i don't get why we pitch count miller on turf when rosseau is out. glad others showed up on DL. but knowing this it would have been nice to have kept eli enoku instead of activating miller to the 53.

even with those starters our gameplan against a lesser team was pure poop. we did not do anything specific to their team to stop them and had a lousy performance in strategy and football without regard to players.
-
that'd be the nail in the coffin for poyer. his body can't take it anymore. he's rocky V when we need him to be rocky IV.
-
we need to hit the drawing board to find a way to involve Rapp a whole lot more, even if that means taking Poyer off the field.

how's your first day to day two? to me they are easier than the 3rd and 4th day. at least going east coming back west with less than an 8 hour shift is a pain in the ass.
-
when was the last time the media asked a team that? have you heard about gronk getting to practice facility at like 2 am to get IV's at 5 or 6 am to make practice sober? or countless other athletes just staying up and partying a lot?
-
i'm not. westie did.
-
oh i hear ya, but 5 hours ahead of time is nothing. you get there and maybe take a small nap then go ahead and stay up all day. these guys, a lot of them, by their social media presence stay up until after midnight many nights and sleep in until 10ish.

lol no. i'm not a professional athlete trained to be elite in body and mind. i'm just a business analyst. but, yes they were obviously jet lagged when EVERY SINGLE PLAYER SAID IT WAS NOT A FACTOR AND THEY WERE RESTED.
-
he was benched for a little bit. then put in situationally. he didn't look bad. he just didn't look good. a 3rd round draft pick out of a lesser tier program isn't going to contribute immediately. he has the opportunity on his plate and the hits and misses were key. the PBU he had was him still lost. he didn't look in control of where he was or knowing where to be - clearly playing on instincts with a game too fast for him. many here saw something in Milano that we knew he would pan out. i wish i could credit the others all-in on him besides myself.
-
jet lag wasn't an issue. not one player said it was a factor when asked. maybe lack of preparation, focus, and organization related to travel but even then, i doubt it based on players. i've made the trip to europe. going there it's not that bad. not the first two days. if anything it is the 3rd to 4th day you might be a little off. everyone saying it is a big factor in their experience, i have no idea what you're talking about... no one i work with does either and we are a european company. coming back is worse.
-
that's the only thing we can say about his effect yesterday. i agree with the decision to pull him on that turf, even though it was a pitch count situation. i disagree that he should have even been playing if it was going to be a pitch count knowing we were on that surface to begin with

i honestly do not know the state of rosters across the league. even not knowing, i would presume that no team has as many injuries like we do at this current state. i do know a team recently suffered a rash of injuries at one point - was that chicago? i know cinci has a bunch of injuries, the jets got it pretty bad, the giants maybe without daniel jones (maybe a good thing?). the dolphins were missing 3 starters against us and had 2 more go out against us. i don't disagree at all that injuries hurt. but our offense was not injured, and our defensive schemes and gameplan was *****.
-
sound statement, babe now please... defend McDermott. add thoughts to the post instead of mumbling. every team has injuries. across the league. people who follow this team and post on the message board tend to be hyperbolic but we are not the only team to suffer injuries.
-
all of this is compounded by our specifically schemed defense which is not an easy plug and play unit. it is niche and nuanced which needs specific type players.
-
the bills did not have a chance in the game. they were beaten in every way possible. if the bills did pull off that win yesterday it was not the bills winning as much as it was the jags losing. the jags did anything they wanted to us on defense, stopped us on defense when we could not do anything, and even special teams was beaten.

you forgot a bunch of time he SAYS people will be held accountable and nothing changes.

OP makes a short but reasonable statement given the loss. majority of the responses are trite retorts that lack little substance because it's hard to debate people with opinion. every year this place becomes like twitter more and more.
-
it was clear we wanted trent mcduffie. we lost that opportunity and we had no backup plan. that was horseshit. and i'm not even sure we should have got James Cook. sure, i like him on the roster now but that is a high end premium for a position that is losing value faster than any other positionn. sam laporta was worth not trading up for... the parity between he and the other two TE's was just fine. i'll take a big10 TE over most other conferences anyday in this offense. dorian williams - that was a head scratcher. when you're labeled not big enough at 6'1" 228 then you have to wonder why? he's not THAT small... but boy he plays tiny. wasted pick. in 2021 we chose basham over humphrey who has been rumored to be considering retirement? insanely stupid and we all knew it. draft humphrey - put him at guard until morse is done - probably this year or at least next. the love fest in the draft for duds like basham, elam, williams, and kincaid is LAUGHABLE.
-
we would like to think they'd have made a difference but we do not know for sure. what we do know is that we got embarrassed yesterday.
-
The effort given by our players was enough to run through a brick wall. I've measured a lot of our coaches by the highs and lows. We aren't an even keel team like more established teams are, even if they're younger. They're better coached teams than we are: 9ers, Chiefs, Eagles, Patriots, and Seahawks. Those teams have coaches and systems where they punch in and go to work. Sure, they have fun and play with passion but it's different with us and I'm just not the best to describe it. But my eyes know what I see and I don't see us contending for the Super Bowl.

TBDAHOT24. Show up...

I never said anything of the sort. I don't believe in our coaches. Anyone here can attest to this.

No, he's historically one of the better posters here. Not always right, but he is consistent and worthy of respect to listen to.

Williams was bench bro.. yeah, people are going to convince themselves he played well despite being yanked It was a dumb draft pick, something that we have a history of doing on middle round linebackers Hate to break it to you buddy, but even with those two this team wasn't making a deep playoff run
