves.
  6. At least it avoids the "fan speak" the majority of us will likely go through on Thursday, step by step, in a series of posts: 1) Not sure how I feel about this pick/Ugh, not who I wanted/Nooooo! 2) Well, maybe with Marrone's new system his skill set makes sense. 3) I think this might work out. 4) I love this pick! Superbowl!!!
  7. Yep. I've been saying this too. In fact, I want us to take a QB with a high pick every year until one of them impresses. Hopefully it pans out this year. Call me crazy.

  9. +1 In addition to how unwatchable he is, I'm not impressed with the actual analysis/reasoning. It seems like this QB camp thing gets more popular every year though (I can understand this part, especially if your team is in the hunt for a QB), so I only see his exposure increasing.
  10. Watched the luncheon. My takeaway: Nix actually wants to do it - he actually wants to trade down. Also, I think Barkley is who we're targeting. I know these are fairly obvious takeaways for those who have watched it, but hey, if I can't read Bills' news I'll write my own until draft day. EDIT: Their praise of Barkley was designed to look like a smokescreen...when in fact they actually do like him. It's like a smokescreen within a smokescreen. Inception.
  11. I think he's definitely on the board. I really believe he will be a good pro, and I would love to draft him.
  12. I know this is not the intent of your post, and the point still holds, but I'm so sick of the "surfer dude" connection to any CA quarterback. My family moved from Buffalo when I was young and I grew up surfing in a central coast CA surf town, and still surf every week. Barkley doesn't know how to surf. He's not a "surfer dude". I'm well aware that this mini-rant is frivolous...I'm just trying to make it to draft day.
  13. From what the Bills have put out themselves, I'm thinking it's Manuel/Nassib/Barkley for the 2nd round pick - whoever is left. Of course, there is plenty of time for them to start hyping the player they target in the last few days before the draft. Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, but they always seem to give clues, inadvertently or not, right before draft day.
  14. Sounds like ESPN is embracing EJ as a high pick/one of the first QBs taken. Current front page is Geno, EJ, and Barkley with the tag line - "Geno Smith is the best QB prospect in the draft. Where does that leave EJ Manuel and Matt Barkley?"
  15. Is anyone against grabbing Lemon in a later round?
  16. He was right about 2011 statistically (wrong about 2010, of course). Maybe I'll catch some flak, but I thought Nelson was our second most talented receiver (not exactly a ringing endorsement considering our WR corps but still). I'm surprised we didn't keep him. I hope that Doug made this call and not Buddy.
