  1. we probably won't resign CJ anyway..there's no room for explosive high-impact players on this team. instead, we'll just give kelsay another extension.
  2. how CJ gets ignored in this offense on a rainy/snowy ****ty day is unacceptable..a disgrace. and i love freddy, but holy crap the guy does nothing but fumble this year. at the end of the day the team simply finds a way to lose..always. the rams were making circus catches on that last drive to get the win. SJ drops a pass right at his hands on 3rd down...offense had no spark today. nothing.
  3. Just stop dude. The thread wasn't misrepresenting anything. I wasn't comparing and contrasting different stats and specifically leaving out other stats...the thread simply related to TOUCHDOWNS for ****'S SAKE..give it up already.
  4. The mob mentality on these boards is amazing. A thread about our QB being tied for 9th in TD's turns into this..damn people. Are we only supposed to read 32258543 threads about how much this team sucks? No wonder bigcat and others bounced from here
  5. lol. only if you throw away your Fitz voodoo doll
  6. how about this, we leave the conversation where I started it? The point of the thread was simple: tied for 9th in TD's and 18th in salary this year. If you want to go on about QBR, that's fine, you can go there all you want man. And for TD's over turnovers, I'll leave it at this: a TD is an automatic 6 points, and an INT is not. PERIOD. There is this thing called a DEFENSE that gets paid to stop the other team from scoring from that INT/turnover.
  7. this is a two-way street, you also have to have your defense give you the ball back eventually. Where does the Bills Offense rank as opposed to the Defense in productivity? Yes, lets talk about "continuing" drives on offense vs. the defense "ending" drives for the opponent. Lets have that conversation.
  8. I actually agree with you, that stat was worthless b/c if they only get to the red zone 3 times in 4 games and score all 3 times that's only 3 TD's in 4 games. As for garbage time stats, tell me, how many game-changing sacks has Mario Williams had this season; how many garbage time rushing yds has CJ had...or Freddy...or TD's for Stevie? "garbage time" is nonsense..unless the score is 60-3, every minute of an NFL game counts - the other team is still trying to destroy you.
  9. Exactly, Fitzpatrick has the FEWEST attempts of the guys in the top 10 for TD's. Fitz has 373 pass attempts. closest to Fitz is freeman with 388..carson palmer who Fitz is tied with has 503..drew brees in 1st has 492 attempts. The average is in the 420's.. Gailey's "pass happy" offfense.
  10. LMAO..how am I "cherry picking" stats? The stat is WHAT IT IS. If you want to create a thread about his QBR, why not go ahead and create one. The stat is simple: tied for 9th in the NFL in TD's. How many players on this team are in the top 10 in ANY positive category? Or are freaking TOUCHDOWNS not a positive category now? Because from the posters on this board, apparently scoring TD's is overrated now.
  11. no single player stat is indicative of W/L - but again, TD's are pretty damn important.
  12. I created this thread to specifically mirror the Mario Williams being 8th in sacks thread. Its amazing how the reactions in this thread are drastically different (for the most part) from those in the MW thread.
  13. I'd say football is rather simple: Score TD's on offense; Prevent TD's on Defense. I'd say it's pretty important...not the be all end all, but it's high up there..lol
  14. Not bad for someone who ranks 18th in salary among NFL QB's: 1. Peyton Manning, Broncos - $19.2 2. Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers - $17 3. Michael Vick, Eagles - $16 4. Tom Brady, Patriots - $15.7 5. Eli Manning, Giants - $15.27 6. Drew Brees, Saints - $14.4 (Franchise Tagged in 2012) 7. Phillip Rivers, Chargers - $14.04 8. Sam Bradford, Rams - $13 9. Kevin Kolb, Cardinals - $12.6 10. Matthew Stafford, Lions - $12 11. Matt Ryan, Falcons - $12 12. Mark Sanchez, Jets - $11.64 13. Tony Romo, Cowboys - $11.17 14. Aaron Rodgers, Packers - $10.83 15. Carson Palmer, Raiders - $10.75 16. Matt Cassel, Chiefs - $10.5 17. Jay Cutler, Bears - $10 18. Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bills - $9.8 19. Matt Schaub, Texans - $8 20. Alex Smith, 49ers - $8 (new contract for 2012) 21. Matt Hasselbeck, Titans - $6.67 22. Matt Flynn, Seahawks - $6.5 23. Joe Flacco, Ravens - $6 24. Andrew Luck, Colts - $5.9 25. Cam Newton, Panthers - $5.5 26. Robert Griffin, Redskins - $5.4 27. Josh Freeman, Bucs - $5.2 28. Chad Henne, Jaguars - $3.38 29. David Garrard, Dolphins - $3.35 30. Brandon Weeden, Browns - $2.8 31. Christian Ponder, Vikings - $2.54 32. Andy Dalton, Bengals - $1.3
  15. lol..that's silly. TD passes are the "wrong stat" now? Fitz is on pace for 27TD passes this season and the "correct stat" is 6.6yds per attempt? this entire conversation says more about the posters on here than it does anything else
  16. LOL..it's pointless to argue with people like him.
  17. i really feel for Wood but i agree w/getting a replacement. calling him injury prone is an understatement - he has piss-poor luck. poor fella. hopefully it's nothing season ending and he's only out a week or two, but it didn't look good at all...
  18. lol ...don't forget the jets too..
  19. how many more wins would we have with a defense that gave up 14 fewer points a game? at the end of the day, it's just a very average, to below average team. when the offense performs well, the defense stinks; when the defense does well, the offense stinks; when the defense and offense are both OK, the special teams stink...at the end of the day we do just enough to lose games. just bad.
  20. the easiest thing at this point is to fire everyone....however, i'm kinda tired of seeing a coaching change every 3 yrs like clockwork.
  21. unless we trade up to 1-3 in the draft, no QB we take next year in the draft is going to start from day 1..i think that can be taken to the bank...mid-season/end of season, who knows depending on how it's going. but ya, either way, Fitz will be starter next year, Week 1.
  22. this is one game i'd prefer not to touch with money. both teams are below average but can be unpredictable (in a good way) at times. i could see Jax winning by 10 just as easily as I can see the bills winning by 10. no thanks.
