  1. Triple team him and watch what Ed Oliver does. Also, they have $90M in cap space. What are you worried about? Also, has this FO shown that they can scout college WRs? Um, he's got more TFLs over the past 5 years than anyone. Jordan has had a single good year. You can't even compare them.
  2. No offense here: isn't there a disconnect between a guy faking an injury to get out of an obvious penalty and championing your team's toughness?
  3. Yep. Fortunately this is an all-time good crop of FA EDGE guys. Disingenuous would be acting like $90M in cap room restricts the team from doing both. But fortunately neither of us is doing that, right?
  4. Yeah, we definitely couldn't have used an interior pass rush Saturday...when they sacked Brady zero times.
  5. You've got the cap room to trade for Donald and go get a WR1 this offseason. Plus the Rams will eat Donald's entire SB, so that helps. I just think you've got your QB on a cheap deal through the end of the 2021 season. Time to go for it IMO.
  6. Wait, there are really people that don't want the best defensive player in football?
  7. The nugget about the off-tackle stuff buried in point #2 deserves a thread unto itself. It's darn nice to read tidbits like that from people that really do study the game.
  8. OMG yes. Yes 1000 times. Consistently the best defensive player in football, and he's under contract for a half-decade. Pair him with Ed and let them eat for the next 4 years. Let Jordan walk and take the 3rd Rd comp pick.
  9. I remember this from the game; whoever the Bills' player was did the "I'm already down but I'll move the ball ahead anyway" thing. Nothing to see here...unlike 3-4 other key moments during that game.
  10. Of course it's fine to point out where he needs to improve. The problem is that many people try to pass off over-the-top criticism as just pointing out where he needs to improve. Case in point: in this very post you're saying he played poorly. He had over 100 passer rating and numerous elite-level plays that gave the team a chance to win against the best defense in the league, in their building, in a game the opponent needed to win, in prime time. Now, if you want to say that he's not good enough yet to get it done, fine. Totally defensible. To call what he did on Saturday "playing poorly" is outrageous IMO. Especially if it's all based upon "COMPLETION PERCENTAGE!!!1!1!111!1" Should I back up and ask if you are familiar with the term "colloquialism"? ?
  11. Speaking directly to a point that YOU brought up? Are you confident that you know what the colloquialism "cherry picking" actually means?
  12. Yeah, but that's only because we throw the ball more than other teams. Wait...no, it's because we're always playing from behind. Wait...no, it's because they gain huge separation and never drop the ball. Wait...no, it's because they have a size advantage and huge catch radii, so they always crush contested catches. Wait..no, it's...
  13. Meh, whattya gonna do? Lay out the tape and expect people to watch it and change their minds? I am quite fortunate that I'm able to watch every game every week. It's invaluable in terms of putting performance into context.
  14. Ah, so once again it's "COMPLETION PERCENTAGE!!1!1!!!1!1!1" Love that argument. Never gets old.
  15. But certainly not the early Knox throw that set up the Dawkins TD, or the Brown TD, or the 4th and 1 animal sneak, or the Beasley ropes on the final drive, or...maybe it's just easier to say that you're cherry picking.
  16. NFL.com says he's likely to miss 3 weeks
  17. Yep. It's frustrating...and what makes it worse is that they're robbing the kid of some serious growth opportunities in the process
  18. There's absolutely no reason to play the starters. At all. There is, however, a great opportunity to get some live reps for guys like Barkley, Yeldon, Bates, Boettger, Duke, etc that are one play away from being in the thick of playoff action.
  19. Not sure, and in truth it doesn't matter. The IDC calls for him to be removed and checked, so he gets removed and checked.
  20. That would be a big deal. He's their biggest over-the-top threat. Tre can probably earn a draw against Nuk, so being able to commit less coverage to a guy like Stills and leave Hyde and Poyer free to roam against Watson is a HUGE advantage schematically.
  21. It's bush league for sure, but in this case the refs did the right thing: they took him off the field, made him take the mandatory on-field tests, wait the obligatory 15 minutes, take the follow up tests, and only then cleared him to return. Not sure what else they could do.
