  1. just because he picked the Patriettes* to win doesn't make him a ball-washer of the caliber of the rest of the analysts who were lining up to throw themselves at the feet of Brady-Moss-2010.. i had to mute the tv before the game because it was getting that sickening! in fact, Berman went out of his way to say that he'd pick the Bills but with the offseason we'd had, it was hard for him to see any way we could pull it off, as did most of the Bills fans, whether they admitted it or not.
  2. i'm not a football analyst, but after the game i got the feeling that AVP knows what he's doing. this is no more the "Let's try this and hope & pray it works" that we've gotten used to thanks to our last few OCs.. i think AVP only gets better with a few more games under his belt, and that should his in-game adjustments, as well as the second half readjustments once the opposing defenses have made their adjustments in all honesty, when we were moving the ball freely in the first three quarters, it was the first time in many many years i've seen us playing intelligent, flowing offensive football!!
  3. as a whole, in the first half the pass rush looked pretty good - even though they just got one sack, they had multiple pressures and knockdowns of Brady which threw their gameplan off
  4. April, the best ST coach ever, whose units have consistently been abysmal throughout the offseason, and the first game of the season. how about someone suggesting vandalizing his house?? while we're at it, let's vandalize the houses of every player who made a mistake during the MNF game, since they all added up in the end. in fact, next time any one of use makes a mistake at work, no matter how much we make, we deserve to have our houses vandalized. right? maybe twenty years ago people were more forgiving, i.e. when Norwood came back home, but twenty years on it appears people have gotten more stupid and immature.
  5. i can't claim to be a football analyst, but to the untrained eye it looked like Ellison had a pretty good first half, especially on run coverage, he was getting to the line of scrimmage and getting some solid hits in.
  6. the O-line made some mistakes, but i didn't see anything that cannot be corrected by watching tape and giving the line some more time to work together and settle in for the long haul. glad to see Levitre corrected his preseason mechanics and wasn't getting bowled over or pushed back that easily. Wood is going to be an All-Pro very soon, he is a beast! Bell will turn into our next Peters, no doubts there - he has the skills and tools to get there, just some more games under his belt and we'll be fine. Butler was good in his anonymity - once again, can only get better. Hangartner is a big upgrade on Preston, Fowler and most of the other clowns we have had at the position. i LOVED the streak of nastiness that has been brought in, hopefully that mentality will get through to the whole team and help us finish off games. as much as this was a cruel way to lose, there is much more to be positive about than be pessimistic about.
  7. i was ready to be pessimistic yesterday as well.. however, the only defenses we will meet in the first half that are of the level of the Pats* are probably Jets & maybe the Fins.. i think once the rookies on the O-line get their acts together and start gelling the offense does better. Poz will be missed, are we looking for a veteran backup? is it ironic Pisa (remember him?) went off during the Bears game too??
  8. yes yes YES!!! &*@^!#^&$ ^%$&!#$@) _()(*@ @^&$ R#@)(@U# &*@%%
  9. April's next stop will be as a head coach. There is no way he signs here or elsewhere as ST co-ordinator & assistant coach again.
  10. True or False? - Ol' Ralphie would never get a strong, independent coach as he is unwilling to relinquish control - Ol' Ralphie would never pay top dollar for a coach - Ol' Ralphie would never consider getting Schotty, Shanahan or another football savvy ex-coach to be GM
  11. the special teams has been anything but good. the new wedge rules have effectively killed our special teams advantage, and with that you can subtract another 1-2 wins
  12. i said O-Line, as in, rush their QB you might be on to something, throw Freddie on to rush Brady - what's the worst that could happen??
  13. no Seymour, no Harrison, no Vrabel, no Bruschi, no Seau it's almost like it got too easy, until you remember that Bellicheat is still there we never even get past their O-line they still have enough monsters in the D (Wilfork, Mayo, Thomas)
  14. no no no. and again, no no no QB in the first round, please!! address the lines, OL, DL, whichever.. just get some talent and bada$$itude in the lines Trent might still amount to a good QB if he gets some of the time in the pocket that the top-notch QBs do
  15. exactly - because almost no team except the Bills has the same record as the previous year! we did it three straight years to boot! wait, i think the Colts also had straight 12+ win seasons for some crazy number of years
  16. some math now - 30% of 16 games/season = approx 5 games. Bills under DJ [this season] = 0-4 win team Bills under Bellicheat [this season] = (0-4 wins) + (30% of 16 games) = 5-9 wins Bills under DJ [last three years] = 7 wins each year i.e even Bellicheat would have a hard time getting this team to 10 wins if we are truly a 0-4 win team
  17. last year, even without son-of-the-devil (Brady) and a featured running back, some backup QB who had never started a game since high school and a RB named after a law firm still humiliated what is essentially still the same defense. it's really hard to have any sense of optimism whatsoever.
  18. wow, i missed all the fun on this thread! SDS - i really admire the classy way you handled this obnoxious poster.
  19. we really couldn't bring down the bar of expectations any lower than that now, could we?
  20. good call Chris in 'Cuse.. how do you feel about Paulus?
  21. that's probably why McIntyre got as many carries as he did in the preseason.. i thought he looked more effective than Omon
  22. shootout?? lose close?? wow, that's reaaaaal optimism if i've ever seen it. it's AVP who's the new OC, not Shanahan!! besides, the personnel has not changed, and neither will the final product from what we saw in the preseason.
