  1. Here it is...A 97 rock major concert announcement!!!!!!!!! JOURNEY at Darien Lake!!!!! That does not really seem all that major too me. Honestly, thats about as major an act as your going to get in this area. All the real top bands pass this area over. Maybe it would be almost major if Steve Perry was going to tour with the band again.
  2. Rice was done about 3 years ago. As far as I am concerned, putting this guy on your roster does nothing but take away a shot for a young guy to make the team. Shanahan has not won much lately, so the pressure is on. A TYPICAL TBD POST: RICE SIGNS WITH THE DENVER!!! stupid TD loses another sure thing.....
  3. I tuned in to hear Don and Mike and I got F*****g "Raspberry Beret" By Prince!! You have got to be joking!!! Bye-Bye 92.5 The Jack........OFF!!!!!! What a joke!
  4. When I was a kid....I loved the Joe Namath era Jets. Those yrs 1967-70. Joe was just so cool. Then I became aware of where I lived! Now I bleed the Bills colors.
  5. Your kidding right.......this is a joke....please stop now!!! It would pretty much mean that Doug Flutie was just as good as Jim Kelly??? Dougie can go visit the Hall whenever he wants. THE ONLY WAY HE EVER GETS IN IS IF HE BUYS A TICKET. He should go proudly into the CFL hall.
  6. Say a quick prayer tonite for Joe Ferguson. Local Buffalo stations are reporting that Joe is being treated for cancer at a Houston hospital. I remember Fergy throwing for 5 td's in the Orange Bowl for the Bills first win there in ages. It was also Dan Marino's first NFL start.
  7. Try not to put too much stock in reports that quote "sources", and "league insiders". The writer probably tried to get TD to do an interview at some point, and TD may have told him to shove off.
  8. I just find it frigging amazing that most people will depend on PFW, or any old draft guide for their player info, when the Bills scouting guys do it for a living. Not defending the picks...but I will go with what the Bills scouts say before some draft book written by some moron. Do you think that John Clayton travels to meet and watch each player that has a chance to be taken in the draft? What about Mel Keiper?? Does Mel confer with his west coast scout when he needs to find out about a guy at USC? Wait 2-3 yrs like everyone else and then grade the thing.
  9. This Everett kid is going to be something special. Was hoping that the Bills would get him in the 2nd round! This kid is going to be the finest TE ever to wear a Bills uni. YEAH......Great Choice!!!
  10. Sirius radio is streaming live on NFL.com for free. Live from the draft. Much more informative than the local Buffalo coverage.
  11. Seems to me that the only question regarding Evans when he was drafted was the fact that he lacked a bit of maturity in college. All of those questions were answered early during training camp. I think in time he will be considered the best WR selected in 2004. Another solid year under his belt may put him in the Pro Bowl.
  12. The reason there were no real posts to the story is because it was old news. A CBC network story about Horton and his family painted a pretty sad picture. Horton was an alcoholic, he abused his wife and children emotionally for most of his playing days. He had made many terrible business deals in the years before he finally hit gold in the Doughnut business. It seemed that he continued to play because he had put himself in such debt. As far as the night of his passing. When Horton left his meeting with his partner Ron Joyce, he was obviously angry. He had been drinking, and had been using pain killers for a broken jaw he had suffered during the game versus the Leafs that night. With Horton, anger and alcohol were a bad mix. Mr Joyce called the OPP(Ontario Police) to try to stop Horton as he made his way home on the Qween Elizabeth Way. According to police, he ran several roadblocks before losing control of his Ford Pantera. He was thrown from the vechile, and was found DOA. Tim Horton was a hero to many. But that night he put lives in jeopardy...and lost his own. I believe the article in the Sunday news was just a rehash of what many people already knew. Just another way to sell newspapers on a slow sports day.
  13. Look everyone...... The Bills asked the league several yrs ago to NOT put them on MNF at home. It makes it tough on the people who have to travel long distances to get home at a decent hour. Saturday nite works well. I only really do one thing every time I watch MNF.... ZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZ Would love to see the Bills do real well this year....and have the rest of the country watch Drew Bledsoe get sacked in Dallas.
  14. Talking Golf at 8am on a Saturday morning leads to only one thing..... zzzzzzzz, zzzzzzzz, zzzzzzzz, zzzzzzzzz.
  15. I went to one last week that had 6 kids being baptised. The Church stood to make a good penny that afternoon since it was not a scheduled mass. Always good to drop some green on the the one whom performs the rites. Good Mojo all around!!
  16. The funny thing is that I saw alot of Arizona this year on TV... And I still had not heard of this kid till last week!! I think we should be careful about who we sign players away from.
  17. Way to go Haz!! Does anyone remember the game in Jims rookie season when he stepped on Terry Bradshaw's head!!!! He got thrown out of the game for that. A guy who was really affected by the roids! Takes alot of balls to call out a guy like Kent Hull. Why don't you call out your buddy Fred Smerlas!!! They did everything together....and most likely abused steroids together!! Go away Haz.....you are a lousy football coach. Your 15 mins are up!!!
  18. I think we might see the line go to 7 pts by Super Sunday. Vegas will not get any action at any thing under 3. New England is just that good. They really impressed me with the game they played vs Pitts. Seems like when they get a team down, they put their boots on em, and they don't let up.
  19. Great to hear that the Vikes have their heads into the game. I think that who does the fox play by play ranks about 100th in importance compared to being concerned about the Eagles. I hope the Eagles pound the Vikes into the ground. I predict that Randy Moss starts limping just before halftime, so he can quit by the third quarter when Philly has a 3 touchdown lead. And it will all be the announcers fault!.............
  20. All very good choices indeed. I would have to say the best debut album in my opinion is the first Beatles major label release in the US. "Meet The Beatles" The music on that first disk pretty much changed the course of modern music from that era. It totally obliterated the boy singers that were really popular at that time. Thank the fab four for the demise of stiffs like Frankie Avalon, Fabian,Pat Boone.....
  21. Yep.....anyone but JP! Give him a clipboard and a headset.
  22. When are people going to realize that the O-Line sucks no matter who the QB is. Sure Drew threw a few lousy balls. But there were sure some key drops out there. Put Matthews in and let him get killed, keep JP on the bench to learn.
  23. Look.....as much as I am for Drew riding the pines. Keep Losman on the bench until next year. You can start Matthews all you want. Remember when a young mobile QB named Archie Manning was virtually thrown to the wolves in his first year? He had no O-Line to protect him....and he got damn near killed. Why don't you think he wanted Eli to play in SD? NO OFFENSIVE LINE. The same situation exsists here. The Bills O-Line is probably worse off than SD right now. Get some O-Line help in here.....then you can start JP! GO RED SOX!!!!
