NFL Rules That Are Nothing Short of Contradictory ?
bobobonators replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Wiz: though I agree a ten yd penalty for offensive holding sucks, I think the last thing this league needs is less penalty yards for the offensive side. It's hard enough to play defense in this league as is. -
What a great weekend of NFL action

People love to complain about the NFL and that it's not what it used to be. The NFL is the most entertaining professional league in this country, hands down. -
Comprehensive Bills O line evaluation thread

San Jose: completely agree. I suppose one possible positive in this respect is that if anyone should know something about the O-line, it should be Marrone. Hopefully he'll be able to find a couple of diamonds in the rough and turn that group around. -
Comprehensive Bills O line evaluation thread
bobobonators replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My question is what do we possibly have in Mark Asper, McClain, Unga, and Hairston. And can any of those 4 be an answer to at least ONE starting spot on the O-line. O-line players always fascinate me in that there are countless examples across the league of unheralded players in college becoming legit starters in the NFL. I'm certainly no expert on O-lineman - they're a mystery to me. My one complaint about the Bills' O-line for the last few years has been the same: they are soft. Our O-line, when push comes to shove, gets shoved around. Countless times we have been unable to convert on short yardage. This O-line needs a player or two to give it a bit of a mean streak; to give it some attitude. -
Bills need to poop or get off the pot.

I personally dont think injury concern should be a worry (though injuries are impossible to predict) Theres something to be said about certain players being elusive. Manziel is elusive and smart. Much like russel wilson. I didnt see him taking too many horrible hits in college. Hes also not flutie-like in size. Unlike vick, hes a pass-first QB and scrambles when necessary. Id take Manziel in a HEARTBEAT. He dominated alabama 2x's, he didnt just pad his stats vs the Troy's of college football. The guy has all the physical tools and grit - something that cant be taught. -
A TY and a TJ diverged in the woods...
bobobonators replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Colts are but 1 of 31 teams that have made the playoffs and have been more competitive than the bills over the last 14 years. Yes, every single other team in the NFL has had more success, at a given point in time, than the bills have over the last 14 years. It has absolutely nothing to do with luck and everything to do with poor scouting, poor coaching and poor managing. -

Sure you can. The poignant difference being that no other team has a 14 yr playoff drought. -

Lmao! Spilt milk? 14 years of not sniffing the playoffs and u make that remark? You must have low standards in life. Its ok, son, so you got an F in 3 classes. No use in crying over spilt milk. Shoot for that C next time. -

How much faith do you have in M & M?
bobobonators replied to Gerry's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
NewEra: I hear ya. One can dream. I figure there are 3 very good TE's in this draft and ONE of them should still be there in the 2nd round when we pick. Maybe not. I'm hoping Matthews' 40-time at the combine is average so he's still there in the 2nd. So ya, I'm probably dreaming. haha. -

50% Complete coinflip at this point. There are a couple of things about Marrone that bothered me a little bit this season. EJ too. -
Bills 2014 opponents - Home & Away
bobobonators replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, I personally think the schedule is brutal. Do we have a single "easy" game on there? Maybe the Vikings at home...if you consider our run D vs. AP an easy game. This year we at least had the Brownies, Bucs, and Jaguars...all three "easy" games, and we still lost 2 of them. I see us going 3-3 in the division. Chiefs - L Chargers - L Packers - L Vikings - W Broncos - L Bears - L Lions - L Raiders - W -
What it means to be the "highest paid" at a position
bobobonators replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We have a lot of cap room. Byrd is an elite player at his position. I'm of the mentality that you keep elite talent no matter the position. Byrd is a playmaker on defense - He has the most INT's in the entire NFL for a safety over the past X-amount of years. If that isn't worth top money at a position, what is? Looking at our roster, is there a player that is better than Byrd at his position? Maybe Mario? Can't think of anyone else. Discussing if Byrd is truly the #1 FS in the NFL is semantics. He's elite, and that can't be argued (IMO)..whether he's #1, #2 or #3, who cares. Trust me, in 1-2 years he won't be the highest paid anymore. But you know what? He'll still be a baller for us and not the Bears. -
Texans Hire Bill O'Brien as Their Next Head Coach

If we can see this about ST, how do you think the players feel? On a sidenote, if im a star athlete i also pause when i see so many coaches/assistants coming from one program - syracuse. And the ones who arent from syracuse are buddy buddy with Marrone. The one exception is Pettine and no coincidence that was the better side of this team.
