  1. i wouldn't like it b/c of where we're picking (prob 8-14)..to me he's a late 1st round/early 2nd round QB. he's got major accuracy issues. i'd be happier with best player available when we pick in 1st round, and that best player sure as heck won't be wilson in that spot.
  2. pretty much on point here. not sure why this is so hard for people to understand. Chan and Fitz are joined at the hip. short of back to back 4 int games, fitz isn't sitting.
  3. this guy is horrible horrible horrible vs. the run and now he can't get to the QB..no thanks.
  4. ya i definitely thought of that...but a DE taken 8-14 isn't going to break the bank...pass rush is also a position i'd rather overpay for b/c you can never have too much of it. unfortunately for us, we've had very little of it. outside of teo, there isn't a LB worth taking top 10. i can't see us going DB again in the 1st round; i also don't see us going DT in the 1st round...looking at the players that are coming out this year and the fact that we're probably going to pick 8-14, I think it's obvious the pick is going to be DE, LB, or QB with the 1st pick and about 1% chance of anything else.
  5. i pretty much agree with everything you just said. i really am not crazy about ANY of the QB's in this year's draft. Though I do think Geno is going to be good.
  6. Jarvis Jones is probably better suited for a 3-4 defense, but ya the guy is a beast. However, i think the german tank is the best DE in this draft and would look awesome playing across from mario williams and/or rotaing in with anderson.
  7. lol..that was for dramatic effect on my part.
  8. very strong possibility that we pick a QB in one of the first two rounds, however, I can't see Geno being there when we pick; and i want nothing to do with Barkley - nothing. Tyler Wilson in the 3rd round sounds more appealing, or trade back into the 2nd to get him. outside of Geno Smith i'm not crazy about any of the QB's in this year's draft
  9. 1. Bjoern Werner - DE - FSU - 6'4 256. A german tank. You can never have enough DE's..especially when half the ones you got are average. 2. Tyler Eifert - TE - ND - 6'5 252. 3. Justin Hunter - WR - TEN - 6'4 200 4. Matt Elam - SS - Florida - 5'10 202 5. Manti Te'o - LB - ND - 6'2 255 If we could get 2 of those 5 in the first 2 rounds i'd be extremely happy. Post yours! Obviously I'd love Geno Smith but no way we're getting him, considering we'll be picking anywhere between 8-14. He'll be gone 1 or 2 probably.
  10. this team has so many issues i don't know where to begin: 1. it all starts with chan - he relies on the passing game way too much. 2. we don't have a true #1 WR/premier WR. SJ's catch yesterday should've been taken to the house being that he had 3 steps on the DB. Our WR had like 3 drops yesterday to boot. 3. our LB's are piss-poor. 4. Fitz is too inconsistent...he'll hit 8 or 9 in a row and then he'll go 2 - 12. 5. Our O-line can't pass protect for longer than 2.5 seconds. 6. Our O-line has no balls and can never convert a 3rd and short. We're soft. 7. We have a kicker who apparently can't even attempt a 50yd FG in a !@#$ING DOME??
  11. as i've said before, this team needs a RT. Neither Pears or Hairston cut it if a play takes longer than 2.5 seconds to develop.
  12. Stafford has simply failed to meet expectations. #1 overall pick and after 4 years 1 playoff appearance.. He's closer to the "bust" label than he is to sniffing the playoffs again. Stafford: 2,988yds 12 TD, 10INT Fitzpatrick: 2,179yds, 17TD, 10INT I wonder what numbers Stafford would put up here in Buffalo without Calvin Johnson.
  13. i'm just saying MY nuts are more valuable than Gronk on the Bills' roster.
  14. i think there are only two keys to this game: 1. Win turnover battle 2. Have the defense show up If those two things happen, we should easily win this game. The bills are the better team overall, imo. But if the defense allows the Colts to put up 30 points and we have silly INT's and/or fumbles we'll lose like 34 - 27 or some crap like that.
  15. I would give your right nut to have Gronk as our starting TE next to Chandler.
  16. horrible news for the pats. this seriously affects their offense. that being said, maybe they'll only score 40 on the jets now
  17. i agree, that one will come back to bite us in the ars.
  18. Stafford has probably the best WR in the NFL and he has seriously looked questionable at times. He's been around now a few years and the lions have yet to get over the hump. Newton could possibly be a complete headcase and his record/stats speak for themselves. RGIII I like a lot, but we'll see how healthy his career is.. What I'm saying is that I feel this offense can be successful with the offensive scheme in place and Fitz running it. I'd obviously take Luck in a heartbeat..
  19. i've watched Cam Newton play, he looks good good at 2-7. RGIII looks super at 3-7; Sam Bradford is stellar at 3-5; Stafford at 4-5; Gabbert at 1-8; Weeden at 2-7; Tannehill at 4-6; etc. Luck has been solid but look at the Colts' remaining games - they won't be above .500 much longer. All these QB's taken in the last 2 years or so aren't doing crap to put wins up for their teams. Keep ripping on me all you want, but I like Fitz and the understanding he and Gailey have of this offense. Fitz is only 29, it's not like the guy is 35 and there's no hope for the future. Keep adding to the offense by upgrading at WR and adding to the OL. Above all, add to the defense/LB, especially.
  20. Though WR isn't a top priority, we could definitely use an explosive/physical WR on this roster (ala Julio Jones)..that pick would be more of a luxury at this point but without Nelson, our WR corps is average at best..looking at our WR/TE corps, they're really a bunch of cast aways and late, late round draft picks (excluding Graham..but it's not like he was a very high pick either). That being said, definitely need LB and maybe even CB over WR at this point..
  21. Exactly why i'm not crazy about drafting a QB in the 1st if we pick 8-12.
  22. lol..stop. Why don't you start keeping track of "almost INT's" too now. I'll keep track of "almost TD's"..like the one Jones dropped right in the endzone after fitz threw it right at his hands. The offense wasn't effective in the sense that we were unable to FINISH drives, but the offense in the first half moved the ball up and down the field, dominated the time of possession the entire game and kept tacking onto the lead. The only complaint I had about last night's game from an offensive perspective is the same complaint i've had for several years now: we can't run it down their throats on 3rd and 1 or 3rd and short. There were three drives that ended yesterday b/c we were unable to convert on short yardage (the first one choice was stuffed, the second one was when Fitz threw out of an empty backfield, and the third was actually on 1st down at the goal line to end the half)...we shouldn't be passing in those downs and we should be able to just run it down their throats with our offensive line..but we can't..we need to seriously improve in that aspect. Other than that, the offense pretty much did enough to manage the game and definitely not lose it. That being said, game ball obviously goes to the defense yesterday. Truly their best effort of the season. Great showing.
  23. lol..no one is saying the defense has to keep Brady to 10 points...but how about in the 20's? 30? Other teams do it. Heaven knows we've spent enough money on the defensive side..I don't think it's asking too much to keep them under 30.
  24. quite frankly, b/c their QB is Tom Brady. The "Tom Brady does it, why can't Fitz" argument is absurd.
