Everything Joe Biden--Gaffes, Miscues, Touching, Songs

Whoahhh!!! Journalists need to first vet this carefully and if they think it's credible this absolutely needs to be reported....This would fit right in with the "creepy Joe" moniker. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Magox replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
More and more of this data is backing up what I was saying a couple months ago, which is that I thought the mortality rate would be in between .25% - .5% This is really good news and should absolutely be guiding policy maker decisions. -

They the left and the media have left themselves to an insanely idiotic and impossible standard that they set. The media is very self-aware at this moment of this hypocrisy and they are grappling with how to go about this. The unadulterated hacks will be continue to be hacks but the ones that have a modicum of standards are having to make very difficult decisions in going against their base/viewers wants to what they know is the correct journalistic standard that they should be following. I have to say this, Mika Brezinksi actually did a much tougher interview and good job that I thought she would have done. Sure, she could have followed up a little more but all in all, considering their extreme bias towards Biden, she did well. Biden went in there thinking this was going to be the best environment possible for him, he thought it was going to be tee ball time. And to her credit, it wasn't. He got confused, agitated, flustered you name it. And when she pressed him three times about the Delaware records, I actually have a different take than what most people do. The reactions I am reading are that they believed he was trying to hide something with his insistence to not releasing any of the Delaware records. My take on it is different. He was prepared for the first question, which was a stock prepared response. What he basically was saying is that he shouldn't release the Delaware documents because throughout his long tenure there will be some potentially in his words "taken out of context" positions that he has taken over the years that would be used as "fodder" against him. Nevermind that there are voters who want to see that similar to some voters wanting to see Trump's and Romney's tax returns, but the point he was making is somewhat passable. But it really isn't because now there is a sexual allegation against him but with that response it could suffice the concerns of most of his base. What he wasn't expecting was for Mika to follow up with him. She offered a compromise sort of solution which was to just search Tara Reade's name. That through him for a loop, he was not prepared for that. He basically responded with incredulity towards Mika basically saying "I don't understand what you are getting at?"... and when she followed up again he said "How would you even do that?" . Most people think that he was just trying to hide something...I think it may have been something else. I think he was thinking in actual literal terms of -how would they actually search for that?- . In other words, he's not even thinking of hard drives and a performing searches in that manner but he was thinking - how would they literally search Tara Reade's records through filing cabinets. I think that is even worse, because if that is the case then he is just doesn't have the mental acuity to handle issues in real time. He really is mentally slipping. Either way, he was either trying to block people from seeing even in a limited way things that could corroborate Tara Reade's story or his lack of mental sharpness was on full display. One other point, he boxed himself in saying that any of the records anywhere will show that there is NOTHING on Tara Reade, Even sexual harrassment claims. -

I'm guessing Mika and Joe are huddled somewhere together thinking - Oh My God, that was really really bad. Screw it, it's too late now, we're all in - -

I think reasonable people can agree that the intention is if real infections are going down, not what it shows on paper. -

There is a problem with that...The amount of testing that is taking place now is considerably higher than it was two weeks ago. So it does stand-to-reason that the states that are showing as confirmed infections as remaining flat are most likely trending lower in actual infections. From my perspective, the ones trending lower in confirmed cases and are remaining flat can reasonably make the case that they are meeting the stated guidelines of the Federal government. Dangit, you beat me to it. You too -

