The Giants SB Win Proves...

got a chuckle out of this: Coughlin could be around for a while following his second title as a head coach. He signed a contract extension in July that runs through next season, but it looks as the Giants could revisit that deal following the franchise’s fourth Super Bowl win. It’s obvious he still wants to coach. “I don’t fish, I don’t golf,” he said. “My wife keeps telling me, ‘You better have something to do, buddy boy. If you think you’re going to hang around here, you’re crazy.”’ http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=ApglaB1h33hca8eHNdFP2ldDubYF?slug=ap-superbowl-giantscelebrate -
Man wins $50,000 on Tom Brady’s safety
papazoid replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that was exactly my first thought.....he must of had a whole bunch of crazy prop bets. -
A safety is a rare play in any game, but for it to happen in the Super Bowl as the first score of the game? No one would expect that to happen. No one would lay a bet on something so unlikely, right? Wrong. Jona Rechnitz bet $1,000 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas that the first score of the game would be a Giants safety. With 50-to-1 odds on such an unlikely score, Rechnitz is walking away from Las Vegas with a $50,000 pay day. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/man-wins-50-000-tom-brady-safety-155056494.html

#1- the bills will improve their talent level next year. #2- most every other team in the league will also improve their talent level next year. heck, just take New England for example......they have two 1st round and two 2nd round draft picks and the most salary cap space available of any AFC East team going into next year.

article says: "The car, due to hit the streets in about three years"... thats along time and many delays could push it further out.....no matter, i just find it interesting that they would spend big bux for advertising a concept car......hope it brings you much happiness when you finally get your hands on it. -

SELFISH....SELFISH.....SELFISH !!! if Peyton had the "class" that everyone says he does......then why doesn't he simply refuse to talk about or be interviewed at all this week? especially about anything to do with him and his career. because he is a SELFISH...me, me, me guy, just like the rest of them. why can't he simply say.....i will be available next week to answer all your questions. he's taking the shine from his own brother.....my goodness. i think it's dispicable.

Goodell to consider eliminating Pro Bowl
papazoid replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no game....no skills competition.....no risking injury. i would prefer an "awards" show similar to the ESPY's.....where all the true winners (no alternates) including those participating in the Super Bowl would be recognized. it should be held during the off week of the super bowl in the same city where all that media is already assembled. You could also announce all the AP MVP's, Offensive and Defensive players, rookies, coach, comeback player of the year awards, etc.... -
"I really didn't think that was the kind of football that we want to be demonstrating for our fans," Goodell said. "And you heard it from the fans. The fans were actively booing in the stands. They didn't like what they were seeing." Goodell said something has to change. "We're either going to have to improve the quality of what we're doing in the Pro Bowl or consider other changes or even considering eliminating the game if that's the kind of quality game we're going to provide," Goodell said. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7542806/nfl-commissioner-roger-goodell-says-ceasing-pro-bowl-consideration
