I would not consider going to a birthday party a "wrong place". It was just unfortunate that a riot broke out[/i].
Man, don't I know it! That is SO unfortunate----and just when the present were about to be opened.

A whole string of posts on ol' Romeo's response to criticisms of his original post have disappeared overnight.
WTF??

McGahee is a rock head. I saw him at Soho when he was a rookie and he is a idiot. I cant believe I bought his jersey after he got drafted, but me and Kenny burned it when we stomped them out 2 years ago
Henry, McGahee, Lynch.
So McGahee is the "idiot" in that group?
hahahahahahaha

Yeah, on PTI today he said he's still looking at his options and will make a decision on what's best for him. But one way or another, he will be playing football next year.
How bad is Michigan that this is their best prospect for QB? That he may walk on and be their starting QB?

"spellscheck"?
Busted.

There is no reason why Bills fans would not pay that IF the Bills were a contending team. The larger question is can they increase the price of suites by that much?
PTR
I agree, people would pay to be better entertained.

Isn't there some administrator that is supposed to make these threads go somewhere else?
-
Yep, ol' Willis.
Well, you know, on opening day 2009, he will know doubt note that the RB's we had before and after him are not playing football.

We have good fans but lack of support is not an issue in most of the NFL.
I do believe the NFL wants to avoid a relocation issue.
There is a difference between being last by a few pennies and being last by $20-$30.
The Bills are profitable now but only because we are debt-free. Anyone buying the Bills, unless they pay out of pocket, could never afford the debt service on the revenue this team generates. To be fair, there are few untapped markets that could generate that much revenue. The bright side of this economic collapse is that places like Las Vegas and L.A. are in now position to throw billions around to lure our Bills away. Still I would not get too cozy.
PTR
We are not last by "$20-$30". Not even close. In 2008 the bottom 5 teams in price were within 10 bucks of eachother----completely insignificant difference if you are committing yourself to a day at the stadium.
LA has had many years to "throw billions around" to get a team. Now they are broke. California is a fiscal mess. Ditto Vegas: the economy there is in a freefall as new projects are losing financing, buyers are pulling out of condo contracts, malls are defaulting on their loans and casinos are offering $40 dollar rooms.

I'm assuming this thread is a joke.
6' 1" 180 lbs and no meaningful football experience?
Sign him up!

Obviously, it's not Fitz's fault but Moss has never had a QB paly that poorly and that is because of Moss.
Andrew Walter.

I think you are overestimating the amount of happiness that he average fan will derive from signing a guy who blew off the Bills last year. Resigning him will not put many more rumps in the seats.

Lets see how fast Schefter's "inside" sources dry up now that he's spurned the NFLN.
This was mentioned in another post weeks ago.

True Fun Fact...
Florham Park is the home to the New York Jets training camp...where in 2008 the Jets relocated to...from their old digs/facility which was at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.
In 2006, Florham Park beat out Berkeley Heights, Jersey City, Millburn, South Amboy, and Wood-Ridge, which had all been finalists contending to be the host of the new facility...
Now after spending millions for their NEW Florham facility, in which they only have USED ONCE....They move their training camp outside of Syracuse to gain more fans and to regionalize!
Not a fact.
Actually, the Florham Park site is their regular training facility, not their training camp. The facility is where they train year round. Cortland is where they will spend at least part of their training camp. The Florham Park site does not have bleachers, fan parking or dorms so it can't function as a traditional training camp.

Has anyone else read this?
Great book by NPR Marketplace voice Stefan Fatsis. He joins the Denver Broncos as a kicker in training camp as a kicker and sheds a lot of insight into what it means to be an NFL player, how success and failure are defined by players and how demanding management is.
Reading it made me realize just how little many of the "experts" on this board really know. Life in the NFL, plays on the field and wins and losses are not always what they seem.
I highly recommend this one for any fan of the NFL...
Read it a few months ago. It's interesting how they really beat up on Sheffler initially, but he turned out well. But I disagree completely re: Shanny vs. DJ. Shanahan had a successful offensive system and he had specific expectations for his players. DJ has neither. This is a business and he ran it well, except that he neglected the part where you build a quality D.
A better read is "Boys Will Be Boys". Read especially the part dealing with the Boys v. the Bills in SB. The Bills were completely psychologically abused Dallas. Check out the scene where Talley gets decked in a bar as Kelly just stands there. SB goes to Cowboys.

I admire April for the job he does on ST and for the fact that he understands his limitations and thus has not persued a HC opportunity.
Let's face it , boys, there aren't a lot of decisions to make when punting, kicking or receiving same. You either have decent personnel and a good returner or two or you don't--Bobby April or no.

I think the same. So...when were the Bills brass given an opportunity to complain? Katz is right, they didn't voice displeasure because they didn't have a chance to (and they never would publically).
They agreed to a div game in Toronto last year. They did it again this year. Why is anyone surprised?
If the Bills didn't want it this way they wouldn't have had to wait to see the schedule. They could have simply said: "we don't want any div games played in Toronto".
-
Half the fun of being a fan is seeing that next year could be the year. If there is no hope, dont watch
I agree with some of your points but now that im going to school in Buffalo and possibly buying season tickets im going to keep hoping that this year is the year
You're a student and you are "possibly buying season tickets"??
You using Gov't backed student loans for those ducats?

5 roadies in 7 games because you are counting starting and ending on road games. All teams have stretches like this. We have no more than 2 games in a row away which is normal.
Only two teams have 3 game road trips - the Giants partly because they share a stadium with Jets - and the Seahawks who have three road trip games in row (Cardinals, Vikings, Rams).
Because the league promised to help Toronto sell games and douches of New York City are willing to spend the money to fly, pay for over priced tickets and stay over night in Toronto because the local games cost as much or more to get tickets to.
Last year it was douches of Florida who turned it into a Fins home game. Not enough douches form WNY buying tickets, I guess.

Of the 11 first round picks over the past ten years (that includes 2 years with NO first round pick), only 3 will be on the field for the Bills on opening day 2009.
Who's next?!

So am I....Plates...Ummmm Good!!
Place has never been the same since the old man died. The plate is unrecognizable from what it was back in the day.
It's a shame.

Because we have had such resounding success drafting tight ends over the years? No thanks, only 2 years of TG will not make me pine for those 4 extra years of watching Derek Fine, Schouman and Tim Euhus sit on the bench or run some stupid H-back scheme.
True! Look at the deadwood we've brought in over the past few years at TE. And suddenly we are going to draft a "promising young TE" in the 2nd this year?

Maybe he will pick Dolly Parton's agent. She's made quite a career out of a big rack o' t*ts.

Or that the Pro Bowl is a meaningless accolade.
How's the "winning" going with the Pro Bowl Peters-led Bills?
