  1. The guy is a fantastic DT. We can all only hope that he kills it against the *Pats and disrupts at the LOS, stopping the run, bringing more sacks to Lorax and getting Hughes some of his own. There's definitely a trend to return to the chicken little'ing of weeks 1 and 2 after the Fins loss, but I can see this team re-grouping and eating the Pats up.
  2. No stems, no seeds, just some of the real sticky, icky...ooowee!
  3. I get the feeling that Mario will mail it in for 14 of 16 games this year. The other two? vs. The Bills. Mills better be ready because I can see an angry Mario coming at him.
  4. Sad thing to see. He was a talented young man who had overcome quite a bit. RIP.
  5. Can we take this conversation to PPP? It really sucks to see it in a football thread. Just so we are clear...it is a good topic, just not one for here.
  6. David Lee is to blame. Love the win, but Tyrod's accuracy needs some work and his "QB coach" with the terrible resume hasn't done his job. I want Tyrod to be the guy because when he's on, it's exciting. However, I assume like every person on this board, I will not be completely satisfied until we see a Super Bowl winning product on the field and Tyrod has not shown that to date.
  7. I have low expectations for this game, but that's because it could be a trap game for the Bills. The one thing that keeps my hopes tempered is that the players showed that, despite playing a Rams team that they should definitely beat and knowing it, they still got themselves up and put in 100% effort. The trap games are losses when egos get in the way. They are wins when a team shows up ready to absolutely dominate. Let's hope they are reflective of their leaders on the field (Tyrod, Kyle, Corey) and that Rex has his ego in check and works with his coaches to create a winning gameplan and stays on the players throughout the week.
  8. I, like many, hold out hope. As a Bills fan, that's all we are ever given. Hope that the next game, next season, next decade will provide us with the team we deserve. The chicken little gang is frustrating, but I can understand their perspective. The optimists, beautiful souls that they are, are tough to side with. Realists are only realists based on perspective. Because this is a message board, the pessimists and chicken littles will always take over and the "realists" are quickly dropping into their world this season. Fingers crossed, horseshoes hung, chin up that the Bills can shock the NFL and show up tomorrow with a fantastic turnaround and beat the vaunted Cardinals.
  9. Sadly, for all of us, those are the two guys we miss most from last season
  10. Good sir, I see that you are a fantasy football fan. Because, stats are about as deceiving as can be. Those yards and points were achieved from broken plays, long bombs and garbage time. Those are beautiful things, but the Bills need TOP and that was where they were doubled-up on by the Jets. The intermediate and OVER THE MIDDLE throws were MIA. Tyrod is a great guy, a superior athlete and can get the job done with his legs and mobility. However, he looked severely regressed as a QB and that's what the NFL needs in this day and age.
  11. He's the Dinosaur in Dinosaur BBQ. All jokes aside, he's the kind of a guy I'd be good with as the czar, but preferably not the coach. Like Rex, he comes in with some great seasons under his belt, but he is quite removed from them. He is hard-nosed (which I truly believe this team needs) and a disciplinarian, but he's a short term answer due to age. The kind of coach this team needs is a Mike Tomlin. Young, hungry, smart, tough. I know they don't grow on trees, but Coughlin would solely be a stop-gap.
  12. To WR- Reggie Bush Backfield- McCoy,Gillislee, Williams All I can think of here. Let's hope the flashes Powell showed in the PS work out.
  13. Prediction- Pats sign Josh Freeman. Shocks the world...except Buffalo fans.
  14. This comes down to a number of things, but the horrible delay in play calls coming into the QB must be amongst them. Can there be no foresight and preparation on the sidelines for the next play? It seemed like a mad scramble.
  15. Totally. I've been to about 10 games at CenturyLink, so no worries there. The seats I usually sit in are 100 level 11 rows up on the 30. The guy wants $480USD per ticket for the game. Nawgannahappen. I'll be there though.
  16. Awesome! Excited to be there on Sunday and Monday! Have you guys got a line on group tickets? I need a couple if you know of any and the available stuff online is either poorly located or out-of line expensive. I'll pay, but man it stings with the US-CAD exchange rate. You can PM me.
  17. If this goes down, lynch Goodell. We have pieces of crap like Hardy being allowed to play, while Henderson is trying to just survive.
  18. I watched two Hawks PS game- @ Raiders and vs Minny. I was amazed to see Jahri playing deep into both games as a 2nd, then third, string G on a really bad looking O-line in SEA. He looked finished. Soft against the run and getting pushed around on the pass rush by second and third stringers. Now, is he better than Groy? That is, sadly, debatable.
  19. Different rules. If Carp can consistently drop that lofty kick around the 10 yard line, then that's most likely what the coaches want to see. I like having the guaranteed touchback on the team, but with the extra 5 yards tacked on this year.....maybe it's better risking the touchback to get an extra defender a guaranteed roster spot instead of exposing him on the PS?
  20. I believe Rex was speaking about the blood left after he and Rob beat up Manny for hurting himself pre-camp?
