  1. I can see it now, with a bust for Mallett in Canton: "Greatest quarterback in NFL Preseason History. Ryan Mallett tore apart vanilla NFL defenses in the preseason, establishing himself as Preseason Rookie of the Year on his way to an undefeated preseason and major accolades from bloggers and board posters. His selection was automatic as he always did the very best against the finest preseason defensive schemes."
  2. Who were the quarterbacks when then did that 3 years in a row? Who was the GM when they had a substandard QB and drafted those WRs?? If you have players like Fitzpatrick, Jackson/Spiller, and the young WRers we have, you can AFFORD to draft those OLmen. Detroit didn't have that kind of offensive potential!!
  3. CAUSING THIS: "Shawne Merriman caught with steroids" "Shawne Merriman busted for steroids" "Report: Shawne Merriman Recently Caught with Steroids" "Former Chargers OLB Shawne Merriman Caught with Steroids" AND YET... "For the record, I’ve sat on this story for close to three weeks—and numerous mainstream media members I’ve confided in can attest to that." Journalists like in All The Presidents Men (Woodward and Bernstein) did their research when a source came forward. Mr. Moran is not a journalist in August, 2011.
  4. Remember the SI days when they always picked Miami to win the division, and each year they were wrong? They bet on Marino and Shula and lost... LOL
  5. Andre Reed follows Rich Gannon on Twitter, so I doubt Rich Gannon is a Bills hater. He's just falling in line with most of the others who don't see much improved talent with regards to our offense in a division that features the Pats and Jets. The only thing that cures it is WINNING.
  6. You have to ask: Does Ralph Wilson EVER want a black starting quarterback in Buffalo? There was Harris, but that was 40 years ago. I think about that a lot when the QB discussions come up. Brad Smith may be a gimmick QB that he doesn't have to pay big money...
  7. +1,000. You are a freaking genius!
  8. Go back to 1974 and draft Franco Harris, and trade OJ for another first round pick. In hindsight....
  9. I HAVE to call bull on Cortland Finnegan being #15 overall... he is most certainly NOT a shut down defensive back, and is regressing before the Titans very eyes! BAH.
  10. Ohh, I'm sorry. John Fina only played for the Bills for 10 years, so he must have sucked.
  11. First Round Bills OL picks of the past: 2002: Mike Williams - BUST The rest: (ahem) Ruben Brown, Pro Bowler John Fina (very solid LT) Will Wolford, Pro Bowler Jim Richter, Pro Bowler Stew Barber, AFL All-Star WHAT are we DOING???? My God, I didn't realize that we were 5/6 on picks for OLmen. That is amazing, and yet we ignore the position for lower round picks. Thoughts?
  12. Maybe he had a good strong cup of coffee! I'm not sensitive, just touchy!
  13. I was listening to the Good, Bad, and Ugly from Mike and Mike this morning, and Golic bashed the Bears O-line, saying that 9 sacks was terrible and that Cutler is 'running for his life'. No discussion at all as to the performance of the Bills defense, that they may be greatly improved and are looking to blow up teams this year. This is pretty much expected from a 'no respect' POV, and I look forward to a return to a 99 Bills kind of defense!!
  14. Thanks! This guy could not protect Peyton Manning, and now quits on his team entirely. NO thanks.
  15. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Read: "Ugoh's release comes as no surprise after what happened earlier this week. Ugoh was missing from practice on Wednesday, and nobody was really sure why. Jim Schwartz declined to comment, and the only thing we really heard was that Ugoh was considering retirement. His agent did say that Ugoh would be back in a few days, but now that won't be happening with the Lions releasing him." http://www.prideofdetroit.com/2011/8/14/2362745/detroit-lions-tony-ugoh-mikel-leshoure
  16. I would look at the proper usage of the apostrophe in your "someone's", which is also quite amusing.
  17. You all are acting as if he was James Lofton, Andre Reed, or even Eric Moulds, who he is not. They were teammates, and when you get to know someone you have a natural reaction like he did. On the other hand, you being a fan and reacting the way you are is based on your OPINION of his talent and not by some emotional attachment to him. I have sat back and seen you try and make those who favor this trade out to be rookies and idiots. NO more... he's older, hasn't done much for us lately, and was replaceable.
  18. How on earth are we going to win the same amount of games with an improved team and considering that we lost FIVE of our close games last year that we gave away? This is most certainly not the Bills of the mid 1980's... the only truly gaping negative that continues is the Pats dominance over the Bills, a streak that should have ended had it not been for Leodis.
  19. NO WAY I thought it was an accurate representation and deserved to be lampooned. For once Parker and Stone nailed it!
  20. I found three things interesting: 1. Pozlusny is a 'tackle guy' on one of the worst defenses in the league. Neither Mike bothered to ask WHY, and didn't mention anything other than the vs. the run stats. There was a hint of "how do you miss a player on a terrible defense" from Greeny, but they didn't really look inside the numbers. 2. Cris Carter and this "Miami has more talent" argument... wow. Greeny really embarassed him by bringing up a Fitz for Henne trade offer, and Carter couldn't say he'd do it.. laughable! I was really beside myself not to see Golic there this morning, and instead the biased Cris Carter. UGH. 3. Cris Carter said we don't have strong depth an WR... OK then tough guy, who ARE the other receivers we have? I was SO waiting for that, but of course no one has the cajones to make him provide actual analysis. What a joke again, CC...
  21. His decision making is terrible in big games no matter if he reads the right defense or not.... after the way he single handedly lost the two big games this past season, I am surprised New England would draft him.
  22. Improvement comes at a cost, and Lee Evans has gone past his peak (37 receptions vs. 82 for Steve Johnson this past year) in a system that doesn't depend on the long ball. So long as Ryan Fitzpatrick is our QB, he isn't an absolute must have kind of player.
  23. There is no better time to trade Lee Evans than right now, before anyone sees him play. If Arizona needs a complimentary receiver and they are willing to pay for it, do it. Why not? If we aren't able to be in a position to make the playoffs by using our offense as I see now, then give us more tools to improve the team vice hanging onto him for little upside and value.
  24. Vote here for Andre! http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/ballot/_/id/4533/bound-canton-2012
