  1. Everything that has been said about Robben has been somewhat true, having said that, there hasn't been a player that has been as dangerous as he has this world cup. The guys one on one skills are absurd, seems like no one has been able to stop him when he runs at you at full throttle. The guy is great.
  2. Sure you did, and you were called out for it.
  3. So, you attempt to make a blatantly dishonest and lame post regarding the lack of diversity over at Fox, and when called out on it, you claim it to be irrelevant.
  4. Yet, they still have more employed African Americans on the set than either MSNBC or CNN.
  5. The US has made it out of the group stage in 3 out of the last 4 world cups, that would be like the Bills making the playoffs almost every year for the past decade and a half. So...... yeah
  6. Another guy that has the makings of being an absolute star for the US, should he decide us over Germany is Gedion Zelalem. He is with Arsenal, has played in a few games with the first teams, and some people said he was the best player on the pitch at the age of 17. Wenger, Arsenal's Manager believes he's a star in the making. This is the guy that could be the play maker for us in the midfield. I really hope he chooses us, and Klinsmann has been recruiting him hard.
  7. I think Klinsmann overall did a really good job with this team. If there is one main criticism that I have with him, it's that he didn't select another holding striker that could have replaced Altidore. There was no replacement for him, Boyd or Johnson should have been the back up selected. The other decision was the omission of Landon Donovan, he certainly would have been a much better choice than Wondo. Personally I like Wondo, but he was selected to this team not because of his physical gifts or skill set, but because of his knack to place himself in opportune chances and execute. Sadly, he had the opportunity of a life time, all teed up and he choked.

  9. If there was ever any doubt that Messi has been the best player in the world over the past five years, you gotta take a look at this.
  10. Every time Yedlin has came off the bench, he has helped creating scoring opportunities. I think we need to get him on the pitch, he can either play the right full back spot and we could move Johnson to Outside midfielder or keep Johnson where he is and move Yedlin as the outside midfielder. I think we gotta find him some more time on the pitch.
  11. You are one miserable dude. No wonder many of the posters don't like you. Yeah, fitness is a huge element of the game, almost as important as skill.
  12. I don't think you can point to this game when the Germans were knocking the ball around at the end of the game to look to their fitness. The U.S is regarded to be one of the better fit teams in the tournament. The results regarding Portugal vs Ghana were coming in, and knowing that Portugal had the lead, there was no urgency to press them, considering that their spot was pretty much secured for qualifying themselves into the knock out stage. If this had been a knockout stage game, they certainly would have pressed much more towards the end, not to mention their whole game plan would have been different. They played tentatively, almost if they were looking for the draw. Which certainly is not the best way this team plays, they are at their best when they are attacking.
  13. Considering only two teams make it out of each group, and we were matched up against the #2 and #4 teams in the world along with Ghana a nemesis of ours who happened to knock us out of the last two world cups, it's a great accomplishment. But, yeah, the nerve that they would celebrate this accomplishment in public is terrible. Sheesh, just celebrate in private in the locker room, never mind the millions of fans that have been cheering you on, they don't want to see your stinking celebration!
  14. He's been great.
  15. And you are gonna make damn sure that everyone knows! See my vitriol. Hear me ROAAAAARRR!!!!! Harummphhhhhh!! You mean qualified? Yes, that is all that counts.
  16. With 5 days of rest, I think the U.S is going to come out with a more sustained attack. Belgium is damn good, but I think we can take them as long as everyone concentrates for the full 90 minutes.
  17. Portugal and the US may have received a big lift. https://eurosport.yahoo.com/news/world-cup-ghana-send-boateng-muntari-home-world-110136779--sow.html Personally, I think Suarez has a few loose screws in the head.
  18. Humor doesn't fit you. Just stick to your bread and butter - Cynicism. Oh wait.....That was cynicism.
  19. No doubt, the best.
  20. Uh, I'm guessing you actually didn't read the link. The link according even to their standards didn't state in their view which sports required the most stamina, it simply listed 6 different sports. And your second link wouldn't open. Also: http://sports.yahoo.com/top/news?slug=ycn-10764123 http://www.livestrong.com/article/474836-what-sport-burns-the-most-calories-per-hour/ There it is, there is no other team sport throughout the entirety of the game that uses as much cardio as soccer. As I said before, so yes, it is fact, not opinion. The point isn't to to attempt to convert people into liking soccer, I could give a rat's patooty what they like. It's a matter of mocking ignorance, and it doesn't matter whether it's politics, economics or sports, ignorance is ignorance. People want to make declarative statements, that's fine, but I'll correct them if they are wrong. Statements such as: "how many miles you have to run isn't really too relevant." "7 miles over 105 minutes is a 15 minute mile. That's not exactly exhausting." " What I'm saying is if guys like Sherman, Graham, LeBron, CJ, and dozens of other football and basketball players grew up playing soccer instead of the other sports, they'd dominate the game. DOMINATE. " "Ah, now I get it--it's like....gymnastics! Another sport that gets "serious attention" every 4 years by people who don't really care about it. " Statements like this is pure unadulterated ignorance, and it's begging to be mocked. Listen I get it, people don't like certain sports, that's their prerogative. However, there are always those dou***bags that always have to go out of their way to state how much they hate the sport. I'm not a big fan of a couple sports, if someone asks me about it, I may let them know why I don't particularly care for it. But that's not the way it is for the dou*ches, who incessantly have to make their point. That's fine, but if they say something ignorant, I'll correct it.
  21. Nigeria vs Argentina. Great game!
