  1. Suck or Blow??? Depends on how fast you spin them....... and or what direction they are revolving.
  2. The truth is that the Bills O-Line coach did not care for Shelton. The proof was that he was willing to go with Gandy speaks volumes on what he thought about Shelton. I don't think being questioned by the Arizona front office is really such a bad thing.
  3. Positives.... TH was tough as nails. He never gave less than 100% Played injured. Kept his trap shut.....until last year. Negatives..... Off the field problems. Fumbles too much. Had a balance problem...falling over without being touched (Oakland game) Not the best pair of hands. Kept waiting for him to break a long one for a TD....he never did. Still a decent RB, hope he has success in Tennessee.
  4. I heard that when the lotto was held for the rights to Patrick Ewing the league used cards drawn from a big hopper. Apparently, they froze the card that had the Knicks on them. Reach in...grab the cold card..... Crosby becomes a Ranger! I don't know...I am probably FOS!!
  5. Now you actually believe that Jax would offer a 2nd round pick only a few days after the lowest they would go was a 4th? If you do...I have some nice land to sell you in New Jersey near the Meadowlands. .....a "league source said so" "don't be so gullible McFly"
  6. Duffs on Sheridan are the best that I have ever had. Nothing has come close to theirs ever since. The Anchor bar was kind of a dissapointment. I have never had the chance to taste Canadian Chicken wings.
  7. Hate to say it but I think the newspaper guy is right. Have to agree that there is not much to discuss during this dead point of the year. If you start talking about whats on TV....or a lame dancing show, then I start dial hopping.
  8. Coach Stram was a well respected man. Total class on and off the field. Demanded his teams show respect. Not many like him left these days in the NFL. Could you imagine Stram demanding that Terrell Owens wear a dress suit and tie when travelling with the team? MUTINY!!!! So Long Coach.
  9. During the 1976 season I visited training camp at Niagara U. I was able to get OJ, Fergy, Joe. D, and a bunch of others. All the players were real nice to us that day. We even bumped into Mr Wilson, who was not quite as respected as he is today. He signed for me, and chatted us up for quite a while. The only negative situation we encountered that day was when Head Coach Jim Ringo got really pissy with us. He was a real prick. I was happy to see he was canned soon afterward.
  10. Fact is that I don't care either way. Since she is 19 now, she is free to do what she wants. It's part of growing up and learning. I can only suggest the way things should be done in her life.
  11. Did you really think that Pat was going to make these type of comments after he left? 1- Ron Edwards will do a much better job at NT than he did. Ron will probably play alot more as well. 2- JP Losman is going to lead the Bills right to SB40. He is such a great team leader. Much better than Drew. 3- Travis should shut his mouth and be TD's poop boy for the entire season. After all he has a contract...right? Did you really expect Big Pat to say this? Pat was a class act with the local charities. He will be greatly missed in that area.
  12. I have a 19 yr old daughter that about 5 years ago was real heavy into rap, and a few boy bands. Hell, I even took her to see the Spice Girls. Although I myself was not into that sort of music, I never knocked her choices of music. I remember my dad totally freaking the first time I put Jimi Hendrix on the turntable. I promised that I would never do that to my kids. Now my daughter is heavy into Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Who, and the Dead. Why she changed....who knows? I just think that quality music will always take it's place when it is discovered by young people.
  13. SON OF A .....! Man was that a bad nite or what... Still don't know if that Sabres team was good enough to win the series if they had somehow won that game. Just sucks to be screwed by the man while he is looking you directly in the face.
  14. Bruce plays the HSBC July 18th. Just announced.
  15. Hunter is a true champion in every sense of the word. And a champion never quits. May God continue to give you his blessings.
  16. Congrats on the upcoming visit. Far as I am concerned RWS is a friggin shine. Make sure you get there early to take a long walk around the lots. It is almost as fun as the game itself. Remember to bring the proper food to tailgate for pre and postgame. Pregame is usually sausage, chicken, anything that smells great on the grill. Post game is a good time to heat up some previously prepared chili on the grill. You also grill the remainder of the food you have left that you did not eat during the pregame. It is always in good form to offer anything that you have left on the grill that you are not going to eat, to random unknown passers by. Word of caution...Not a good idea to have your buddy wear the Chiefs uni. Make sure you have proper space to make a quick exit out of your seat in case things start to get out of hand. Enjoy!
  17. Hold on a second!!! Usually the first few home games in September are played in awesome weather. The Jacksonville game was played on a sunny warm day. I am sure plenty of fans could have said.....Too nice a day, I think I will stay home! The thing is...to be a true fan of a team means that you follow that team no matter how nice, or how inclement it is outdoors. Bills fans are TRUE followers of the team. Sundays in the fall are a rite of passage. How many of your families schedule special occasions around the bye week? It's a way of life around here. In Miami...it's just another distraction.
  18. I grew up on the Island, and I am familiar with the family. God Bless You Guys. Say a Prayer if you can tonite for the lost, and the loved ones. God Bless America!!!!
  19. My cousin owns the Quizno's that is being built in Springville. Had to put his beautiful house up to get the franchise. He hopes it will be a big hit in Springville. Most of the ones near me do so/so biz. Always seems Subway is busier. Oh Well.
  20. The absolute worst was John Unitas as a San Diego Charger!!!! Enough to make you vomit.
  21. Whoa......did King pick the Arizona Cardnals to win the NFC West last week? THATS WHY THEY PLAY THE GAMES......
  22. I remember the 1971 team as being one of the worst teams ever. OJ was lost early in the season with a knee injury...returning a kickoff of all things. Their star 1st round draft choice JD Hill was also injured. The head coach was Harvey Johnson. A real nice scouting guy....NEVER should have been a head coach. The team of course was still playing in the rockpile. And everyone should remember that bad football being played in the rockpile.... was a disaster. Went to one of the final home games that year against the Pats. The Patriots were almost as bad as the Bills, so we expected a pretty horrible game. JD Hill was just coming off his knee injury, and tore up the Patriots for 2 TD's. One score was on a long bomb from Dennis Shaw. As the game wore on we were not very confident, but Jim Plunkett was just horrible. The Bills held on to win their only game of the season on that cold November afternoon. I remember the fans in our end zone section chanting "we're number five" as the game drew to a close.
  23. Ses was an absolute animal on the d-line. He was by far the strongest player in the AFL during his career. If you ever want a treat, as hard as it is to find quality film of the mid-60's Bills, watch Sestak dominate the line. He pretty much played on one leg during his career. Had he not tore up a knee early on...god only knows how long he would have played. I had a problem with John Fina wearing the number. He was a fine player though, and he did the number proud for a few years. A 70 throwback jersey would be sweet..no doubt.
  24. Much Kudos to you Mark VI for the fab avatar of the greatest player ever to wear the Bills colors. Sestak Rules. retire number 70 NOW!!!
