  1. We still can’t believe TE Shawn Nelson lasted all the way until the fourth round, but he may be the biggest value pick in the entire draft. Nelson is exactly what the Buffalo Bills need in the passing game. He has an ability to make plays down the seam and create mismatches all over the field. I expect him to become an impact tight end at the next level. http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2009/0...-day-two-notes/
  2. 1. Raiders' second pick makes their first pick look Einsteinian. 2. Chargers spend 1st pick on Larry English. Good DE but probably the second biggest reach in the first round.
  3. It's almost anathema for me to say it at all, but I genuinely like this draft, sort of. We got some solid people who can start week 1. Maybin should probably move to OLB, which means we still have the same, ineffective DL from last year plus who we get back from IR. Almost every pick we made was underweight, in need of conditioning - not really unusual. Our defensive backs are all short and slow, tradition. If Maybin works out well, this draft works. If not, this draft probably works. I think Wood, Nelson, and N. Harris are going to be terrific in time, IMHO, and that would be a real asset going forward. If any of the DBs pan out, bonus. If we can land Levi Jones from Cincinnati, super!!!! I can't say that this will be a transformative year, but we're on the right track if we can just dump Jauron.
  4. I'd love to see another defensive lineman, a tight end, and an outside linebacker to round out our picks. If the Bills go for an OT, it's an unmistakable message to the 2008 Bills offensive line that their days are numbered.
  5. It's been an entire pick since our last DB. How can they resist?
  6. Maybin could be another Penn State bust but let's give him a chance to shine. Assuming he makes weight for his position without losing speed, he could be fierce. The decision to build the o-line was nothing short of brilliant, although I'm sure many analysts will look at the picks as reaches. We shored up a long time weakness. The SS/CB pick mystifies me, but, as has been mentioned on this board, we do turnover a ton of em'.
  7. I wouldn't want to be a OL veteran on the Bills right now. Might need to use those college courses now.
  8. and with the 11th pick in the 3rd round of the 2009 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select Buffy Dinglehoffer OT/Cheektowaga School of Modeling :wallbash:
  9. ...and Brown goes to Carolina on the very next pick.
  10. That's right... Unger available, Brown available, Beatte available, but the DorkJerker pulls another cornerback. Yup, we need a thousand of those in camp don't we???
  11. I love Miami!!! Get that pick off our board!!
  12. Take Maualuga at 28 if Oher not available.
  13. Maybe Cleveland will trade down to round 8 here.
  14. Agreed. Let's stack that line with talent.
  15. start feeding him now. is there a dave and busters near radio city? better pray for new coaching next year to get him nfl ready.
  16. Good move by Jets as long as they didn't give the store to Cle.
  17. With the schedule we're facing, another 7-9 season would be a victory. Anything better would be honey! We'd have to hit the draft jackpot and get a new coaching staff to get to the playoffs.
  18. Orakpo won't be available at 28, but I wouldn't mind trading up to get two great players (probably not Maybin).
  19. Our top scout is dating Jessica Simpson in Mexico.
  20. If Raji falls, we'd better take him, or this best player available crap is out the window.
