  1. DEMOTE GEORGE EDWARDS. Quick, let's pool our money, rent a sign on the Thruway so we can get this done!
  2. Although choosing between the Jets and Pats* is kinda like deciding if I'd rather have diarrhea or kidney stones, I guess I do share you sentiment. I'd rather have the Pats NOT win the AFC E again. The Jet/Raider game should be pretty good. OAK is likely smarting from their loss in BUF last weekend. I think these teams match up very well against one another!
  3. I've been watching a lot of X-files episodes lately (bought the complete series on DVD on ebay- if your a fan of the show or the genre, I suggest checking this out) and I noticed the our Bills are referenced more than one would expect on a SciFi TV show. For instance, the show's main antagonist (the cigarette smoking man) is asked if he has any preference for which team would win the Superbowl that year. Now, if your not familiar with the show, this was a shadowy character with lots of connections and therefore quite possibly had the power to rig the games. His reply was anyone as long as it's not the Bills because he hates them- thus implying that he had a role in their 4 SB losses. There was also an episode where Mulder and Scully had to meet an informer. Although they didn't know what the informer would look like, they were told that he would be wearing a Buffalo Bills hat. I also noticed Bills posters and banners in the background on several episodes. I wonder if Chris Carter (X Files director, not the receiver) was a fan of the show? Just wondering if anyone else noticed these things. Anyway, GO BILLS! Hopefully we'll be 3-0 tomorrow
  4. I second this. I watched the last QTR of the Raiders game tonight and it's funny, it's so easy to get caught up in the euphoria of winning that you overlook "what could have been". That's not to say that we didn't deserve to win; because we certainly did, but the fact of the matter is that game could have just as easily been a loss for us. Fitz can't play risky like that against NE unless our backs are to the wall. In his defense though, the near INT that Jones broke up in the end zone resulted from poor pass protection. Fitz had NO time to get rid of the ball. Overall, I feel confident though, especially b/c they have some injuries on their D line!
  5. Although most of them expect to win, they collectively seem to be pretty nervous about this game. Common themes: 1. The Bills are do for a win. 2. The FANS will be amped up. Worried about noise, atmosphere etc. 3. The Bills know how to score points. 4. They respect Fitz. 5. Not too worried about our D. 6. Confident that in a shootout, Brady will bring them to the promised land. 7. Should be a hard fought game. 8. Seem to be much more intelligent than the KC fans from week 1. BONUS. One of the posters said that the Bills K-gun is back and another poster corrected him and said it should be called the F-Gun. That that was pretty funny
  6. Didn't see this on the board. Basically, the Pats* have 2 players injured (1 O-line, 1 D-line). I'd rather beat a healthy Patriots*, but I'll take a win any way I can get one! The Jets (who play in Oakland this week) are also missing Mangold (their center) for the next few weeks. I think we all know how physical OAK is, hopefully, this hurts the Jets. With any luck, we could be in sole command of the AFCE by Sunday. Let's hope! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82270f7a/article/patriots-put-center-koppen-dt-pryor-on-injured-reserve?module=HP11_headline_stackBoth the Jets
  7. I looked into that, but you can't get anything other than numbers where the numbers normally go. There for an "O" or a large circle are both nogo's
  8. Let me be the first to +1 your response ! ! !
  9. Thanks, Sarcasm appreciated. You must be some kinds of internet thingy search wizard. No surprises really. Hopefully Fitzy tops the chart next week with some 4th QTR heroics, and Brady slides down the charts with a key 4th QTR interception
  10. I thought it was interesting in week 1 to see where ESPNs new QBR ranked QB's versus the fans' perceived performance and the traditional QBR. I went to look for it this morning following the Monday nighter and I can't seem to find it- Any of you know where it is? I figure that Fitz must be ranked pretty well considering his late game heroics. GO BILLS!
  11. I wish they sold those. I would def. buy one
  12. They look pretty good, but we still need to draft for Depth. Hopefully Ubrik is OK- have they announced what is wrong with him yet?
  13. Anyone check out the 49ers message boards to see what they are saying about Dante? I'm too lazy tonight
  14. Indeed. Chronic, you are a classy guy. I'll be rootin' for the raiders next week. Hopefully you CRUSH the Jests! If you ever find yourself in Buffalo or Rochester, check out Mighty Taco or Nick Tahou's Garbage plate. Don't forget the Zweigle's hots! Enjoy the Franks!
  15. Thats good then, nothing seriously wrong with Whysoserious
  16. Pass defense. That long TD in the forth that McLovin got burned on nearly killed me. I also thought that our pass rush was especially weak. What can we do to fix things things in time for Brady and Co?
  17. I have a sinking feeling that we are going to get blown out in the 2nd half. I also don't think we score before half time. Crap
  18. This is the God's honest truth! When I was young and my Grandparents used to drive up from FL to the ROC (originally Rochester natives) they would make sure to return to FL with a full cooler of Zwiegles Hots. THEY ARE THE SHIZZLE! Best hotdogs ever. Although, honorable mention goes to Glaziers Hots (anyone from the Potsdam area/St Lawrence County will know what I'm talking about)! CHRONIC-- Have you ever heard of a Garbage Plate, Mighty Taco or Bill Gray's?
  19. Not a big fan of Sanchez on or off of the field, but his QBR rating of 17 just isn't right! I'll stress that I don't think hes a top QB, but he did play a solid game. I think the fact that McNabb received a higher rating than Sanchez clearly illustrates that ESPN has some tweaking to do with the QBR system! That is total BS! McNabb only passed for 39 yards. Sanchez had over 300. Sure, he had two dangerous turnovers, but at the end of the day, it was his arm that moved the ball for the Jets. What they should do is average the QBR and traditional passer rating systems to come up with a NIQBRS (new and improved quarterback rating system)
  20. I predicted a Bills over KC blowout (34-10), but this game scares me. Thankfully we are at home and that they have to travel 3 time zones on a short week. Bills take this one 24-20.
