  1. I think this is reality. Its most likely at this point that Russia is going to prevail absent any direct military involvement by US or NATO forces. Zelensky is not going to get back Crimea or the Eastern provinces. Heck, there are provinces in Ukraine with majority ethnic Polish and Hungarian populations that might choose to become part of those countries when all is said and done. This war of attrition has cost Ukraine most of their effective fighting forces along with seeing foreign mercenaries fighting on their side exit the confrontation at this point. News that recruiting standards have been lowered to conscript less qualified men into the Army as the populations of men in good fighting condition dwindles is a clear sign of stress. Soldiers are being sent to the front without any training, some kidnapped by security forces off the streets. Many that get sent to the front are killed in action immediately. Those trained on US and other NATO country weapons systems have been instructed how to operate the weapons and systems but not how to apply them successfully in combat. The Spring offensive has been a failure. Meanwhile, Russia has built up a sufficient fighting force that is sizeable enough to prevail in any war of attrition along with building up their domestic munitions industries. Their performance has been far from perfect with consistently bad leadership but the math doesn't lie. Nobody here is rooting for Putin as that ridiculous charge gets thrown out there any time some other posters want to invalidate another's opinion that deviates from the official view. We can wish all we want for Ukraine to prevail but reality needs to be the place where smart and fact-based decisions are made. Again, if the US and NATO are not willing to engage in direct combat operations this conflict is lost. If they are then there are other risks and issues to consider.
  2. That's got nothing to do with Starlink. But when an opportunity to throw in your Trump memes presents itself then why waste it? Musk is not supporting Trump. Or another other candidate. Musk is working to support free speech on social media and fighting to expose and end government/corporate cooperative efforts to censor opposing views. Lefties still have a hard on for Putin because they're still deluded and brainwashed to believe he "stole" the election from their beloved Hillary.
  3. Apparently people that don't see the need to follow any rules or perhaps have no comprehension of contractual relationships have difficulty understanding that actual agreed to terms and conditions govern an arrangement and if and when one side violates the agreement the agreement is in non-compliance.
  4. NYC doesn't want any more guests and the Fed's idea to dump them off in NJ, mostly in Atlantic City, has been nixed by the governor. The solution would be close the border to more immigrants until this can be sorted out but they'll never do that when there's a good crisis that can be exploited.
  5. Even if it were true? That's an even bigger story than the trespassing rap!
  6. Starlink was not provided with the intent to support military operations. That's pretty much the entire story.
  7. How about they did nothing to preempt it, left the standard Capitol Police contingent swinging in the breeze to deal with 100K protesters, and let it happen while the National Guard was held back a couple blocks away until 8 PM when it was all over in order to exploit it for political purposes? How about those people? Not a one of them responsible for allowing the Capitol to be undefended has been questioned or held to account. But Joe Public taking selfies in the Rotunda gets a year for trespassing.
  8. I'm not going to defend anybody that committed acts of violence but I'm also not going to get on my knees and blow the government for the outstanding job (sarcasm) their doing either like some here.
  9. Asking you to share actual facts and sources to support your claim about something is an inability to discuss fact?
  10. More importantly, not having the ability to get away with it without suffering legal and other consequences unlike the democrat's cult of chaos which gets away with all sorts of riots and plunder. Mostly peaceful protests! Remember that whopper of a lie?
  11. Can you post a link or source of that survey?
  12. Could be a number of potential groups. On thing is certain. As long as the people rioting have the backing of the Democrats running the government and law enforcement where the riots are happening they will face no consequences.
  13. To add to your view. I beleive most of these political, and business, bigwigs are sociopaths thst have no real feelings like sympathy or empathy, or any genuine concern for others. They simply have just learned to imitate those feelings and behaviors (like feigning sorrow over some loss) by observing others that do. As Sociopaths they naturally have high self-esteem and are threatened by anyone smarter or "better". Narcissism is one characteristic of their psyche. Along with concern only for themselves which they've learned to hide in public.
  14. This post should close the topic as that's ultimately the end of the story.
  15. Was there? Because if there wasn't there's likely no law requiring a private citizen to maintain "security" recordings of their personal residence.
  16. Was there a violation of a court order to preserve evidence in effect?
  17. You think supporting this senseless war that's resulted in the deaths of 100's of thousands of Ukrainians makes you a hero?
  18. It doesn't matter if you know you're innocent. You still might have something to worry about. Because what you think doesn't matter. What matters is what the cops and investigators think. That's why engaging legal counsel is a good idea. And why making statements or answering questions beyond providing some basic information and being cooperative above level is discouraged.
  19. Really? Is that what you think? I don't know how mutual funds work? Like actively or passively managed, load or no load, sector or general or index funds. Growth vs. value vs. income funds. Investment decisions and considerations for ETFs vs. funds vs. stocks. Stuff like that? Thanks for setting me straight. FYI. Those stats are directly from industry reported updates as of 6.30.23. And I'm not going to social media to get that info. And sure its client money but who votes those shares at corporate meetings and events? Not the mutual fund shareholders. its the fund manager or fund company management.
  20. Vanguard and Blackrock ranked #1 and #2 institutional holders for: APPL - 8.34% and 6.65% MSFT 8.79% and 7.22% AMZN 7.04% and 5.92% NVDA 8.15% and 7.37% GOOG (class A) 8.19% and 7.06% Surprisingly even XOM 9.70% and 6.79% (what happened to ESG?)
