  1. First off by law once a company says they cannot afford something, reference it, or imply it they have to show them the books. It is a matter law of National Labor Relations Board. If every business in the midst of labor was taken at face value because they said they couldn't afford anything there would be no economic impact on a union negotiating wages and benefits. It would be a futile effort. Every business owner has that "F the employees and their demands" attituded when it comes to a negotiating and they are entitled to that sentiment to a point but this NFL vs NFLPA is a totally differnt scenario. They are not demanding more money for their pockets; they are fighting for better health coverage into retirement. Say you are a construction worker and you fall off scaffolding and break your back. Your care for that injury and all expenses related to it are covered by that employer's compensation insurance. It is not so for NFL players after their career in a highly physical field. They are responsible for it forever. What makes absolutely no sense to me is the decert of the union. As far as I know, from my experience as a union president in the state of NY, once a group decerifies it's union in an open period (during negotiations or 2 yrs after ratification of a CBA)it must remain without a union for at least one year. The latest move by the NFLPA is mind boggling. There is nothing compeling the owners to come to the table, they can lock them, hell there is no CBA in place so they could strike. When negotiating a No Strike/No Lockout clause goes hand in hand. Both parties agree to do neither. And, to boot, they would not be able to seek representation for a year unless the owner. Technically they could say...Screw it we are having an 18 game season, we are not going to honor any contracta with players (barring any MOU, agreement or contract exceeds the CBA) They can't just implement an 18 game season because they wanted to over the last 5 years because it is a change to working conditions, also negated by labor law. I am baffled here, they ALL stand to lose a lot of money due to a lock out or strike.
  2. I wouldn't let him clean my toilet. I dont care how nice he is............he set this team back 5 yrs. I loathe him. Orakpo.....thats all I have to say. Break Dont Bend #$$hole!! God I cannot stand him.
  3. AMEN Im glad he wants to leave. He is a liability in coverage and good for at least one penalty a game but closer to two. Bye Bye They shoulda never let Jabari Greer go. But that was that twit Jauron.
  4. But we have Aaron Maybin with all his experience and self percieved strength...LOL...I loathe him.....again Brian Orakpo!! All joking aside I like all three DEs!! I think we stop the run our secondary can actually play and not worry bout the run. Find a good RT and we are in business. The QB can wait another year.
  5. Id treat him like Mike Vick treated dogs!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot stand his smug hollier than thou attitude. But, I guess when you win & you are good you can do that.
  6. He may be overpaid in my proposed position but I think he could shovel the stands from here on out, clean up the lots after games, help sell Coors Light, or do the teams laundry. I must say he is the WORST draft pick in NFL history. I cannot think of any other 1st round blunder than him. Jauron should be seen by a psychiatrist. Brian Orakpo......OMFG......Brian Orakpo...............and we have Maybin walkin after every play like his lats dont allow his arms to fall. What a tool!
  7. Never before have I seen more postive attn given to a 2-9 team. A lot has come out of this season that we didn't expect. With Kyle Williams, Stevie Johnson, Freddy J, and Fitz getting the majority of the attn I think we all need to be pretty damn pleased with D-Bell. I may be wrong and cannot seem to find any stats online but I do not believe he has allowed a sack this year!! I think this is a huge step in the rebuilding process. As pessimistic as I was at the beginning of the year I must say that Buddy was right, we are not that far off! Go Bills!!
  8. NO NO & NO................we just signed a local kid off the streets to play RB because of the injuries. Why in God's name would we trade Spiller???
  9. UHHHHHHHHHHHH the Vikings just cut him so therefore the Bills have first crack at him.
  10. HES A FRIGGIN ROOKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hes a guy that imposed his will at will in college..............there is going to be a huge change he needs to get used to! Give him a break hes made one bad play!!
  11. Ya his job has been to &%#$ UP the team for many years. It amazes me that he is still employed here.
  12. Apparently because in the Miami game we were asked to leave because we were "too negative". We weren't drunk, or belligerent; we were too negative. I guess everyone seriously believes that a miracle will occur and talent will be infused on the field or something. I want Ralph to refund my money.
  13. Pick me I wana be the free safety........Ill stay on the field all game too. BTW I'm 5'8" 220lbs..........i can get burned every play too.
