  1. i like the idea of having an optional watch. i'd considered it last year when someone put it in themselves but i don't want to overdo the premise of this. either way, a lot of solid opinions.
  2. that's a horrible way to deceive them of revenue. By using ideas or sites like RemovePaywall.com you take the money out of the struggling journalists and people who are supposed to shape our minds and influence our opinions! If we do not give them money to do this, how would we ever know what to think? Again, a site like https://www.removepaywall.com/ is terrible!
  3. Good morning everyone. For those that consistently chime in you know the drill. For those new to this than it is easy to misunderstand. Think of this like a penny stock situation or just simple stocks on the open market. There is no true value to any player, group, team, or position. We generally try to keep it Bills related, but you can pick the other team if you'd like to make a statement. If you feel strongly about anything in the league you can say something about it, too. But, generally, you simply choose a player you'd like to support this week by putting him as a "BUY." This could be someone who barely plays or plays all the time. Someone you think can contribute this week. When you "SELL" someone it does not mean they suck and should be released from the team. It could be something along the lines of a player coming in really hot and having potentially their best games and you believe they've reached their limit. Last week I sold on Taron Johnson, feeling he would have a touch matchup and his potential was already reached the previous few weeks - I wanted to sell high. When you "HOLD" a player you're choosing to simply keep that imaginary stock or belief in the player for some or any reason. You don't have to already have committed to buying him. You did not have to acknowledge him at all any week prior. It could simply be a statement that you believe in someone on the team or a unit that you do not think is at their potential but also not going to regress any. That being said...my picks: BUY: David Edwards. With only one listed TE on the roster and our OL regressing I think this dude is going to see more time to contribute to the offense filling in as a blocker. SELL: Turning the ball over for any reason. This includes Sam Martin. I just don't want to or need to see any more punting. This is not against him. This is against any time we turn the ball over right now. I just do not want it. Our Defense cannot afford it. HOLD: Reggie Gilliam. We may be down to just one TE but this guy is dynamic and offers a lot on the field. While Quentin Morris, my favorite Falcon, is out we may have his neighbor from the North fill in with some playing time. Let's see what this former Rocket gets the chance to show.
  4. When Beane likes a guy and wants him he will pursue him to the ends of the earth.
  5. @Kirby Jackson can chime in on how bad Dennison was with poor decision making tied with McD
  6. Wow. Didn't see this coming....not
  7. End of year or end of season?
  8. in all of this - i am not quoting everyone - remember how we were one of the most successful 3rd quarter offenses in history for a while? this was while we were coming out and scoring almost every opening drive and then some in the first half. we had a secure lead of 10 pts after the half each game. this meant that our defense could play a little more risky, our offense could make lower percentage plays with less consequences, and we could play more open and free. this is the open and free we see when we need to come from behind. the 3 wideouts or more, the gunslinging taking chances offense. the taking chances that once in a while fail so we pile all over josh. the reality is the defense is having systemic issues and our lack of prep shows frequently.
  9. this was not any time recently, i would presume....?
  10. if you're happy with us basically being the 80's and 90's Dolphins, than cool. McDermott is going to win a ton of games because he's lucky to have Josh Allen. What would be telling is if Dorsey leaves - does anyone want to step up and work under McDermott? I'd guess many would be willing but would we hear whispers like we did with Daboll? We heard that McDermott is not easy to work with. I would love to hear Dennison's comments - he's way out of the league and a quality control guy for Sanders in Colorado.
  11. i think Pegula should hire AI to coach our team. Prime has been doing wonders showcasing blitzes and predicting the plays. i think we can use that for our team to coach us.
  12. don't forget Chris Kelsey (oops) Shaq Lawson ** I like Shaq Lawson as a depth and role player. he can set an edge and has a place on a roster. i've always been a guy who likes niche players for roles on defense though no one embraces this. lawson has a place with playing time when we play certain teams (ravens, mobile qb's, etc) and in situational playing time but he's not a high rep starter.
