  1. And... one of the first things new President Biden did was issue an executive order called "Executive Order on Protecting Public Health and the Environment and Restoring Science to Tackle the Climate Crisis" which killed Keystone XL while also freezing new drilling leases. Sure the industry has lots of leased land as Jen points out in WH press conferences while failing to mention you also need drilling permits. Activists lobbied investment and private equity firms, Wall Street Banks, state and private pension funds, and other large investment pools of money to sell, stop, and starve the domestic oil industry of capital. This effectively eliminated the shale drillers from capital markets. The big players cut capital spending budgets. Add to this the Green New Deal and the message delivered to the industry that we're not going to need you much longer. So who in their right mind commits billions to exploration and drilling in that kind of environment combined with efforts to starve the industry of capital?
  2. Reviewing the SEC submission it looks like its addressing some debt issue due 2022 rather than a de-listing of common stock from the exchange.
  3. A key part of the administration's agenda is to eliminate, and if necessary criminalize, critical and logical thinking among the citizenry. So this all sounds good to their voter base. Concepts like design & engineering, capacity, capital requirements, site planning, build-out costs, labor costs, skill requirements, resource acquisition and procurement, logistics & transportation, lead times, and schedules & time lines are not something the people need to worry about. Because Biden has "a plan".
  4. Or perhaps Col. Vindman auditing phone conversations for the CIA between world leaders?
  5. I understand when he's not attending "be less white" Pentagon briefings Gen. Milley speaks with hostile foreign commanders and generals so I expect he would know the specifics to the Russian's military intentions through mutual sharing of tactics and battle plans.
  6. I expect transgender Mickey and Minnie coming to the properties cannot be far behind. One thing you cannot accuse the left of is creativity as they consistently re-purpose existing characters rather than expend an effort to create new ones.
  7. Because supporting LGBTQ is the easiest path for whites, specifically white heterosexual males, to move out of the identity politics classification and definition of oppressor and onto the other side of the ledger into the supporting the oppressed category as defined by the woke hierarchy and pyramid. So its quite popular with your typical socially conscious neo-liberal.
  8. News indicates negotiations are picking up. Highlights I've seen Ukraine will drop NATO membership desire Still wants to pursue EU membership Does not want to cede any territory Russia willing to withdraw forces but wants recognition of Crimea as part of Russia and independence of Donetsk and Lugansk republics. In conflict with Ukrainian position #3. This appears to be the major area of disagreement right now.
  9. U.S. says Poland's MIG-29 fighter jet delivery plan to Ukraine is unworkable. Also, no explanation why they need more jets when they're not using the planes they have already. Saudis and UAE declined to take calls from President Biden on Ukraine and oil supply. But they did speak with Putin and Ukraine president Zelensky. So now its off to Venezuela to extend the hand of friendship to Maduro and tell him we were just kidding about overthrowing his government and proclaiming Juan Guido as the "real" President. I guess the administration can simply explain it was Trump's fault.
  10. Yet Biden and crew had no problem accepting credit for the BLS jobs report last Friday which reported 678,000 jobs added to the economy in January. So like all Presidents, when the news is good they take credit. When its not they deflect the blame. But voters rarely buy excuses and recent approval polls appear to reflect that sentiment. As Truman is quoted to have said, "the buck stops here".
  11. For anyone interested this is a good source of rig count data. https://rigcount.bakerhughes.com/na-rig-count
  12. More precisely, no matter how much drilling you want to do, depletion of known oil reserves thru consumption exceeds new discoveries and additions to reserves. Exploration and development is more expensive and results in lower flow rates and well life. Shale for example has extremely steep depletion rates. Energy in vs. energy out ratio approaching non-economic break-even. The world uses more oil annually than it finds annually. Market prices are set at the margin. And lastly.. the incoming Biden administration told the industry we won't be needing you for much longer. So who invests billions in light of that attitude?
  13. Yes I'm stating facts from actual real-life events and you're providing your personal opinion. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/dec/17/russia-issues-list-demands-tensions-europe-ukraine-nato
  14. He said arming Ukraine and extending membership to NATO was a "red line" which they will not allow. Its was articulated in the negotiation position documents provided to the U.S. and its allies prior to the conflict.
  15. Trashing up this thread? Who elected you hall monitor today? And conspiracy. Global commodity markets conclude this is a very real problem. I think what's called 2nd and 3rd order negative consequences to this war. Look at countries where consumers already spend a high percentage of their income on food that's getting more expensive and tell me its not going to be a real problem.
  16. Nobody ever said the perpetual US government war machine was bad for the defense business. And the defense industry is where former Pentagon generals and procurement officers find work after "retirement". As they say "thank you for your service" and here's your $500K a year board seat. Quid Pro Quo I think is what its called. You know what else is up? All the energy ETF's and funds, commodity stocks, and precious metals positions (and emerging market funds for later) I started to accumulate right after the inauguration in January 2021. Because I concluded early on that Uncle Joe and his crew of misfits and morons would screw every up real good which would result in some higher prices, chaos, and lots of economic, social, and political disorder. And I was right. Coming next by Summer should be things like food riots and social disorder in lots of countries around the world when food prices surge higher still and food scarcity hits. 21st century Democrats.. the party of chaos. What a mess.
  17. So answer concerns of alleged massive DNC voter fraud with one specific counter example of alleged GOP vote fraud impacting 2 votes and call it even? Is that the game in play here?
  18. Corn exports too. Fertilizer, rare earth metals, rocket engines for NASA space shots.
  19. If, if, & if. If I could run the 100M sprint three seconds faster I'd be the Olympic champion.
  20. Says Fred Wellman, Lincoln Project Executive Director. I'll wager if he or anyone else said the left wing media money machine was Chinese he would be censored.
  21. While Trump is a detestable person in many respects it all comes down to the truth that Trump's election interrupted the political agenda of the .1% elite and their followers for 4 years and the former President and those that dared to vote him into office need to be punished for their disobedience and disregard for their agenda. Rather than move their agenda forward during his term they were required to "play defense" and obstruct anything in his term that might have damaged or inhibited their goals and objectives.
  22. I said or implied nothing of the sort. But you're going to attack mode already? Attacking my character which implies your argument has no validity. For simply pointing out that western countries that urged Zelensky and his country to take a more aggressive posture with Russia abandoned him when hostilities broke out and hung him out to dry? I'm just the messenger here. But that's exactly what happened. Maybe your anger should be directed at those weak governments who made lots of promises and threats but all they're doing is urging the Ukrainians to fight the good fight on their own?
  23. Think about that given the context that the U.S. and all the other western governments and NATO officials that made lots of promises and threats while claiming to support the people of Ukraine have not lifted a finger to stop him. What are they waiting for?
  24. Context. Here's how we make something out of nothing. At the time 15 years ago, Trump was a private citizen seeking to do business in Russia. Lots of businesses from Microsoft to McDonalds were courting the Russian government seeking opportunities in that "market". If you want to suggest Trump is acting inappropriately, should we also then question the motives and loyalties of the executives and representatives of all Western individuals and companies making such overtures at the time? There's nothing extraordinarily odd or unique with Trump's actions from the time. And while we're at it, maybe Time magazine should be criticized first?
