  1. Dareus cracks Top Ten in this poll: http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2011/10/19/race-for-rookie-of-the-year-dancing-to-the-top/ this was before the giants game: http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7091350/nfl-new-england-patriots-ot-nate-solder-excelling-run-game
  2. just as i suspected....Palmer is now "doubtful" to start this sunday... "I'm 95 percent sure he is not going to play," one source close to the situation said Friday afternoon. "Practicing Wednesday and Thursday, he felt he's not ready to make those high-velocity throws yet. Maybe they could decide something at the last minute, but I don't think he's going to play." http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7131706/carson-palmer-oakland-raiders-unlikely-play-sunday-all-source-says it makes way more sense to let him start after the bye week.
  3. without a doubt right side DE. we've got Dareus at LDE and Williams at NT....and thats it.....after that it's mediocrity. this defense is still giving up huge yards. next priority is OT. either way, stay BIG with lineman !!
  4. as it sits today....the word is underappreciated, not unsung. #1- Fred Jackson...PAY THE MAN !! #2- Doug Flutie.....that whole Rob Johnson thing is still maddening. #3- Rueben Brown....should be on wall of fame. #4- Pat Williams.....should have paid the man. #5- Antoine Winfield.....should of kept him.
  5. all we want from T.O. is our key back.
  6. looks like you are right..... Newly acquired Oakland Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer, who hasn't played or practiced since last season, is expected to start Sunday's game against Kansas City, a team official told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7122918/oakland-raiders-carson-palmer-start-week-7-source-says
  7. wait til AFTER the bye week.... #1- would make a mockery of your backup QB #2- give him a little time to learn the playbook and come out strong. a 1st round draft pick is a salary slot of $4-5 mil on an unproven player. raiders can fill those salary spots with proven talent.....THEY LOST NOTHING and gained a proven starting caliber NFL QB. BOTH teams made out good.
  8. http://blogs.clarionledger.com/msu/2011/10/18/former-msu-nfl-great-kent-hull-has-died/ http://nems360.com/pages/insidemississippistatesports_full/push?blog-entry-Former+MSU+Great+Kent+Hull+Dies%20&id=16089826&instance=mississippistate
  9. i'd go just the opposite....rodgers was the understudy for 4 years to favre.....how much pressure is that ?.....go to a crap team with no offensive line and start immediately ??...now thats pressure.
  10. look at it another way.... a first round pick is a $4-5million slot in your cap space on a totaly unproven rookie. the raiders can now take that money and use it on a proven free agent. first round draft picks are OVERRATED !! this was a good deal for BOTH teams. carson palmer is even re-doing his deal financially. how did the Richard Seymour trade work out for New England ?? their D-Line has been crap since seymour left.....now new england has a backup OT in Nate Solder to show for it.
  11. According to a source, if the Raiders win a playoff game in the 2011 season, the Bengals would get a first-round draft pick in 2013. If the Raiders don't win a playoff game in the 2011 season then the Bengals would receive a second-round pick in 2013. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7118158/oakland-raiders-verge-getting-carson-palmer-cincinnati-bengals-sources-say
  12. like that richard seymour trade ?
  13. i'm going the other way.... THIS IS A GREAT DEAL FOR BOTH SIDES..... Oakland gets a proven franchise QB who had to throw to three washed up prima donna's in Ochostinko, T.O. and T. J. who's your mamma. Cincinnati gets two #1's that may or may not work out for a player that was never gonna play for them again.
  14. he is a once in a decade QB.....can do it all. make up the most ridiculous trade (the entire draft #1-7, three #1's, any player ) and i would gut my team and build around him.
  15. other than K. Williams & Dareus....the entire front 7 is mediocre...
  16. with Toronto...the 4th largest NFL market..... without Toronto.....the 2nd largest market ....after they relocate to L.A.
  17. may you live to 150
  18. i think it's a great deal for STL..... i think it would have been a good move for buffalo.
  19. is Fitz a "franchise" QB ?....not in my mind. (defined as top ten in league). is Fitz a legit starting NFL QB ?.....yes. (defined as top twenty in league). could we use a franchise QB ?....sure, (who doesn't want one of those). will we get one in next years draft ?...probably not, (other than Andrew Luck, it's a crapshoot). i think it makes more sense to improve the defensive front 7 and O-Line.
  20. The New England Patriots and St. Louis Rams were also in discussions for Lloyd, according to two sources. The San Francisco 49ers have shown the strongest interest in Denver Broncos receiver Brandon Lloyd, whom the Broncos said last week would be shopped around ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline, according to a report Sunday night in The Denver Post. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82330f70/article/report-49ers-showing-strong-interest-in-broncos-wr-lloyd?module=HP11_headline_stack
  21. they would be the #6 seed. http://espn.go.com/nfl/standings/_/type/playoffs/sort/conferenceRank/order/false
  22. oh boy.....depth at LT is troubling.
  23. Fitz needs to get the ball out in 3 seconds. Fitz needs to step up INTO the pocket, quit turning back to the outside.
  24. McGee much better than McKelvin
  25. McGee textbook tackle....nice !
