Pretty wild that he's still available. Matt Parrino had a rumor last month that he's "retired" but I wonder if he'd take a cheap deal for just the playoff run?

I think we can all agree, he'd be great depth this late in the season and we don't want to wait for a "must have" scenario where he has all the leverage.

    What do you think?

They only have 5 WRs on the roster.  I'd be willing to think he may have a spot.

Then again, he might just get cut and end up on the PS.

Kumerow was hurt again this past game.  Ankle I believe.  Bills might need Stevenson at some point this season.   If anything, to be a deep threat and open up things underneath for Diggs and Davis.

There is no limit on how many players a team can place on IR, but there is a limit as to how many can be designated to return. A team can bring a maximum of eight players off IR throughout the season. The same player can be activated off IR up to two times, but both activations would subtract from the team’s allowed total of eight.

So here are things to consider for the game...

What if Erie County issues a travel ban like they normally do in these situations?  Nobody who cannot walk/snowmobile can legally attend the game?

Those bans typically last far longer than you would think...perhaps they make an exception, but how does having 70K people trying to get to a single point help them? Could be a logistics nightmare.

What if the I-90/219 is closed?

Just not a good situation no matter what if they decide to play the game here. Likely everywhere else will suffer from lack of plowing trying to ensure their plows keep paths to the stadium clear, and there is no guarantee they can keep up with it anyway.

All legitimate questions/concerns.  At some level of snowfall, not sure what it is, the game becomes too much of a burden for Sunday at 1pm.  Either later start on Sunday,  move it to Monday, or possibly relocate the game to another city.  You can't have a football game take away limited resources that are needed to get the overall area cleared of the snow and up and running again.

Wow, this thread got out of hand.   McD deserves criticism for some decisions in close game losses over the last 2 years.   But I really believe the Vikings loss is way more on the players than coaching staff.   If you're one of those who is going to lead every bad play or lack of execution back to the coaches then there's not much to argue.

For example,  I played D-back in college and was told by every coach from the time I was 10 years old to knock it down  on 4th down.   Cam Lewis is a 3rd year pro who knows better.   Sometimes players make dumb plays.

For those killing the coaches for poor results and blown leads, were you praisng them for adjustments in the comeback against Baltimore?

It's hard to win when you have 4 turnovers.  Especially the ones the Bills had the other day.

Not sure if I understand you correctly but this doesn't make much sense. Are you implying that if there are internal issues they are related to the fact that some offensive players are not targeted and are mad about it?

If yes, who do you have in mind? Since I don't see it.

Davis gets enough targets and he is the last one who should be complaining about anything.

I can't imagine KcKenzie being like this. Maybe I am misreading him.

Knox is one of Josh's best friends, isn't he? Do you think he has a problem with him?

Crowder is on IR. Shakir is humble rookie. Singletary gets targets. Cook is also a rookie.

    So who?

My guess on internal issues is between McD and Dorsey and not the players.  When things were going well, Allen was spreading the ball around to different players and making the easy throws.  Allen's average depth of target was between 7 and 8 yards a throw. The running game wasn't great but serviceable.  Since the Steelers game, Allen has become more reliant on deeper throws.  Not counting the Vikings game, Allen has averaged 12 to 14 yards per throw.  These numbers are coming from Joe Marino on his podcast.  Allen isn't spreading the ball around like he did early in the season.  (He did a nice a job in the 1st half of Vikings game).  So my guess is McD is at odds with Dorsey regarding play calling and not mixing up the plays enough.  JMO

It's not as if we're married to the guy or signed him to some lucrative extension.  They signed crowder for a pretty reasonable deal, and drafted Shakir.  Crowder got hurt, so Mckenzie is getting more snaps.

Yeah it wasn't a lucrative extension but Crowder never really competed with McKenzie in training camp.  He got hurt early on and was behind the 8 ball.  McKenzie is a Smurf and has ball control issues and Allen doesn't trust him.

He is NOT a precision route runner which is what is needed from your slot receiver.

This.  McKenzie is a WR5 at best.  A gadget guy.  Why they thought he could be a slot WR3 baffles me.  I was ok with letting Beasley go because he was becoming ineffective.  I really wanted a WR drafted in the second round this year.

I concede all of those points.

I do have a simple question, though.

In spite all of the problems you mentioned, if Josh Allen hadn't thrown the picks in the red zone that he has thrown the past two weeks, do you believe the Bills would still have lost those games?

Our defense has flaws. Our offense has flaws. Our personnel, largely due to injury, has holes. Despite all of that, it is my contention that Josh Allen suddenly playing like the 2019 version of himself is the main reason that the Bills have lost the past two games. It is my belief that, even with the flaws this team has and the injuries it's struggling through, if Josh wasn't suddenly throwing boneheaded interceptions -- particularly in the red zone -- the Bills would be 8-1.

I agree.  Bills would be 8 - 1.  I think Allen is pressing too much.  He's lost confidence in his receivers other than Diggs and the Bills run game is bad.  I believe he feels he has to make something happen in order to win.  He doesn't have enough of a supporting cast. It feels like 2019 all over again even though he has Diggs.

Base runners who actually do that are dirty a-holes, though. And subject to retaliation, oftentimes.

There is a difference between a lead foot that "tends to come up in the air" and a lead foot that deliberately/defensively targets the jewels (and then rapidly lowers in the case of a guilty Mac Jones).

Jones has already established himself as a dirty, delicate, and dramatic doooosh on the field. The images don't lie. He has attempted to injure (or at least "hurt") defenders on multiple occasions. And famously, he does not take his own injuries in stride, in the moment.

First of all, I think Jones is a D bag and a whiny B word.  Yes, I am a Bills fan and I did play high school football.

If these are intentional acts, where's the outrage from the players?  Where's the reaction from the other team? Where's the flag or disqualification? Where's the fine, etc from the league?  The lack of a reaction is really odd to me.

Yeah I certainly didn’t see that and think it’s a clean play. I’m not sure what buffalo fans are expecting to happen though. There’s a lot of shady stuff every week.

Jones slides like a runner in a baseball game.  His right foot, the lead foot, tends to come up in the air.  I'm not saying it's intentional but all it takes is one defender to believe it's intentional and it could get ugly.

Why exactly is it a big deal?
All that stink over mac grabbing burns ankle last year and now this.. He’s probably gonna catch a 10k fine or something it’s not some crazy act like Aaron Donald throwing his helmet on to run out and start a fight with Britt after their game ended.

The pats hatred is living rent free in your heads still. On the scale of dirty plays this was shady but the punishment is going to be a minimum if anything and you already know that. Worse stuff happens and barely gets a mention

I think most people who saw it are expecting a fine on Jones and nothing more.  You're right though - I hate the ***** Pats!

Zappe is making the right reads, throwing accurate balls, and getting the ball out.  Yeah, guys are open— but he is still doing the right things.

Fields is dropping the snaps, throwing ducks, and running around the backfield for 5 seconds because he can’t process any of his options.

Fields has had a pretty good game running the ball with a few good throws.
