  1. Why not the Cowboys. They have a whole bunch of whiners for fans.
  2. Yep, makes me think that a bunch on this board already had posts of "I can't believe the Bills hired [insert coach name here]. This just proves that Ralph is cheap, Russ Brandon doesn't know what he's doing and Buddy Nix is a moron. I just threw up in my mouth, am going to cancel my season tickets, am giving up on routing for the Bills, blah, blah, blah." Then as soon as the coach is announced, they add his name in, post the message and then go take out the trash cans like their moms told them to do five times already.
  3. More appropriate would be "What is your quest?" Because I'm not sure that they know. Not to be picky, I think it's an unladen swallow.
  4. @#$&! I was hoping the Bills were going to hire ^^^^^^^^^^^^. I hate __________________, he has no personality.
  5. That's why I'm actually routing for the Cowboys this week. Let Wade keep his job and get some resolution (one way or another) to the Cowher situation.
  6. I was thinking that exact same thing this afternoon. I don't know who we'll end up with, but I'd like it if we were the only ones out there looking for a coach. Hopefully we'll finally get someone decent. (That might be too much to hope for though.)
  7. Carwell Gardner Always looked great in pre-season (because he was playing against scrubs).
  8. Nice analogy. I don't know what the final result is going to be, but I agree that it seems to be down to Billick and Cowher at this point.
  9. Don't hold your breath on trading Lynch for value. I think other teams in the league know about his character and this year he was outplayed by Jackson. I would have thought Lynch would have made an effort to change his style (ie be more agressive to the hole and not dance sideways at the LOS) after he got demoted. Didn't happen and there are a lot of other running backs out there that are the same as or better than Lynch. A team wouldn't need to trade for him. He'll be with the Bills and backing up Freddie next year.
  10. Me too. And if by some miracles of miracles they land Cowher, I would feel very good about the possibility that there is some kind of "succession plan" in place to keep the Bills in Buffalo. I don't think that Cowher would sign on to be the coach of a team that he thought stood a chance of moving as soon as the 91 year old owner passes from the scene. (Either that or Cowher is convinced that after Ralph is gone the Bills will relocate to Carolina to be closer to Cowher's wife and daughter.)
  11. Yeah, I seem to remember that rumors were that Gibbs was putting a staff together and then a day or so later he agreed to come back to the Skins. This is all if we believe Florio though, I'm not impressed with his "sources" and think that he makes a lot of this crap up just to get hits to his website.
  12. He's planning on going somewhere. He's putting a staff together, that is if you can believe Florio. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...istant-coaches/
  13. Absolutely NOT. The dude was uninterested in fighting for balls and looked plain bored most of the season. The Bills need to build a core of young players who are hungry to win. TO doesn't fit either of those two categories. Buh-bye.
  14. Awesome! Thanks for the chuckle, but you forgot about the announcement that they're slashing the price of beer at the stadium.
  15. Amen, but in fairness he is not the only one on this board who needs spell check.
  16. I'm close to adding Nelson to the love category. He's made a few rookie mistakes, but he seems to have good hands, gets open and is getting better as a blocker. I officially hate Whitner, never was a fan anyway. Every time I see him on the field I just think that the Bills could have had Haloti Ngata.
  17. I believe NorCal was employing sarcasm. He sounds as enthusiastic about this change as he did when the Bills made him switch to left tackle.
  18. You make it sound like that would be a bad thing. I actually think that this move will help the Bills in the long run. Maybe the Redskins are looking at Chucky, who said he's not interested in the Bills. If Chucky signs there, Shanahan has one less dance partner. But if this plays out the way I think (and I'm sure a lot of you do to) the Bills are going to end up going with a coordinator or lesser known coach anyway. So this with the news that the Bills are going to start lining up candidates for GM after Christmas is a good thing. Either we get Shanahan or we focus on getting a GM and have him hire an up and coming coach. I'd like a GM and a coach not a Coach/GM. I don't think a coach can handle the personnel matters at the same time.
  19. Here's the only interview of Grimm that I could find: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-tota...9000d5d80e6250a I like that Grimm was a successful player on Super Bowl teams. He has been on and coached for successful teams and organizations (Redskins pre Daniel Snyder and the Rooney owned Steelers). He's coached with Cowher and Whisenhut and was coached by Gibbs, so he's seen good coaches coach. Whether that means he will be a good head coach, I don't know. He's not a fiery personality, he's kind of bland in this interview. I would like the Bills to consider him though and I would be happier with him getting a look than Martz or Billick. Martz is too impressed with himself and Billick coached his way out of Baltimore. Billick is also too impressed with himself and did a horrible job developing offensive talent (esp. QB's) in Baltimore.
  20. I know that I'm sounding like a broken record on this, but the Bills game will not be blacked out. The Bills sold the rights to sell tickets to the Toronto games to Rogers Communications. As soon as they did that, the NFL considers those games to be sold out since the Bills in effect sold every ticket to the game to Rogers. So it does not matter if Rogers sells the games out, they will still be broadcast in Buffalo.
  21. So far the only development is Jauron got fired. Don't get the cart in front of the horse. Just words so far and a meeting with Shanahan. Nothing really to get excited about or hopes up. I'll billieve when I see it.
