  1. Seriously, I'm not one for conspiracy theories. But who here actually believes that there isn't some tampering going on with Biden's Senatorial papers that are being housed at the University of Delaware? Lots of it is stored on hard drives. Tara Reade is asking for this to be unearthed, why would she do this? She claims she made a complaint and it would be there, she has to know that if they opened it up and nothing was there, that it would hurt her case. But some Democrats are even calling for this to happen. I don't trust it one bit.
  2. Democrats are crafting talking points from the NY Times article to give to all their surrogates to exonerate him and debunk the allegations. Stacy Abrams, yesterday on CNN shamelessly parroted those exact talking points. Never mind the fact that the NY times did not exonerate him or for that matter their "exhaustive" research on it didn't even uncover the two people who just came out to back up Reade's claims or even unearth the video from the grave from her mother. And, that article was based off what the NY times had on April 13th, not the newest developments. But now the New York Times is saying that Biden's teams talking points are "inaccurately" describing their reporting. Ouch!
  3. That would seem to make sense. That's how I viewed it when the VA report came out. With that said, what's your thoughts? In the overall scheme of things, the drug is helpful or not helpful to COVID patients.
  4. I wouldn't be so sure. If indeed this is the case, which appears probable, then having kids go back to school makes perfect sense.
  5. I read through that article and it says it has been peer reviewed. @GG Is that what it's saying? This seems more than anecdotal, isn't it?
  6. I agree wholeheartedly, it's not so much that I want to protect China in any form, just generally speaking I don't like to speak in such absolute terms. Unless it has to do with the media
  7. That's true, that negative trial came out of China. And I hate to be one of those people who just say automatically "Don't Trust China", but DON'T TRUST CHINA!
  8. Fascinating. What I would like to know is how they define "severely ill"? And with those severely ill patients, what % typically reach "clinical recovery" without Remdesivir? And, I thought that there were some initial trials that showed that people very ill were not improving that much. In any case, if the market is reacting well to this and they are making the statement that it's assisting people then that is fantastic news.
  9. It appears that over the weekend is a bit of an under count that is tallied on Sunday and Monday and then what was under counted is dumped on to Tuesday. That's how it appears.
  10. Based off of this chart, that would imply today’s/Wednesday’s end of day death count could probably be around 1600-1650. And then Thursday and Friday maybe around 1500-1550.
  11. @Deranged Rhino can you unpack what these Catherine Herridge tweets and the rest of these General Flynn info. Just the published stuff and if you want to add your speculation that too but preface it. I think I understand but not 100% sure.
  12. I don’t get why you are distorting what he said. He said no such thing. Edit: I didn’t see that others responded to what you had said already
  13. Just got done watching that DeSantis/Trump press mcdoodle, and you could see DeSantis was doing victory laps over the media. He is the governor of my state and he's been doing that over the past few days. You can see that it frustrated the hell out of him all the media teeth gnashing over the way they thought he had mishandled it. He pointed out the facts and the facts show that the way he handled it was a hell of a lot better than most others. And even though the weather helps the way they handled it in a much more surgical manner was a model for other states to follow.
  14. This is where Fauci shows his inability to communicate things in a non alarmist way. He is being truthful, nothing wrong with that, but if he was more media savvy he could use different words that as I mentioned previously, that will now make the rounds He could have said "could pose some challenges", or some other wording that says the same thing without making headlines.
  15. So here is how the Washington Post is framing the new Biden allegations. It's no longer merely an opinion that the media is a broken institution it is indisputable.
  16. You would have thought that the dam was breaking with the Larry King deal, but NOPE! Surely it will be front and center now. We will be awaiting with bated breath
  17. Make no mistake, Gavin Newsome and Cuomo are going to turn on Trump in a major way in the coming months and all this stuff will be thrown right back in Cuomo's face in a very public way.
