How come all the Trent homers bring up this fact, when Fitz played under the same circumstances and was the better QB? So then you automatically hail Trent the starter over Fitz. Why does the o-line defense for poor play only pertain to Edwards? Going by what everyone says about Gailey Fitz better fits his style because he is mobile unlike Trent.

That is how I see it as well. I can't stand another season of Lynch crab-walking to the sidelines or running straight into the back of our O-line and falling over. Not to mention all the off field issues and poor attitude.

Who is going to be our QB next year now??? This makes me think that Nix and Gailey are happy with our current stable of QBs.

52 touchdowns, 20 of which are over 50 yards....thats a gimmick I'll take any day. Any time he touches the ball whether it is a punt/kick return, screen pass, or sweep he has the potential to make a big play.

Well the Steelers Defense lost a lot of leads last year, their running game was about average, and their offensive line is near as bad as the Bills. Ben threw for 4300 yards last year, while being sacked 50 times. So Buffalo doesn't quite have the receiving core, he might ONLY throw for 3900 yards. Obviously there is so much wrong with Buffalo, but Ben would be a solid instant fix at the most important spot on the field.

Anyone else with DirecTV know what channel tonight's game is on. Will the feed be Versus or blacked out for another channel?

Buffalo has been in "rebuilding" mode now for 10 years and we have not seen any improvement. I know we are now in the Nix/Gailey era, but what is to say it will be any different. With Ben we would have a proven QB, an instant upgrade at the one position we have sucked at for so long. The Steelers overall have been declining, but Ben and his numbers have been improving for the most part (even with a craptastic Oline).

For the most part our Defense was able to keep us in our games last year. We had crap offense, which wouldn't score points and keep our D on the field until they tired and couldn't hold any longer. If Gailey can put a competent offense on the field this year I think we'll do just as well if not better. Maybe I'm far too optimistic.

I picked Spiller (only in said situation where top 4 tackles are gone).....I understand all the huge holes this team needs to fill especially on the OLine, but I think this guy is going to be special and a huge asset to anyone who gets him. Kind of like what Cribbs has done in Cleveland, any time the ball is in his hands he can score.

Haha nice try....as stated all over this thread Campbell put up decent stats last year, and has improved his play every year. The kid can take a hit as well, unlike glass jaw trent. It is a sad state when Campbell seems like our savior only because he is better then what we have.

Campbell does not get injured every time he is hit (which is a lot) and his stats have improved every year he has played. This is the polar opposite of Edwards, so yes we would be better off with Campbell.

I want to think I remember him costing the Cowboys a few big plays last year due to penalties.
