  1. I agree. I don't put much weight into the team average age. They could have Allen at QB for 10 + years.
  2. There's a few players ( Miller, Saffold, Poyer, and Hyde) whom I'm glad we have but don't help us in this particular situation.
  3. Yeah you miss point altogether. The Bills have made the playoffs the last 3 years and have a deep roster. The Jets have done what the last 3 years? Lawson and Wildgoose were originally drafted by the Bills and you want to give credit to the Jets? Smh. Also Sam Darnold the 2nd overall pick in the draft a few years back and you somehow think that's something too. Are you a Jets fan?
  4. I would say it's pretty good given the strength of the Bills roster.
  5. McCloud was likely the last guy cut. Between him and Cam Lewis. Morris and Sweeney made the 53 in large part because they were likely to lose them if cut imo. Morris might turn into a nice player. Sweeney is JAG.
  6. A quick rundown of former Bills now on other teams the last 2 years. - DE Darryl Johnson traded to Carolina for a 6th rd pick. Bills used this pick on Christian Benford. Panthers released him yesterday. Claimed by Seahawks. - released G Jack Anderson. Signed to Bills PS. Eagles grabbed him. Eagles released him yesterday. Claimed by Giants - released Rachad Wildgoose. Signed to Bills PS. Jets grabbed him. Jets released him yesterday. Claimed by Washington - traded G Cody Ford to Arizona for 2023 5th rd pick. - released TE OJ Howard. Looks like he's signing with Bengals - released DB Nick McCloud. Claimed by Giants - released OT Luke Tenuta. Claimed by Indy - released OL Tanner Owen. Claimed by Saints - released DE Kingsley Jonathan. Claimed by Bears Just crazy the number of players who can't make Bills roster but end up somewhere else.
  7. The Bills signed Saffold, Mancz, Van Roten and Quessenberry. Plus they re-signed Bates and they drafted Tenuta. You think Kromer had no input in those decisions? The guy has been in the league for 20 plus years and is considered one of the best. Why would he come to Buffalo given your stance of "he has nothing to do with personnel".
  8. Kromer definitely has input regarding personnel. He's not cutting guys and signing guys. - that's Beane's job. But he is involved in evaluating guys and most likely has significant input on who they draft and sign. It's just how it works in the NFL.
  9. Some players need development time and the Bills are pretty good at bringing guys along. Morris, Gilliam, Lewis, Dodson, and Bates were all UDFAs.
  10. Eagles cut G Jack Anderson, former Bills 2021 7th rd pick. He was on Bills practice squad last year when Eagles acquired him.
  11. I'd say Sweeney. He was inactive a fair amount at the end of the season. I'd guess he'll be inactive a fair amount this season. He's terrible.
  12. Gunner - you can start another 100 year war and have time for your cup of tea!
  13. Whoa ... Wait a minute. Is this liquid peanut butter a real thing?
  14. IIRC in the past draft, it appeared the Bills were caught off guard in the 2nd round. Big run on WRs in that round. Bills traded down a few times and took Cook. Makes me believe they were eyeing a WR but outmaneuvered. Beane used a 4th rd to trade up in first rd. Probably didn't want to give up any more picks at that point in the draft.
  15. If the Bills just dress 2 RBs on game day plus Taiwan Jones like they've been doing, I could see Beane trading Moss.
  16. Curious to see how Bills approach acquiring punter. Are they looking for a young guy on the cheap, an older veteran on a 1 year deal and get a young cheap guy this off season, or perhaps sign a veteran to multi year deal?
  17. Holy crap. This guy was having a real nice start in the NFL. Hoping for a full recovery.
  18. Possible. It was previously posted the Titans have 2 punters on their roster - Kern and Stonehouse who may draw interest if one of them is cut.
  19. I think this is the reality the Bills are facing. They are in the middle of a media ***** storm and the storm will pass as soon as Araiza is cut. Yes, there are questions that need to be answered. Bills organization has taken a PR hit. I'd hate to be the person who approved the team's "thorough investigation" statement.
  20. It's definitely a bad look for the Bills. I hope the Bills can honestly say they did not know of the rape allegations when they drafted him. I have a feeling Beane will be addressing this situation in the next few days. Hopefully sooner than later. This story will not go away anytime time soon. I'd imagine Beane is going over the waiver wire and once they identify a punter they want, Araiza will be cut.
  21. I think Araiza is a goner. McD was definitely upset about the situation. My guess is Araiza told the Bills some of what happened but sanitized some of the details and left other stuff out altogether. The civil lawsuit contradicts what Araiza told the Bills and provides more explicit detail. McD talked about finding out the truth and that's going to take some time and it may never fully come out. The Bills don't have much time. This story is all over the media and it's giving the Bills organization a bad look. Time to cut bait.
  22. I agree Yolo. It sounds like they're keeping him out of sight and it may be a sign of what's to come.
  23. Sal Capaccio said he's there but no one has seen him on the field.