  18. Why isn't this major news???? Do a quick google search and you would be hard pressed to find a mainstream outlet produce an article that is fresher than a day old. Most of them 2 days old and there aren't that many of them. Nothing from NBC, CBS, ABC or hardly of the other ones. From the article: Now that makes 4 witnesses who can contemporaneously corroborate her story.. How many could do the same for Dr Christine Ford? Not a goddamn person, that's how many. Not one! And yet there were thousands of stories and countless hours of breathless coverage over it. Look at this one, we are talking about someone who very well may end up being the president of the country and you mean to tell me NOT ONE DAMN question has been posed to Biden about this? Not one minute on the Sunday talk shows were dedicated to this despite the call from her mother to the Larry King show that implies that something did happen??? Just the way the left went after Trump and Romney over their tax returns, this should be the right's clarion call heading into the elections. "Joe Biden Must release his senatorial papers!" They should continue to keep hammering that point over and over and over. Two points here: A) She is a Democrat, a "strong democrat" at that. So she isn't politically motivated. B) Wow, she still plans on voting for him?
  19. More serological antibody testing data is coming in through New York. It's even more widespread than their initial findings according to their testing. I've been saying it for a while now, by the time we get to the fall, New York City will be over 40%. That along with all the measures that will be in place by then should provide a strong firewall for New York City. Just pull out all the stops to protect the most vulnerable and get back to business. That would be the intelligent data driven approach.
  20. Yep, things are happening in real time and decisions that policy makers are enacting have profound impacts on people’s health and livelihoods and they should be taking in the data and making the best decisions with what is coming in. We don’t have the luxury to wait until things are conclusive.
  21. Regarding our discussion:
  22. Something to consider: ———————- ”How can anyone not believe that increasing the number of COVID-19 deaths may create an avenue for states to receive a larger portion of federal dollars. Already some states are complaining that they are not getting enough of the CARES Act dollars because they are having significantly more proportional COVID-19 deaths." On April 19, he doubled down on his assertion via video on his Facebook page. Jensen said, "Hospital administrators might well want to see COVID-19 attached to a discharge summary or a death certificate. Why? Because if it's a straightforward, garden-variety pneumonia that a person is admitted to the hospital for – if they're Medicare – typically, the diagnosis-related group lump sum payment would be $5,000. But if it's COVID-19 pneumonia, then it's $13,000, and if that COVID-19 pneumonia patient ends up on a ventilator, it goes up to $39,000." Jensen clarified in the video that he doesn't think physicians are "gaming the system" so much as other "players," such as hospital administrators, who he said may pressure physicians to cite all diagnoses, including "probable" COVID-19, on discharge papers or death certificates to get the higher Medicare allocation allowed under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act. Past practice, Jensen said, did not include probabilities. He noted that some states, including his home state of Minnesota, as well as California, list only laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 diagnoses. Others, specifically New York, list all presumed cases, which is allowed under guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as of mid-April and which will result in a larger payout. ————————- USA TODAY reached out to Marty Makary, a surgeon and professor of health policy and management at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, about the claim. Makary said in an email April 21 that "what Scott Jensen said sounds right to me." ————————- What Jensen is saying is that there is a financial incentive for states and hospitals to list some of the unknown pneumonia death certificates as “probable” COVID. Simply because if that pneumonia patient is listed as standard pneumonia, flu or other affliction they would get $5000. But if they list it as COVID “probable” they get $13,000 and if that person went into a ventilator they get $39,000. ”probable” is a new standard that had not existed until the Cares act was passed. There is no “evidence” of wrongdoing but there are anecdotal reports of this. We know that both states and private hospitals are under financial pressure especially due to these shutdowns and at the end of the day humans are humans. To believe that there aren’t any hospital administrators that aren’t encouraging physicians to classify deaths that are pneumonia related and could potentially be COVID related despite no positive testing would be awfully naive.
  23. That’s just old crazy uncle EI. He blurts things out sometimes.
  24. Would you be less offended if I took out the word “real”?
  25. I disagree, the media is a broken institution and they deserve nothing. He should work around them