That was damning. Even Mika who is one of his staunchest defenders you could see was struggling with why Biden was not willing to open up his Senatorial records in Delaware. Biden's canned response is that it could provide fodder of some of the other things and positions he had taken in public life.....Mika pressed him and said ok, but how about just a search for Tara Reade. He wouldn't budge. Why? Why not just allow a search for anything related to Tara Reade? You could see the perplexed look in Mika's face. That was a give me opportunity, he could have just agreed to that.....Which by the way I think is BS anyway, you either open them up or you don't. It's like Trump and the tax records, Trump doesn't want to open them up. For not opening them up he took hits all the way up until election day. The same standard will have to be made for Biden...He can authorize the release or not, but if he doesn't then he will take the hit for the appearance of trying to hide something. My guess is that the pressure will build and he will allow some sort of sham partial search of Tara Reade in the records. He will have to fold, the pressure will continue to mount. That interview will give cover to a faction of Democrats but not nearly enough for him to unify the left and for some of those moderate right leaning women voters that are wary of Trump. -
I didn't know where else to put this. This was an article that was written by Matt Taibbi from Rolling Stones, and I sort of view him as a Sister Souljah journalist of the left. He is a true and blue liberal and probably much more so than most of the mainstream media hacks. Just a phenomenally written article and I highly recommend it for good reading. This was a great take in the article: - I think this perfectly encapsulates the vapidity of how information is disseminated from people who are not knowledgeable about a topic who have clear biases on which source they want to absorb and how they relay that information to the masses who are unwilling to research it further and often times take what they hear as gospel from outlets that tend to reaffirm their confirmation bias.

Politically it won’t matter. Partisan lefties and righties will go to their corners and the swing voters who are reasonable about it will understand that the local, state and governments are doing everything they can. And ultimately the blame will be laid on China, as it should be. -

When Trump won, I pretty much took a big step away from politics. I just became pretty damn disinterested and what sort of woke me up were the Kavanaugh hearings. The righteous indignation from the most politically craven hypocrites this earth had ever seen with the #metoo crew, and you know who they are, Hirono, Klobochar, Pelosi, Duckworth, Kamala Harris, Warren, Gillibrand including the media and many of their followers had this incredibly dangerous standard that they set and they were going to destroy Judge Kavanaugh at any cost. Now the standard has been set and they now have to lie in the bed they set. These same ***** hypocrites, now are entirely dismissive or have gone completely silent. They have been completely exposed for what they are, which are a bunch of opportunistic hacks who don't give two flying ***** about women....At least women who don't help advance their cause. They are doing irreparable damage to the #metoo movement because it will forever now be seen as a tainted movement that was propagated largely not by Just motives but for naked political ambition. That's not to say there aren't women who truly do care about the essence of the #metoo movement because I know there are women who do care about this more than politics. But that will not take away the stench of the politicization of the movement that has now been exposed with the Biden double standard. These political hacks can never credibly claim #metoo for the rest of their lives and with that for those that have pure #metoo motives can thank these wretched humans for destroying it. -

This is what I was saying yesterday.... Does anyone actually believe that Biden's hacks are not going to do some shady stuff if they do indeed find something? -
Let me ask you this....I heard yesterday that when Obama came and met up with Trump at the beginning of his term., he warned him of two things, Kim Jong un and Michael Flynn. Do you think that maybe Obama was involved with the investigation in that he was kept in the loop about it as what you just posted above? That this warning he gave to Trump had to do with what he already knew was coming?

So this is the part I am having difficulties understanding from what I keep reading and hearing from Flynn's detractors, which is that he did lie. I understand the difference between lying to Pence, but that isn't what they are only saying but they are saying he lied in the FBI meeting....Can you show me the proof that you are talking about where he didn't lie or back up what it is that you are saying, I think you mentioned FBI notes?

There should be a national dialogue in getting back to work
Magox replied to Magox's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I agree....I have been promoting a phased in opening up the economy approach for a while, with that said when my family goes out we wear the masks...We try to keep a reasonable distance. Even though there is strong data that supports that the fears are overblown, we still want to do our part. I'd hate for any of us to get the Virus and then pass it on to anyone and then something happen to that person. So while I will not let the Virus impact our lives nearly as much as the doomsdayers who seemingly want to stay shut in till perpetuity, we want to be as responsible as we can about it. -
If Amash runs, he will take some of the NeverTrumpers votes away from Biden.
