  1. Great, yes. That's exactly what we are saying. He's great. It's amazing that this great QB is unemployed. Did I mention how great he is. No doubt. Sure thing
  2. My guess too. It has to be because otherwise it makes no sense. The people that bash his play are senile. He has a bad 2013 - partly because Shiano created a toxic culture and just ruined that team and partly because he had to learn a new offense in a week with the Vikings. Prior to that he was ascending at a pretty good pace. He's young, has great physical tools, and has had success (threw for over 4k yards and 27 TDs one year, '12 I think).
  3. The question isn't whether Palmer is better than Thad it Tuel, it's is he worse. Since it's impossible to be worse than either or those guys, there's a decent chance he's an improvement. Hopefully EJ plays well enough and stays healthy enough to make it a moot point, but I'm glad the FO finally recognized how bad our backup situation was.
  4. Next year in the draft we should use every pick on a QB, and sign two QB free agents. That gives us about 8 QBs to go into training camp with. Then double it. I kid....sort of.
  5. Exactly. Pretty good article from 2006 on him. FWIW http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/football/draft/2007-03-22-jordan-palmer_N.htm
  6. 100% correct. I can't see a single positive quality that he possesses. Not one.
  7. We could sign anyone with a pulse and they couldn't be worse than Thad or Tuel. Those two are as bad as it gets. Maybe Palmer is just as bad, but def not worse and can maybe mentor EJ a bit!
  8. Hah! I have to believe something is seriously wrong with Josh Freeman from an off the field perspective. Otherwise he's about a thousand times better than all those guys on that list, almost all the backups in the NFL and maybe even a few starters. Again, no idea what's going on with his head, but from an on field production, age, and skill set standpoint the guy should be starting somewhere. Looks like Whaley wanted a 9, 10, J, Q, K straight.
  9. If I had to handicap our AFC East finish I'd say: 1st: 10% 2nd: 33% 3rd: 33% 4th: 24% So, while I don't think we will finish last, it's certainly possible. Honestly, this year is a total wild card. All depends on EJ.
  10. If I had to wager a guess of an NFL reporter with the initials MF and had a last name ending in a vowel that would be fired from Pro Football Talk, I'd go with Mike Florio.
  11. Any update on when Glenn might return? Definitely my biggest source of anxiety about the season.
  12. That would be great. While they are at it the Bills should ask for "suggested donations" instead of ticket prices. Vendors should simply have that little cardboard box closed together with a twist tie to pay for beer and food. Would definitely speed up the lines!
  13. For better or worse, it's EJ or bust this year. If he gets hurt, we go from having a glimmer of hope at reaching the playoffs to having a JV high school QB starting for us.
  14. Just to be clear, we are talking backups, correct? That being said, I really think Josh Freeman is the best risk/reward prop there is. I know something happened that caused him to fall off a cliff, but a lot of it had to be the situation in TB. The guy had elite NFL QB traits. He's 26. Maybe he's a little humbled and hungry now after the past year. Either way, he's - thousand time better than Tuel and Thad combined.
  15. Compared to anyone on the Bills it is. He also made a pro bowl and got his team to the playoffs. Please don't compare the career of Thad and Josh Freeman. It's like comparing Mike Tyson to Baby Joe Mesi.
  16. I think the unfortunate thing with Tebow is that even if he was a capable thrower, he's not good enough for a GM and coach to accept and endure the media circus that's going to follow him.
  17. Really? You're argument against Freeman is to use stats from a game in which he had less than two weeks to prepare as he started for a new team and that he got cut from a team with a two time Super Bowl winner as the starter who has never missed a game and a guy who the team drafted last year? Ok. Ha. Everything doesn't have to be so absolute in these discussions. I know it's not as fun to realize you don't know it all, but how about, "Well, it would be a risk and I'd be concerned that there's something going on in his head, but he does have elite nfl skills so maybe worth a shot. At least he wouldn't be Tuel or Thad, who have never shown anything that resembles NFL success."
  18. Um...in case you haven't watched any games over the last year or so, the answer to the backup QB isn't on the roster either. At least one of these QBs has actually succeeded in the NFL.
  19. I'd be curious how you know this. You might be right, just don't know what evidence there is to suggest it.
  20. I said this last night. Josh Freeman is a free agent. He is 26 and has elite NFL physical attributes. In 2012 he threw for 27 TDs and over 4000 yards. Something happened that caused him to fall off a cliff, no doubt. I did a little research on it last night and it sounds a lot like he got railroaded by Shiano (who we know is a full blown scumbag) who may have leaked that Freeman failed a drug test which was actually because Freeman changed his ADHD medication. In any case. I'd rather have Josh Freeman and at least a chance that he can compete in the NFL than two guys that should be playing flag football.

  22. It's pretty crazy. Kid is 26, has all the physical skills. Rocket arm. Huge. Was a pro bowl alternative one year. In 2012 he threw for over 4000 yards and 27 TDs. Yet he's not even on an nfl roster!
  23. There has to be something going on behind the scenes. Either he went off the deep end, just gave up, or something. There is no way guys like Tuel and Thad should have a job and Freemen does not.
  24. Is Josh Freeman still available?? Just checked, Josh Freeman is still a free agent. I know he fell off a cliff last year but man, at least he has physical skills for an NFL player. He had a pretty good year in '12 and would be at worst, better than the killer T's. Thad and Tuel.
