  3. this is neither good or bad. I assume ALL teams have plans for "value" signings. wether you go after big names or value signings....you need to "hit" on them. value signings like that of Manny Lawson, Alan Branch and Dan Carpenter were successes. his trade for hughes was a success.
  4. $24 mil in Cap space, two 1st round picks, if Cleveland offers the job for 4-5 years GUARANTEED....you take it !!
  5. adjusts well to passes thrown behind him.....EJ needs him.
  6. last year a RT was drafted #1 OVERALL by KC......Eric Fisher
  7. Seven of 49ers eight Pro Bowlers decline to attend http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/01/21/seven-of-49ers-eight-pro-bowlers-decline-to-attend/
  8. General manager Mickey Loomis said the New Orleans Saints will use the franchise tag on tight end Jimmy Graham if necessary -- a move that could trigger a groundbreaking battle over whether the pending free agent should be officially considered a tight end or a wide receiver. And Loomis made it clear that the Saints consider Graham a tight end. "Isn't that what we drafted him as? Isn't that what he made the Pro Bowl as? That's what we see him as, a tight end. ... That's what makes him valuable," Loomis said. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10328372/gm-says-new-orleans-saints-tag-jimmy-graham-necessary NOTE: TE $6,066,000, $5,194,000 WR $10,537,000, $8,867,000
  9. congrats to Marcell. the game itself should NOT be played. risk of injury, half the first teamers opt out and players don't take game seriously. should be replaced with an ESPY/Academy Awards ceremony where all the First teamers including super bowl players get recognized. have it in the city where the super bowl is hosted, during the off week, while all the media is already assembled.
  10. Kurt Warner Jeff Garcia
  11. this where a long snapper will really earn his pay.....instead of attempting a 45 yard FG hiking it from the 28 yard line and spotting it on the 35.....fire that baby back to the 40 yard line and go for 4.
  12. a QB coach is critical.....probably the most important position coach on the team. to think an OC can do both jobs is a mistake.....which is now being corrected. AVP is an uninspiring choice.
  13. The high success rate ( 99.6% ) coupled with the injury risk outweighs the very slim drama of a possible miss. Far more significant is the removal from the game of the potential surprise two-point attempt from placekick formation. But that also happens very rarely. There's also another benefit to dumping the extra point. The ensuing TV timeout would give the replay official a little extra time to determine whether a full review of the touchdown is needed. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/01/21/eliminating-extra-point-makes-sense/
  14. “The extra point is almost automatic,” Goodell said. “I believe we had five missed extra points this year out of 1,200 some odd (1,256-for-1,261, to be precise). So it’s a very small fraction of the play, and you want to add excitement with every play. There’s one proposal in particular that I’ve heard about. It’s automatic that you get seven points when you score a touchdown, but you could potentially go for an eighth point, either by running or passing the ball, so if you fail, you go back to six.” http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/01/20/roger-goodell-nfl-will-explore-eliminating-the-extra-point/
  15. #1- FRANCHISE QB #2- LG #3- LB #4- RT #5- TE
  16. while the Bills are adding a couple of players......so are the 31 other teams. the ONLY way to leap frog those other teams is to get a FRANCHISE QB. EJ is NOT a bust.....he's just not a franchise QB....heck, he isn't even mediocre yet (ranked 29th).....if things go his way, he will crack the Top 20.