  14. Well we were asked politely to leave by security because we were too "negative"!!!!!!!!!! I love new season tix holders and one game a yr ppl that show up and think its the damn SB............the game was horrible yesterday. Sorry everyone around is content and not outraged w/ that. This is our third yr w/ season tix and I am tired of paying HARD earned money for filet mignon and getting steak-ums. Now, I am sure it was annoying to hear negativity but this is where the FO has put the fans; disgusted and frustrated.
  15. Im in.............I say right after the coin toss we all start screaming it out. Want some POSITIVE attn on the Bills????????????? This is the best way to get it amigos.............HOLY SHITE..........We have something to cheer about!!!!!!! NICE....Im posting this on FB and saying after the coin toss it starts...agreed???? Yours Truly, Paramedic Abbott
  16. Exactly why they didn't draft a Clausen, exactly why they didn't draft a LT, and exactly why they chose Spiller. Some may say it is a luxury pick but he truly is an asset that may save some games this season. Chan & Co NEED to see what they have before they can move on. You dont build a three floor addition on a building until you know the foundation is sturdy enough. No one knows what Edwards is capable of or if he even can play in this league, no one knows if Evans is gona have a shot at being a premier reciever, I am sure we all can go on but the FO & Jauron really messed all these players up. Its like getting out of an abusive relationship.............you have to let the dust settle, find yourself and move on. Anyone who expects the playoffs this is truly not in touch with reality, now its not impossible but not probable. Yes we Bills fans are in another "rebuilding" year. At least we are looking up and not at each other wondering WTF is going on like the last three years. Just my opinions.
  17. What airport are you flying into????? N.Falls or Bflo???
  18. Good for you............priorities baby!!!!! I refused to let the dr. turn off the Sabres playoff game on May 30 '06 while my second son was being birthed. LOL
  19. Of course they are going to say that.............all there is to base the Buffalo Bills on is last season and it was dismal as we all know. All the league can do and us as fans is sit and wait and see how they play. Now I was frustrated w/ the QBs but in all honesty that whole team was so mismanaged for so long that all we can do is hope Edwards rebounds, the RBs & O-line get in rhythem and the switch to the 3-4 is as painless as possible. We can come up with all sorts of scenarios but it comes down to what is on the field every Sunday. One thing we can say is we have witnessed more improvement in the last few months than we have seen in almost 10 years, we have bright spots and things to build off.
  20. WHY? cause he sucks!!!!!!!! Hes always sucked in the NFL. He has a crappy attitude, no work ethic and his raw talent stayed in NCAA. He sat there pouting on draft day because he was the last qb in the green room. I just do not like him, never have. His comments the other day prove hes an idiot. but just opinion, some make like him just be weary of wanting a name. We tend to do that in Buffalo.
  21. Ok well maybe they should "convince" him to change his mind. I was content (for lack of a better term) w/ the O-line last night. To be honest...........its more than we have seen in years so I guess we can only get better. Just my two cents the day after..........it is buffalo so I am sure something will happen to make us look foolish again.
  22. I totally agree..............its not his fault that where and when he was picked. The kid has done nothing but work, work, and work. Hes stayed out of trouble. I believe the stigma w/ Maybin is that he followed other first round draft picks that have not played like first round draft picks. Now, Whitner and Leodis are good players but have they really played like 11th overall material? I do not believe so, Byrd has! How bout Mike WIlliams, or McCargo, etc. Its frustrating when your only light at the end of the fan tunnel every yr is the draft 5 months after the season. IDK when considering Maybin I see Orakpo, he made the PB.......thats first round play. I cannot believe Modrak is still employed w/ the Bills......I am sure Maybin was Jauron decision but my health will decline if I discuss Jauron. I like Maybin so with all things considered I would give him this yr then see ya.
  23. Well...........are they wrong? Trent just yet again proved he does not have "IT" like they claim Tebow has. He used to, I think his hit in the Arizona game ruined him.
  24. From what I could drum up on youtube I like his arm. But what stuck out is his foot work! He has a field presence too. Seems to be a confident boy like Phillip Rivers. Be nice to have some of that here again some day huh?
