  1. straight to the MNF booth.... mans gotta work.
  2. i hear that....and most athletes dont walk away until they are forced too.... but he said and did all the right things leading up to last season also......and then at the last moment reality set in.
  3. i think he's DONE and will RETIRE before he plays another real game..... but if he does play.....i think Houston makes the most sense for Peyton.
  4. 4 time MVP, all those commercials....i have always thought of Peyton as a class act. i was taken aback a little during this years Super Bowl week, when it appeared to me he stole some of the shine away from his own brother Eli, by granting so many interviews to discuss his own pending situation, even though the weeks before and after, you hardly heard anything directly from Peyton. at the time i was thinking how selfish.....but as crazy as it sounds, it's quite possible the Mannings (archie, peyton & Eli) orchestrated that as an attempt to take some pressure off of Eli.
  5. i had 4 season tickets last year in SEC 110 ($90) and added 4 more this year in rockpile SEC 202 ($25). i used the NFL Ticket Exchange last year for first time. very good experience. i sold 2 philly tix for $250 each, 2 Jets tix for $225 each and 2 tenn tix for $100 each. you will not have any problems selling games in Sep & Oct......gets harder later in year.
  6. breaking news... Peyton Manning's 14-year career as a member of the Indianapolis Colts is coming to an end. Sources close to the team told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen that the announcement will come at a news conference in Indianapolis on Wednesday with both Manning and owner Jim Irsay in attendance. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7653897/sources-indianapolis-colts-part-peyton-manning-wednesday
  7. “I mean, it’s something I don’t really want to get into much,” Fitzpatrick told the Toronto Sun. “The only thing I’ll say is guys in the NFL play hurt. Every game guys are hurt, especially at the end of the year. And that’s just part of the game, it’s part of the business, and something you have to do.” Receiver Stevie Johnson was slightly more talkative on the topic. “I know personally, in the huddle, the worst it got — to my knowledge — is he barely could say a full play under one breath,” Johnson told the Sun. Coincidentally, the team’s — and Fitzpatrick’s — slide started thereafter. At 5-2 after shutting out the Redskins, the Bills lost seven straight. The quarterback’s passer rating plunged from 116.4 against the Redskins to 51.9, 46.6, and 45.8 in the next three games. That said, the fact that teams like the Saints (or perhaps a decade ago the Bills) were using cash as the carrot to knock guys out of games, I’ve now got a different attitude about hiding injuries. I NOW HAVE EVEN GREATER CONFIDENCE THAT FITZ IS A TOP 15 QB IN THIS LEAGUE.
  8. Kevin Acee of the Union-Trib (who has been right about everything chargers) reports that “it is believed” the Bills have interest in Jackson even after Monday’s five-year, $36.25 million Stevie Johnson deal. Buffalo is oozing in cap space after a rollover from last year, and it sounds like G.M. Buddy Nix is ready and willing to spend. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/05/bills-rumored-to-have-interest-in-vincent-jackson/

  21. looks like all of the above....except #3. i like ralph is cheap better...
  22. In past offseasons the Bills have waded carefully into the free agent market, letting the flurry of early signings go by the board before actively pursuing second tier talent that fit their philosophy and gave them good value for the money invested. When the bell rings for free agency in just over a week, the Bills will still pursue good value, but will be in the thick of the hunt from get go. “Yes I would characterize our approach this time around as more aggressive,” Bills GM Buddy Nix told Buffalobills.com. “Our philosophy since we got here was build through the draft and then plug in mid-range guys in free agency. Wait until the first week has passed and the fanfare and overspending happens is probably over in the first three or four days. We’ve waited in the past. “This year if there is a player that upgrades our team considerably we will be aggressive immediately. We’ll go after him. We may get him. We may not, but we’ll get in the hunt.” As Nix himself mentioned that approach is a departure from the last two offseasons for Buffalo, but there’s a clear reason why the Bills are more eager to pursue some of the top free agent talent that could be available. They believe they’re much closer to reaching the postseason in 2012. “I think the first two years there were so many areas that what you needed was numbers,” he said. “Now we’ve still got room for improvement everywhere, but we can probably narrow it down to four or five areas where if we had those plugged in I think we’d be competitive until the end of the year.” http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Bills-to-be-more-aggressive-in-free-agency/80078e75-86f0-4e6c-97fb-538d0a8d91ee
  23. unless he gets a lifetime ban.....i would expect Fisher to show some loyalty.
  24. stevie's tweets could mean all sorts of things.... #1- it ain't official to i sign.... #2- the agent reached a verbal agreement with team late last night and will tell stevie all the details this morning. #3- he's still undecided if he should accept bills offer now...or wait to test free agency. bottom line...they must be pretty dang close...schefter, while not always right...is certainly usually right.
