  1. No kidding. The guy is looking at real estate sounds like he wants to be prepared for whatever happens. If he stays this is something he would probably like to take care of so he can get down to business.
  2. How many college QBs are really ready to play at the next level. Prescott was a bit of an outlier. He walked into a dream scenario. A strong o-line and weapons will take the heat off of a lot of guys. Dak wouldn't have fared quite so well in Cleveland or Jacksonville. This is not earth shattering news. There were very few snaps actually taken under center last year by the top candidates in this year's draft so they will all need to be groomed.
  3. Interest abounds for all! I am sure virtually every team has some sort of interest in virtually every player out there. Looks like another scattershot Tweet.
  4. Well done, Simon! Being able to articulate anything beyond some greeting card hyperbole is beyond human art form. I applaud the way you phrased that in this time of grief. I lost a wife years ago to cancer and I still don't know what to say to anyone who has suffered this type of loss.
  5. Who is the HotSpur? Pegs is on that list
  6. You deserve some sort of award then!
  7. If I am Cleveland I let the chips fall. No trade. Let Whaley make his play and take what is given. The Browns have cap money to burn so they can afford to play with house money. Granted Tyrod might be cheaper via a trade but with all the money they have to spend and the number of draft picks they hold, force Whaley's hand and then low ball him. Cleveland is in full rebuild, what's another year? They can get someone to keep the seat warm and or use a pick to do what most on this board would do anyway and that is draft a Qb this Year and next, saving money and picks. They will probably get another early bite at next year's apple anyway.
  8. I would tell Hardy's agent someone is hiring but it isn't here. Good luck......
  9. Does the narrative fit the Tweet or the Tweet fit the narrative? What a chicken/egg scenario. The song remains the same, post a Tweet, start a thread, and oh by the way which Qb thread is this? Is it the one where Tyrod isn't the bridge, is it the tank version for Darnold, or just the Whaley is an idiot thread. Can't wait to see what the next episode is, thankfully the next page is about to be turned and another round of Tweets and threads will cycle up. Here's to hyperbole!
  10. Another top DB? Really? I don't have him that high on my board
  11. If you say it loud enough......
  12. I don't need to connect those dots. If walks like a duck and quacks like one it must be a duck. We will know soon enough how much this story has teeth. If Tyrod stays, Whaley is a dead man walking. If Tyrod goes we will know Whaley is in charge and McD is just the next coach stuck in spin cycle.
  13. By day 42 Wentz wasn't so fine.....
  14. Exactly and Coach Carroll's fingerprints are all over this franchise.
  15. Consider me a fan who would hire a coach I could trust with that responsibility. I don't know if McD is that guy or not but I do know Whaley isn't. His body of work is not all that impressive.
  16. Really? That guy in New England, what is his name? He does a pretty good job wearing two hats. You just have to find a guy like that. Simple really.
  17. Good story, plausible narrative, the soap opera at OBD continues. I would imagine the coaching staff wants to get to work on installing something, anything, but until the Quarterback position has some definition all they can do is plan for contingencies. Whaley wants his guy whoever that is and one thing I think we can all agree on is that ain't Tyrod. If I am Pegs and the children can't play well together I side with Coach on personnel decisions, tell Whaley to work out the acquisition(s) or show him the door. You have to let the chef choose the groceries, because at the end of the day it's the coach who has to answer for the results.
  18. Sometimes a dead horse just needs kicking
  19. Why leave a cushy dynasty for the NFL?
  20. On the one side this board is populated by people who think they can do OBD better or others who believe themselves to be great journalists. Either way it's just an opinion. As far as Gilmore goes....next man up.
  21. Why can't some people grasp this simple concept?
  22. He won't have to. There are lots of teams that will be looking for his services. More than one team with a legit passer will show him the money.
  23. That is what I was thinking.
