At this point I’d rather just see what we have in Allen. 40 throws isn’t to much for Jones, for Darnold, for Mayfield, for Murray. We need Allen to be able to shoulder a game, with his arm. At this point, I don’t think he can do it.
SMH
down twice in the fourth quarter and coming away with 7 total points (and being lucky to get that because they recovered another one of his fumbles) is not good. It’s not even approaching good. It’s loser, defeatist mentality.
Fair enough.
I’m not saying he was Peterman bad. But at some point we have to start seeing more from Josh and he’s yet to show it. It’s getting to the point where it’s very concerning that perhaps he just doesn’t have it in him. All over the league we are seeing very young QB have great performances, yet Josh has yet to light it up. It’s not like he doesn’t have opportunities. The Bills are throwing a lot, they are giving Allen chances to hit deep throws. The defense has kept them in games.
respectfully, you’re just wrong.
he made a few nice throws for sure, but that doesn’t mean he had a good game. Allen was by in large bad today. Poor decisions, missing reads, terrible deep balls, is bad.
one pass!? Did you watch the same game?
hes a problem. That’s what people are saying. Not that he’s the ONLY problem, but when your QB is a problem it is the biggest problem.
he can’t hit a deep throw and he’s slow making decisions, and making bad reads. He’d have to be perfect with the rest of his game to overcome that, and obviously he’s not.
I still have hope, but it’s starting to fade a bit.
right?
its not that I don’t like Allen. I do. He’s got a ton of talent. He can make plays here and there and I like his running ability.
ive just never felt like he was in control, could take over a game with his arm, or just dominate through the air. Nothing ever feels easy with him.
When we see young QBs like Jackson, Darnold, Mayfield, Jones, and Murray at least show they are capable of big games in the air....and we have yet to see Allen have a single game like that in his career, it’s concerning.
This game is on Allen. Not entirely of course, but by in large. At what point to do we start asking more of our QB than to not lose. That’s what’s frustrating.
IMO this game was entirely on Allen. He’s been given numerous chances to hit the deep throw and he hasn’t hit a single one yet. Just hit one and the bills win the game.
Blaming play calling is ignorant.
these players need to make plays. It starts with Allen and the Oline.
the NFL isn’t techmo bowl when picking the wrong play is a jailbreak.
