They absolutely did tank the season on purpose there can be no doubt. They saw the franchise QB in the next draft and went for the replacement of Peyton. Worked, too, last year they were what, 12-4? However, the next Bruce Smith does not equal the next franchise qb locked and loaded. While our line is certainly unsettled, I have great hope that Marrone will be able to put a decent unit together, seeing as OL is his forte. I find Leodis on the outside far more scary. He has been a non-entity on this team for many years, what has changed that makes him a credible starter? Marrone will sort out the OL. Hopefully.

when the trade was made I expected both players to be on the scrapheap early september. If one of them stuck would have been a mild surprise. so this is nice... although they may still be gone soon. I liked Kelvin also, when he did get a hit he seemed to hit hard.

Everyone gives such credit to Mr.Parker for holding firm on these deals. Not me. His inflated sense of himself really is putting a lot of money on the line for Byrd. There is at least a 30% chance any player will be injured in any given year I would think, if it happens next year, Byrd just gave up a ton of money, in order to prove what point exactly? or gain how much, an extra couple of million? In the casino, you would not take such odds. Not with 20 million at stake, and he could have gotten that as a signing bonus this off-season, me-thinks. So far it has all come up roses for Parker, I hope Byrd is not the wild card that lost 20m in order to get 6.9m and save face for his agent.

Potter has been in big games often in college he is not a complete neophyte. If he is a sure roster spot anyway, I say we take a flyer that he can hit FGs and drop Lindell. Use the roster spot elsewhere.

Fitz has everything it takes to be a top NFL QB.... except the arm strength. Which is something that cannot be taught. We are doomed to 9 or so wins best case, if Fitz remains the starter, for however many seasons he is the starter. Bes case he gets us off to a running start, 5-2 or so, then VY comes in for the balance of the season.

9-7 I am thinking Fitz is just not enough of a frachise qb. You really DO need a strong arm in the NFL. If Fitz can get us to 5-2 or so then get injured and VY comes in, maybe 10-6.

If I had the time and tech ability, I would make you a youtube clip of all the times Kelsay was run behind the qb, missed a tackle, or was otherwise ineffective, from just ONE GAME. Pick any game in his career, practicaly, you can make a similar clip comilation. Playing with Kelsay is like having 10 hguys on the field, he is horrible, you are all apologists for his poor play. BNecause he is a good guy? A white guy? Who knows why, but, in the end,the guy is just not an nfl calibre player and if he were on ANY other team, his career would have been over in about 2007. I was just looking at the traning camp schedule and there really are only about 37 total hours or so of training camp with the current CBA. Seems like it will be tougher than ever for a UDFA or off season signee to make enough impact to make the team. werent there about 50 total hours of traning camp even just 10 years ago or so?

Life is pretty good and cosmoploltan here in Thailand, much more so than in Buffalo. The dogs here are under threat from importers to Vietnam who kidnap street dogs; Buddhists do not eat dog. They eat grasshoppers here though, taste like crispy shrimp. Overall, there is plenty more here than in Buffalo and the quality of life is much higher than anywhere in the USA. Sorry for that news. Please do not come to visit though, go up to the falls instead, it is nice there LOL.

There is a Buffalo Style pizza place in Pattaya Thailand also! Says right on the box, Western New Yorks finest pizza" and it is true Buffalo style, there is no mistaking it. Although, the pepperoni is a bit different, the restis the same and it is proudly Buffalo styla.

Frankly I would be unsurprised if Easley did not make the team actually. He is almost 3 years now from his last game, and who knows if he even makes it healthy thru camp. If he was cut maybe naaman can stick?
