  1. lol or 5-0 if the defense gets him the ball back against NE. Its silly to talk about the hypothetical because EJ could be 3-1 if some of his receivers caught balls in Houston. We really have no idea.
  2. I don't disagree that is probably a good idea to give him a shot if you know the season is over, but do you think if there is a chance for a winning(or just a better record) these coaches would do that? EJ is their pick so, if they are not here after the season he may not get a chance at all with another staff. I know it seems counter intuitive, but would it be better to keep Orton in for that reason? I understand the let's see what he's got/learned, but if the coaches feel they won't be here, would they really care? They won't even play established players that will help them win now(Urbik, Mike Williams) why would they care about the future of a franchise they may not be part of?
  3. Yeah ... it would have been better to start 3-5 and go 8-8 then to start 5-3 and go 8-8. One shows improvement then other shows a collapse of sorts. I think 9-7 is the way to look at it(being safe). Going .500 after a "fast" start shows improvement/continued motivation. There is no reason for a team with this talent to go less the .500 over the last 8 games. Any consultant should be able to provide that prospective to the Pegulas
  4. He seemed to be able to run in the games he played and the preseason well enough. However, if true he should be released and a different player should be added to fill his role.
  5. This is a sad state of affairs ... the teams need a franchise QB because the coaches are not good enough without one. Fumbles happen ... but in game decisions are what HC are paid to do. I do not know why Marrone is not called out be the media on this stuff more during press conferences.
  6. The problem is that KC did not "Win" that game, the Bills lost that game. If they can take that away and learn from it they, very well, may do great for the rest of the year. However, last year when they gave away games they play horribly in the games that followed.
  7. Orton had a bad game. Especially in the red zone on Sunday. It happens. Let's see how he does on Thursday. He was also with out a 100% Sammy with whom he did not practice with all week. He needs to play better in the Red Zone which was one of his strength going into this game. That is not true ... EJ needed to see how Kyle handles the huddle, practices, and meetings. He never had that experience with Kolb out. Now that he has seen, and hopefully learned it, he is in a better position than when he was benched. To believe otherwise is not being objective.
  8. Yes but not about this series of plays. This is the most infuriating thing .... I can not stand an empty back field ... "Hey! Just so you know. We, in no way, intent to run the ball. Please make sure you have all your coverage guys in!"
  9. The problem is that they get killed either way ... run twice then throw they are too conservative ... throw on every down they are nuts. If Orton connects on any of his throws in the red zone in the second half no one is saying anything.
  10. That is a question I can't answer ... I have no idea why they did not try for the first down. And yes they could have tried to run for that ... I am pretty sure on their earlier attempt from the 2 they did try and run and got stuffed.
  11. Of course had Brown not fumbled he might have been the first to do so. lol
  12. They gave up 259 yard through the air and ~100 on the ground and have not given up a rushing TD. The play calling was correct the execution was off. If you want Hacketts head fine, but he was not wrong for throwing the ball.
  13. In the red zone it is. They have not allow a rushing TD all season.
  14. Exactly ... Hackett was playing to KC's weakness. Orton was off the mark Sunday. It happens. Lets see how it goes on Thursday.
  15. Did you see Newton last night? QBs have bad games ... Should Newton no longer be an NFL QB? Orton had a bad game ... let's see if he does better Thursday.
  16. I totally agree ... I am just wondering if there was more than just Marrone's stubbornness involved.
  17. He is going to be on his best behavior to try and save his career. The Bills just need him for 14 weeks(if lucky). If the staff can't mitigated his behavior in that short amount of time they are not very good at their jobs. IDK if that is the case ... he is certainly an upgrade to the other guard position though. Ha! They just need him to play his position and NOT mentor
  18. If true, Whaley should be on the phone with his agent saying we will beat their offer.
  19. How do you figure? They seem to change the line every week.
  20. In this case Marrone believes bigger is better so, Pears is better with that line of thinking.
  21. ^^This. Also, it seems to go against your logic ... how do you think they got in the position of being 2nd and 2 at the 5 and then 1st and 10 at the 15? Did KC just put the ball in those locations?
  22. I do not know if more experience equals being in the "right" place. Wasn't that one of the issues that Stevie had? He got open but ultimately was not were the QB expected him to be? I would think the same thing ... I was just suggesting an alternate reason for his not being active. Also, was there not a flare up between the two during the Lions game?
  23. Do you not know how many games Schwartz loss in Detroit in similar fashion to what happened yesterday? Unfortunately; Schwartz is an horrible in game manager too.
