I dunno but he has played 25% of the snaps on the season and 44% of the snaps against Detroit.  Got his second biggest opportunity of the season against Detroit and did nothing with it.  Dude is invisible.

No targets at all.  Hard to blame him unless he never got open which I highly doubt.

I did not catch that.   It could just be they like Rhodes better right now and Benford had an injury so he got sat down even it it was gonna just be a couple weeks.

Yeah could be.  Rousseau said last year was a long year being a rookie.  Curious if Benford is starting to hit that rookie wall as well.

I'd say "Good" because I thought Bates did a perfectly capable job at center when he's gotten the chance, but then who plays RG and what effect does that have on the running game, which finally looked as though it were getting tuned up?

It looked like 75 Van Roten was at RG in the short clip shown up thread.  I think Quessenberry would get the start at RG if Bates at C.

Bates was snapping the ball to Allen during media viewing portion

    Was Quessenberry at RG?

This is hindsight of course, but I wish we could have traded up for Pickens.  Have been impressed by what I've seen of him.

But overall to your point....since Beane took over, the offensive picks in the first 3 rounds are Cody Ford, Spencer Brown, and 3 RBs.  Two of those 5 players are no longer in the building.

Beane did draft Allen and traded for Diggs but I see your point.  Really need to keep the WR room loaded as long as 17 is around.

I would add that we are not getting the production from McKenzie, that we got from our former slot receiver who I shall not name due to the political leanings of this board.  Either it is the play calling or simply McKenzie can't get open in the slot not sure which is the cause.

I'd add that Allen doesn't trust him as far as catching the ball.  McKenzie has some of the damndest things happen to him regarding ball security.

They really miss Beasley, or at least Beasley in his prime. He was a zone killer, and the Bills don't have anyone like that. If you take Diggs out, like the Browns seemed to, and there's not much left. A better run game will help, but Beane gambled that either McKenzie or Crowder could step up. Hasn't worked out that way. Like other posters here, I'd say it's time for Shakir, Cook, and Hines.

I agree.  I fully expected them to take a WR in the 2nd round to make up for Beasley's departure.

Yeah, I listened to the Dorsey press conference, and there was one media member who was aware, and actually pressed Dorsey on usage of Hines and McKenzie's lack of productivity the entire season.

I share the concern among other fans here that we are getting nothing out of the slot right now.

I would add Shakir to that question.  They don't give him any targets as well.  I know he's a rookie but we're 10 games into the season.

Well our media only seems to be asking how it feels to have Josh Allen, or what it means to them to get their driveway shoveled.

Instead of something like, Brandon Beane told the media that Nyheim Hines would be used all over the field, in the slot, catching screens, handoffs, motion plays. Why has he only been used as a special teams player and not in the offense?

But I guess a better question of your OC or Head Coach is what does it mean to you that Detroit shared their stadium on short notice?

My hope is the Bills are installing plays specifically for Hines and waiting to use them against AFC East opponents.

My ideal situation is Davis signs a team friendly deal to be our #3 receiver next season and beyond and Beane finds a legitimate dependable #2 for this offense next year and going forward.

I don't disagree but Davis will want to be paid.  His uneven play makes it tricky for Beane.  They definitely need another receiver in the mix.

I think that was Taiwan Jones.

And that ball couldn't have been advanced anyways. Even if he recovers it, by rule it's down at that spot.

Is that a new rule about advancing an onside kick?  Hyde advanced one for a TD a few years back.
