  1. Not sure it is rare or extreme: Ripken Williams Hostetler johnson Dilfer E.Manning(although he has grown) At least 10% of the SB winning QBs are anything but elite and the is treating some average/above average QBs generously.
  2. Are you talking about Walsh's time as a coach? The salary cap came into existance ~1994 and Walsh was well gone by then.
  3. I gotta say Tasker is a good choice but I might name mine Kelso.
  4. True but he also came in twice as the backup, the Arizona game was basically a full game , and did not perform well. I do not dislike Losman but I think he needs a lot of help to be a productive QB in this league, backup or otherwise. I blame Mularkey for that, he should have given him more time under Bledsoe instead of handing him the job in his second year. He also was too big on flip flopping him with Holcomb instead of choosing one or the other. Everyone likes to state how well Mularkey did with Ryan this year but that was a different situation, here as a head coach he did not have time to work with his QB to that extent and it was a determent to JP.
  5. That depends on how long it take to send those plays to the helmet. If you have to wait on the OC to pick a play tell Van Pelt and for Van Pelt to send in the play, it may not help that much.
  6. I think this is a great point! When you look at more modern versions of the no-huddle the most important piece is stripped away, the hurry up piece. OU vs Florida last year was a prime example, sure OU would line up in a hurry but then Sam Bradford would look over to the sideline for the call from the coach wasting 10-20 seconds for a play to come in. The no-huddle is close to meaningless if you are going to line up quickly, then wait for a call the come in from the coaching staff, and then walking up and down the line convening the play. They should have the plays scripted or the QB should be calling the plays with a suggestion from the OC. I think it would be a great idea for the Bills to run this type of offense, Trent did great in hurry up situations last year. If he has 4 quarters do play like that all the better.
  7. I am on board with Drew Willy that would be a home town coup! I doubt that will happen maybe come is as an undrafted pickup.
  8. Why does the NFL's Bills draft page state one of ours needs is a WR? I know that Owens is only here for a year but that is hardly a need, is it? They also have RB as a need again strange with the signing of Rhodes, that too hardly seems like a need. I am wondering who created that page and when.
  9. I admit I am pretty ignorant about the draft but I do not understand this statement and others like it. I mean, if you need a TE and he is available at 11, why do you care if he is taken at 11 or 20? I do not understand why it matters if, of course, your choice for the team's first pick is a TE. Can someone explain this to me?
  10. Perhaps I am missing something but doesn't their team sites goes against their mission? They state their mission is: to "fulfill the unmet needs of football fans in major markets currently underserved by professional football", but two of their sites have two NFL teams each (San Francisco[Raiders/49ers], New York[Giants and Jets]) how does this fulfill their mission?
  11. I would have to agree! This line pretty much sums up his arguments:
  12. There has been a lot of talk on this board about the sale of the Bills when the day comes that Ralph passes. So, when I saw this clip from Peter King I thought I would share. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/video/pet...ated/index.html You have to wait til the end to see it, but I thought it dovetails well with discussions that have been posted on this board. Sorry if this has already been posted.
  13. If they were a real cold weather team they be out there today to practice, and it would feel like the tropics to them
