  1. what’s good for the country is bad for the Democrats (and many Republicans). It’s as simple as that. this is actually kind of funny. I feel dirty now.
  2. What’s the media’s thought process here? That there’s enough people that only watch their stories of what happened so they can say whatever they want?
  3. Thought this article was hilarious. Can you be any more NPC than this article? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2018/10/16/us/politics/npc-twitter-ban.amp.html
  4. Disengaged for a while yesterday, going to catch up in a bit. Question: Is Hillary President now?
  5. Just went back at re-read the transcript to make sure I wasn’t missing anything and to try and take another fair look at this. essentially, this all boils down to whether or not it’s proper for the president to pursue answers to serious potential corruption and crime related to presidential elections and former sitting VPs abusing power. There is no Quid in there at all. None. if you believe it was improper for the president to ask the Ukraine to help with these investigations, then who would do it? Would it be improper if it was related to Dick Cheney? Does being an active politician in the opposing party give you blanket immunity and Carte Blanche to do whatever you want? also, if the President was attempting to “extort” the Ukraine for dirt on his political opponents, would he conduct that effort in plain view of the world? the Dems story just makes no logical sense.
  6. Did Adam Schiff really say he didn’t know the identity of the “whistleblower”?!? hes already admitted to speaking with him!! WTF! Did he speak with him in one of those Catholic screen confessionals?
  7. Prediction: all you’ll see today is testimony that leads to the conclusion that certain career bureaucrats had no knowledge of any wrongdoing, but really don’t like the president and don’t believe that this president can implement his foreign policy. We will see how offended these hacks were at having to following the direction of their boss and rather than quit, they set up this charade.
  8. Dems: “We need to get to the bottom of foreign interference in the 2016 election and make sure it doesn’t happen again” Trump: “ok, let’s see if we can get the server that was ‘hacked’ and started this whole mania” Dems: “Impeach!!” Dems: “we speak truth to power, we resist, and will stop at nothing to ensure that we root out corruption at the highest levels of government to protect our democracy” Zelensky: “we work together with the US and look into the situation where the sitting Vice President forced the firing of our top prosecutor because he was investigating Burisma, the company that hired Hunter Biden with no experience or qualifications in energy or the Ukraine to a board seat making around a million dollars a year to do nothing” Dems: “Impeach!!!”
  9. Bump. Can we please use this thread instead of the two Tibs ones that will be deleted once this sham process is over.
  10. this is what saw time after time. Single high safety, tight bump off the LOS. That just screams go deep, which we couldn’t hit.
  11. ha. the mueller report showed no collusion. I thought that was the point, right? the ukraine transcript showed nothing of the sort. I’d be happy to read the extended scene version if you want to post it, and if it exists.
  12. Is the Mueller report propaganda? Is the Ukraine call transcript propaganda?
  13. FWIW I was being sarcastic. I know that ship sailed. yes, it’s frustrating.
  14. I’m not as dismissive of the “culture” point as some others, particularly the Mike Schopp’s of the world. However, I agree that they might be taking it too far. The beauty of the Patriots there is that culture means doing what your job is, be accountable, and work hard. They have enough vets and credibility to enforce it. With the bills, at this point you should have enough vets and credibility with the team to take on a chance guy like Gordon. Especially because if it doesn’t work you, you cut him and move on with no repercussions.
  15. Are there any impact WRs on waivers? Or anyone that can improve the offense. That’s all that matters at this point.
  16. I disagree. It’s a team sport. One side of the ball (defense) has kept this team in every game, including most of the Eagles game. The offense has consistently let the team down. This isn’t even debatable IMO.
  17. defense held the browns to 19 points and scored 2 on their own. In today’s NFL you can’t expect more than that, especially against a talented team like the Browns. this game is ? % on the offense. Mostly Allen, some Daboll.
  18. Really don’t think so. I said it in another thread, I think they plateaued.
  19. Letter of the Law - forward pass (which is the only reason we see that play in the first place) Spirit of the Law - fumble - but it doesn’t matter because by the rule it’s a pass. Stupid but true.
  20. I totally agree. He did do some nice things. But it feels as if he’s plateaued. I don’t know, maybe I’m expecting too much at this point.
  21. ? he didn’t play well by most standards. 260 yards on 41 pass attempts, zero TDs, 14 total points on offense. That’s not good.
  22. I really really like Allen too. And I hope it clicks very soon. I had a ton of hope at the beginning of the year and have liked some of the improvement I’ve seen in parts of his game. Overall though I’m losing hope and patience. At this point I’d hoped to see more than just brief flashes.