  13. i'd eat some crow that he took us their but still stand on what i said above. he's had to take a lot of lumps to barely learn anything. let him go back to the panthers and rebuild them. ------------- i really wish people had more knowledge of how ugly that lockerroom was for Peterman starting over Taylor in '17. McDermott let it happen.
  14. see below i liked him when he came. i really wanted Marrone to stay one more year to finish taking out the trash, honestly. but that was ok and mcd vindicated himself from my judgement when he had early success (potentially too early) with the '18 team. i bought into him as a rebuild team after having Rex run the team with Roman and Thurman, two obvious subpar coordinators. He brought in two great candidates to run the team and it seemed like he could manage being the overseer of the team as HC. Dennison ultimately struggled. it was against the Chargers that i first noticed a problem with him. he let Peterman start to the discontent of the entire team. to the point that the team gave up and didn't even care. they were messaging people during halftime about how it was messed up. against SD the chargers the coach took the team in unprepared and unwilling to step in when the OC was making a bad decision with peterman when it became obvious. fast forward to '19 and what he did in Houston. he had the team in a position to win and they choked. that was more of a shrug it off thing but it was the first time we saw a team unable to do anything valuable in the postseason but it was not the last. by tennessee in 2020 it was fairly obvious that the coach had issues. he took an unprepared team to get their ass handed to them and added a loss next week with an uninterested team against the Chiefs. the rest of the season rocked with supreme talent and one of the best rosters in the league in a long time. but 13 seconds was the nail in the coffin. for 2021 it was completely reasonable to see a disappointing loss to old big ben, a miserable jags game, an ass kicking from an inferior colts team we couldn't stop from scoring. in the end, wins are wins. and most here are happy just being relevant. i think this way of thinking means you're a loser. you either want to win homecoming queen or just be happy being asked to the dance. the question that gets asked to me all the time is if not McDermott then who? i don't have a solid answer for that because i don't pay enough attention to the candidates. but i do know that fear from possible mistakes is greater than the mistake of satisfaction over mediocracy. fire mcdermott at the end of the year.
  15. i double down and call it a fluke. obviously.
  16. @GunnerBill i still love you 🤣
  17. i am not at all disagreeing with you but not agreeing with you 100%. Maybe 97.43%. Phillips is a great depth DT to come in later in the game for a few snaps and earn 20ish snaps per game. He's equal to "Horrible" Harry who was only Horrible because he was truly horrible and whooped around all over the field. Saffold, Neschke, Feleciano are popular players everyone hyped on but ultimately showed their lack of value. We have a few on our team now overpaid mixed with undertalented.
  18. i'll continue to take my bow and ask for coronation. mcdermott sucks. it's just refreshing to hear i was not off my rocker. yep, cool. knock off some big wins because we are loaded with talent but when it comes time to have a football team competent to win playoff games with a good coach - we don't do it. Wayne Fontes = Sean McDermott
  19. he's a good pass rushing DT. the rest of it, not so much. i'm glad he's back but he's expensive.
  20. i hate that this is true! Tawain Jones?!?!?!
  21. one of the most miserable things in life is spending time in Germany and driving a significant time on the AB then coming home to the US and being incredibly bored driving. germans usually like coming over here because they can relax while driving and not be so high strung & hyper focused. one of the most miserable things in life is spending time in Germany and driving a significant time on the AB then coming home to the US and being incredibly bored driving. germans usually like coming over here because they can relax while driving and not be so high strung & hyper focused.
  22. Talked to a source about this I ran into at Baskin Robbins. He had a 9ers bumper sticker. He said he just posted it on Twitter.
  23. I love Levi Wallace. Dude has as the children say "that dog in him." Everywhere he goes he ends up starting, contributing and out producing expectations.
  24. No joke. I don't like the way Lynch does business at all but if this came from him or a leak by him it really is *****. But he doesn't have to ever deal with us. He's far, far away. Id talk to Tampa about their WRs and LBs on Thursday.
