I hear you about this odd feeling that what they have put out on the field is not the final product. Then again, I am honestly tired of setting myself up with expectations at the beginning of every goddamn season.

i doubt we even score a TD.. special teams currently suck as bad as the offense. drive starts after kick returns are simply horrific. return coverages are the worst i've seen in at least a decade. about the only thing that kept us consistently mediocre was the excellent special teams unit - without that we're just the Detroit Lions.

yep.. and this is nothing new either, it's been an ongoing issue for the last few seasons. much as the thought of having DJ here for another three seasons makes me wanna throw up, the fact that Fewell is still here is also deeply disturbing. one would like to assume that DJ knows about his personal incompetence, and would at least try to surround himself with some quality assistant coaches who really know what they're doing. then again, if you were an up-and-coming assistant coach, why would you want to throw in your lot with a head coach who is widely known for indecision, being a blunderbuss, random incompetence and general uselessness??

you're absolutely right, it is ridiculous of us as a fanbase to expect change when we do absolutely nothing different

I highly doubt that us signing TO with our dysfunctional coaching and revolving-door-offensive-line would cause Bellicheat to get the shakes enough that he would go out and sign up Springs just to cover TO. It would be nice if they actually feared us that much, but truth be told, they don't. It's actually pretty easy being a Bills fan in Boston nowadays - no one even bothers to make fun of me on Monday mornings any more, they just nod sympathetically at me and say "At least it was close, kinda, for the first part of the first quarter"

i'm with the overwhelming majority here.. if he was that desperate to play he'd be here now practicing with the team. i was for the pick during the draft, but the longer he holds out, the less useful he is to the team. as we saw during the HOF game, we had no pass rush whatsoever.. this is going to be a long, long season for the defense
